wow yes this is my memory of Brooklyn back in the day. Our Italian family down the street when I had asked, what that floral smell was. She took me in to view this being made. Holy cow. Lafayette avenue was a mix of family's from every county who was your neighbor and food was the glue that was the main thing to bind everyone as One. ✌
Right! My aunt was from Canarcy it was such a great time. All of the city has changed so much now days. All the kids playing in the street and the ice cream trucks were the best times lol.
You are correct I thought I was the queen of Mac and Cheese,Collard Greens until I tasted someone else’s,and I admitted right then she had me I was dethroned..😂
I would have stuck with the same pot that you had the sausage in and just drained off a little bit of the grease because there's plenty of flavor stuck on the bottom that those onions would have brought up. Beautiful dish
Not with that burnt taste on the bottom of that pot. The sauce would have that taste in it. Some things you can do that with, but this is definitely not one of them, lol. Thank you for sharing and watching.
My OCD would not let leave all that sauce and seasonings on the side of the pot like that. I was screaming internally "SCRAPE THE SIDES!!!" 😂😂 But looks incredible and will have to try soon!
Great recipe. I love to make pasta especially a rich meat sauce like this. my go to meat sauce is typically 50/50 beef and pork. My mom used a lot of thyme which is not typical and has become my secret weapon in a meat sauce especially if beef is involved.
Haven't been on in a while, catching up on the great vids you make. This one is outstanding my friend and timely too! Just picked up some delicious hot italian sausages last night and now know exactly what I'm gonna do with 'em! Thanks for the inspiration!
looks good 👍🏾 I like my sauce a liitle sweet which to me brings that italian sausage flavor profile to the forefront but i'll give your way a try as well
You make your gravy just like I do, except I use a food processor on the onions and peppers after I sauté them. I like it smooth. Nice job! I prefer a basil forward gravy rather than oregano
We have a garden and we can our own spaghetti sauce. It should work okay if I use my own canned spaghetti sauce in this recipe? It doesn't matter I'm going to try maybe thicken it up with little extra paste

Hi. That looks too good, nothing like Prego sauce 😋. God bless.

I also grow my own hard neck garlic into their as well
Nice

This looks so yummy. Can you cut the sausages up when adding to the sauce?
Yes, absolutely
I bet that garlic and onion smells amazing 9:25
You know it!
It looks scrumptious! Can you use vegetable broth instead of chicken broth?
Sure!
Bread. Bib. Eat.
🔥
you got it!
The onions will protect the garlic, Luv it.
Yes! it works lol
@@bbqsouthernstyle Great tip, Thanks
Again..nice job on your cooks man...is lard better than wagu...or is it the same
Thank you! I like both but frying in the pan I love lard.
Looks so good,I’m still confused on wagyu,it’s purpose also what type sausage thanks
The oil cooks the sausage, and the sausage is homemade Italian.
We have a garden and we can our own spaghetti sauce. It should work okay if I use my own canned spaghetti sauce in this recipe? It doesn't matter I'm going to try maybe thicken it up with little extra paste
Yes, absolutely
Almost complicated but I got it.
Nice!
When the second pot was atarted for the sauce, what kind of oil or grease was used to start the onions and garlic?
The same oil was used from the cook.
BBQ Italiano!
Delizioso!
I make a version of this, but I call it Sausage and peppers. ☺ Yours looks delicious!
I make that too without the red sauce. Thank you.
Looks delicious ❤
