Honestly, same. I can't sit through most musicals, but this show made me want more. The only ones I didn't care for a ton were Charlie's songs, but even then, they're not horrible and shit.

There's a theory that Lucifer was prohibited from interfering with the extermination of sinners, but when the angels killed a hell beast (Charlie's goat-dragon), it violated the deal allowing him to step in. This is foreshadowed when he sings the line about charging a sacrificial lamb in reference to one of the goats

If you return to episode 4 when Husk and Angel are John Wick fighting after "Loser Baby", you can see Husk's playing cards are edged black. During the final battle with the angels, Husk's cards have a rim of white. He 100% went to Carmilla to make him angelic playing cards. Angel is a tad harder to tell. His tommy guns in episode 4 were more elaborate than the one he uses in episode 8, so its likely that its also an angelic tommy gun tipped in white with white stripes. Even Cherri Bomb's signature bomb is red with a white skull (as opposed to red with green skull in episode 6). So yes, Carmilla made them their signature weapons.

If you look at about 21:00 in episode 4, Angel's gun has neon purple stripes/web and a grey tip compared to episode 8 at about 14:53 where you can see the gun has white stripes/web and a white tip. Though he probably was given angelic bullets as well.

Angels are also pound for pound naturally stronger than a demon, so tho a demon could prolly harm one with a stick, not worth it if perma-death for them is the result. It's also presumed now that angelic weapons completely kill an angel like it does a demon, so they can't heal or respawn I guess.

I remember seeing someone analyze that scene and they mentioned something that was crazy to me (honestly the show vivziepop always wrote some very crazy foreshadowing anyways but still) They said that the first soul that made humans go to hell is a snake, then the first soul that proves the redemption of sinners is also, A SNAKE
I think the idea with Vaggie's injuries is that angels can always hurt other angels (which is why regular items hurt her and Lute in their fight), but nothing a demon does can actually harm an angel unless they're using angelic weapons Which is why Lucifer, as an angel himself, can just straight up punch Adam and have it harm him
I've always assumed that similar to siners, Angels can be harmed by normal Objects just not killed and they can just respawn in heaven like how sinners will respawn. angelic weapons Just put a permanent end to them Along With causing permanent damage.
I think the idea is that they can get hurt but just won’t die. Like when the sinners are always beating on each other but they just “pull themselves together again”.

Really, it's probably because they broke the deal with Hell. "Leave my family alone and no harm will come to you, and I will stay out of it." Adam and Lute fucked up Charlie's pet, and directly attacked Charlie. Seconds later Lucifer shows up, puts Adam in the ground (the leader of Hell's Army) like he is nothing, and shows why he is unmatched within Hell (really, unmatched by any single foe other than God if we're keeping somewhat lore accurate). It was after this attack in Charlie the angel masks starting fucking up also. Had they just left Charlie alone, they would have had an easy W.

Because I don’t think that’s why angel’s can’t get harmed except by holy means, because their deal is that if they don’t mess with Lucifer then he won’t mess with them, and I think he’s able to hurt Adam because he’s still an Angel, just fallen, and in his song he says “others say that in your needy hour blah blah blah, there’s no substitute for pure angelic power” and he uses it or whatever but it shows him using angelic power, ergo he has angelic magic which can harm Adam, but you might be right with Vaggie (if I get what your saying at least lol)
@@TheWorstOtter2912 There is something to be said that it is very likely the case that the rules work differently for Lucifer than it would for others by virtue that Lucifer *should* be theoretically more powerful than anyone other than the big G O single D by biblical standards. He also predates both humanity *and* hell, unlike many angels under Adam's employ. But also, I think it is fair to assume anyone can harm an Angel if they are sufficiently powerful, but it takes angelic (heavenly) power to KILL angels. Being Fallen doesn't seem to do anything to one's power. At least, it doesn't seem to have for Vaggie or the Cherubs in Helluva Boss. Anywho, the show seems to support the idea that angels can certainly be harmed by non-angelic sources. Alastor tangos with Adam, and regular old rubble fucks up Lute just fine. But it is all just speculation until the crew outright tells us. The narrative they were painting seems to support the idea that everything changed when Charlie was attacked.
The reason Lute was being harmed in the fight was cause she killed Charlie's pet. The exorcist's deal was to only harm sinners, she and Adam broke that deal by attacking Charlie since she isn't a sinner. That's why their masks started to glitch out.
Is there any confirmation on that? Or is this simply headcanon? The harming is easy to explain, they can be harmed by conventional means, but only killed by angelic weapons, similarly to how sinners can be "killed" without angelic weapons but then they just regenerate. But I don´t think we actually have an official explanation for their masks and the glitching.
@@Beny763 not confirmed, but it's the most agreed head-canon for now. We don't see angels get harmed by regular means at a single point in the show other than the finale.

I just noticed that the reason Alastor’s voice turned normal was because his staff is a microphone! And Adam broke it. So his voice is no longer being filtered through it.
Actually he controls his radio filter. You can hear it come back in his part of the finale song. There's also moments in the series where he speaks without his filter (example being when he goes "ugh Susan")

Seeing the light die in Danny's eyes when Sir Pentious died 21:19 was the funniest thing. A usual reaction to people who didn't care for him and then get insanely attached to him by the end of the show. I had to watch that 7 times.

As to your question about Carmilla giving everyone angelic weapons, keep in mind they had a month to get ready, Carmilla already mass produces weapons as the biggest arms dealer in hell, and probably has lots of souls at her beck and call as an overlord, and Charlie as Lucifer daughter is incredibly rich.

Adam even referenced the "eye for an eye" line during "Hell is Forever," so Lute coming out losing an arm rather than an eye felt like a missed opportunity

Carmilla’s main thing is angelic guns, and angelic steel infused bullets, but she can make other weapons as well. In the sister show Helluva Boss they directly mention Carmilla and her angelic tipped guns. So Angel having angelic Tommy guns is not odd(plus he’s most likely using angelic bullets as well). And fun fact about the cards, it can be done. In real life there are cards with metal trimming around the edges to make them sharp, and Carmilla melts down the angelic steel to make into weaponry. So theoretically speaking she could make an equivalent to the real life thing, just instead of regular metal use angelic steel. Boom angel killing cards. Also, just to clear your some confusion, when people say harmed by angelic weapons they mean killed by angelic weapons. An angel can still stub their toe and feel pain, or get stabbed several times over by a regular knife. Will it kill them? No. Now add angelic weapons into the mix and you got a dead angel. Angels can be ‘harmed’, as we saw with Vaggie getting her head slammed into the table, but they can only be killed by angelic weapons. They don’t word it the best way in the show at times.
25:25 hell is actually divided into 7 rings, each governed by a deadly sin and with its own colour, hazbin hotel is located in the ring of pride (red) of which lucifer represents the sin (as well as being the king of hell itself), this universe is explored much more in helluva boss so by watching the series you will understand its structure better

If you return to episode 4 when Husk and Angel are John Wick fighting after "Loser Baby", you can see Husk's playing cards are edged black. During the final battle with the angels, Husk's cards have a rim of white. He 100% went to Carmilla to make him angelic playing cards. Angel is a tad harder to tell. His tommy guns in episode 4 were more elaborate than the one he uses in episode 8, so its likely that its also an angelic tommy gun tipped in white with white stripes. Even Cherri Bomb's signature bomb is red with a white skull (as opposed to red with green skull in episode 6). So yes, Carmilla made them their signature weapons.

If you look at about 21:00 in episode 4, Angel's gun has neon purple stripes/web and a grey tip compared to episode 8 at about 14:53 where you can see the gun has white stripes/web and a white tip. Though he probably was given angelic bullets as well.

I think the idea with Vaggie's injuries is that angels can always hurt other angels (which is why regular items hurt her and Lute in their fight), but nothing a demon does can actually harm an angel unless they're using angelic weapons
Which is why Lucifer, as an angel himself, can just straight up punch Adam and have it harm him

I've always assumed that similar to siners, Angels can be harmed by normal Objects just not killed and they can just respawn in heaven like how sinners will respawn. angelic weapons Just put a permanent end to them Along With causing permanent damage.
I think the idea is that they can get hurt but just won’t die. Like when the sinners are always beating on each other but they just “pull themselves together again”.

Adam and Lute fucked up Charlie's pet, and directly attacked Charlie. Seconds later Lucifer shows up, puts Adam in the ground (the leader of Hell's Army) like he is nothing, and shows why he is unmatched within Hell (really, unmatched by any single foe other than God if we're keeping somewhat lore accurate).
It was after this attack in Charlie the angel masks starting fucking up also. Had they just left Charlie alone, they would have had an easy W.

@@TheWorstOtter2912 There is something to be said that it is very likely the case that the rules work differently for Lucifer than it would for others by virtue that Lucifer *should* be theoretically more powerful than anyone other than the big G O single D by biblical standards. He also predates both humanity *and* hell, unlike many angels under Adam's employ.
But also, I think it is fair to assume anyone can harm an Angel if they are sufficiently powerful, but it takes angelic (heavenly) power to KILL angels. Being Fallen doesn't seem to do anything to one's power. At least, it doesn't seem to have for Vaggie or the Cherubs in Helluva Boss.
Anywho, the show seems to support the idea that angels can certainly be harmed by non-angelic sources. Alastor tangos with Adam, and regular old rubble fucks up Lute just fine. But it is all just speculation until the crew outright tells us. The narrative they were painting seems to support the idea that everything changed when Charlie was attacked.

The reason Lute was being harmed in the fight was cause she killed Charlie's pet. The exorcist's deal was to only harm sinners, she and Adam broke that deal by attacking Charlie since she isn't a sinner. That's why their masks started to glitch out.

The harming is easy to explain, they can be harmed by conventional means, but only killed by angelic weapons, similarly to how sinners can be "killed" without angelic weapons but then they just regenerate.

As to your question about Carmilla giving everyone angelic weapons, keep in mind they had a month to get ready, Carmilla already mass produces weapons as the biggest arms dealer in hell, and probably has lots of souls at her beck and call as an overlord, and Charlie as Lucifer daughter is incredibly rich.
That's very fair! I actually never really realised they had an entire month of preparation. It wall happens so fast, it seems like they had a week at best lol
Adam even referenced the "eye for an eye" line during "Hell is Forever," so Lute coming out losing an arm rather than an eye felt like a missed opportunity

@@naomif9964 I agree! The arm was something she ripped off herself, also. Vaggie not taking her eye as revenge is the perfect example of how she's moved on from the angels' ideas of "an eye an eye," so I would've been really disappointed to see her resort to that in the end.

8:18 Musician here. Actually, there was a key change, though very subtle. The song begins in A (minor, I think), and starts the final chorus a 1/2 step up, in Bb / A# (also minor, I believe). Granted, this change is by the smallest increment in western music, but it *is* technically there!

Carmilla’s main thing is angelic guns, and angelic steel infused bullets, but she can make other weapons as well. In the sister show Helluva Boss they directly mention Carmilla and her angelic tipped guns. So Angel having angelic Tommy guns is not odd(plus he’s most likely using angelic bullets as well). And fun fact about the cards, it can be done. In real life there are cards with metal trimming around the edges to make them sharp, and Carmilla melts down the angelic steel to make into weaponry. So theoretically speaking she could make an equivalent to the real life thing, just instead of regular metal use angelic steel. Boom angel killing cards.
Also, just to clear your some confusion, when people say harmed by angelic weapons they mean killed by angelic weapons. An angel can still stub their toe and feel pain, or get stabbed several times over by a regular knife. Will it kill them? No. Now add angelic weapons into the mix and you got a dead angel. Angels can be ‘harmed’, as we saw with Vaggie getting her head slammed into the table, but they can only be killed by angelic weapons. They don’t word it the best way in the show at times.
