Hey Josh, So glad to see you today. I 've been wondering how you're doing. Glad you have such good health news. I have been prayin for you from the start and Our merciful God through His will has seen to heal your current condition. Very glad to see a video and I hope you can keep making them as you are able. God bless the spring and summer for y'all. Take care be safe, Steven
So good to see your videos again! You've been missed. Congratulations on a good kidding season ❤. Thankful to hear you're doing so well. Bless you and your family.. Nice seeing you Joe!
So good to see you with the goats! Wow ... that is great to have so many kids this spring. I don't have goats but I love learn about them. lol They are thinking ... "Where did Mom go!" lol So cute. All the best to you and your family. God Bless.
It looks like you had a great kidding season! They all look sturdy and healthy. I am also happy to hear that you are doing well. You look good and healthy yourself.💖💖💖
I had 7 does bred this year. One miscarried (she's old and wasn't supposed to be bred any way), lost another to Listeria. The remaining 5 dropped 10 kids, 1 set of triplets and 1 single from a first timer. All the kids are healthy and energetic. Their buck was half Kiko and half Savana. Unfortunately (or fortunately) I lost him to Listeria as well. But because I don't have him now, I am keeping all his daughters, that's 7 from this year's kidding and 1 that was born in August. I liked what he brought to my herd. I will be looking for another Kiko/Savana cross buck. I have been going back and forth on whether it's worth feeding creep to the kids. I'm not really happy with the feed available in my area.
Try to build a big barn for the goats to have babies in in the bad weather. That’s what I got for my cattle having babies in when gets really cold doesn’t get really cold here in Oklahoma that much when it does i put them in the barn the ones bout to have babies
I am so glad to catch your video. I have been praying for you. I am glad you are doing well. Praise God. Take care. Your goats look great. Catch you next time.
Good to see you back on here Josh. Definitely been a minute. The herd looks amazing. I learned so much by watching y'all's channel. I won't ever own goats, but I love to watch them, and with yours being a meat goat, I learn the business side of raising Kikos. Most of the channels I watch are pet goats or goats, and people raise for lawn mowers. Oh! And dairy goats. I am so happy you are cancer free and doing good. I keep you and your whole family in my prayers. I had to deal with cancer in my Dad. Unfortunately, he's passed from it, and I miss him so much. Ever since Kevin from Hidden Heights introduced your channel and the fight y'all have been through, I've been praying for y'all. Cancer is ugly, unfair and unkind, and I've lost many friends and family to it. Some are fighting it still today. Keep on keepin' on! I'll keep on watchin and prayin. God bless.🙏🏼❤️😊
Am glad you're doing fine after battling through all those tough days in your life.Hope to visit your farm and looking forward to buy some Kiko bucklings to be transported to the Philipines for my Goat farm.God bless you always and more power. My best regards to your family.God is good.
I'm glad to hear that you are cancer free. The goats look great, too. We have been raising Nigerian Dwarf goats for the past 2 years because we wanted the milk. Last year we bred 2 Does and had 4 Kids. This year we bred 7 Does and had 15 Kids. The last set of twins was born on the 25th. I have thought about the possibility of trying to breed for miniature Kikos. Do these Sale Barns take any type of goat breed?
I’ve read that feeding grain isn’t the way. Pasture grass feed is what one wants to strive or cull em. As for your experience and opinion…is this just select situations as for feeding grain or a necessary practice? Future goat and sheep farmer in Hubbard Tx. Not too far from you. Any answer would be welcome. I wanna learn from ya. Hopefully buy goats from ya. Thank you and Joe
I understand not all farms are the same. We do feed some but want the goats to go graze when forage is available and we get the best hay we can for our goats. Supplemental situations like getting them flushed before breeding, giving them some grain while kids are on them, and we creep feed the kids. In the summer months they only get a small amount if we need to catch them.
Josh, I'm trying to find the video of you and Joe cutting the umbilical cord & giving kids shots. We are kidding now and I want to make sure we are doing what you recommend. Thank you!
I have a question I read that bittersweet vine will kill goats if they eat it ive got woods that are overgrown and I'd like to let my goats in there to clear it but there is lots of bittersweet vine all in trees and shrubs in there I wondered if what I read was true or not your reply would be truly appreciated
As long as they breed. Missing a whole year to me isn’t good and you don’t know if they will breed the following year. We don’t breed our does until they are 18months old.
Thanks for all of the informative videos. I am based in the Northeast of Atlanta. I am having a hard time finding Kiko goats. Any suggestions where to find them. Looking for 5-7 doeling preferably 4-12 months old.
Your welcome Look here nationalkikoregistry.com/breeder-directory You can search by state for Kiko breeders. Are you in Atlanta Tx? If so I have some available and not to far from there.
I just found your channel and subbed. I'm thinking of getting goats and researching them. Question: Do you leave your males in with the females year round? And do the males attack you?
Thank you for subscribing we are happy to have you. We keep our bucks separate until breeding season then we leave them either the does for 3 months. Our bucks are not aggressive & don’t want to be near us.
It is a characteristic trait in Kikos some have it some don’t. It comes from the New Zealand’s that was created the was imported into the US in the 90’s
@@BoisDArcKikos that’s great, I’m just starting out, I have a old wide shed with a concrete slab, it’s the only place I can put them for now. Normally what do humans put down on the concrete? When housing them at night. I can’t find any answers on google. What would you recommend if you were in my shoe.
Glad to hear you're doing so well Josh. Looking good.

I have not had that weed so I’m not sure on that. I know my goats clear lots of vines and love poison ivy.
Does it help to bypass the first heat for a new nanny?

Sometimes when u keep good looking young does doesn’t mean they going to be good mamas that’s in all animals that’s sometimes all like that
Hey my brother, I have a kiko buck with wattles, what does that mean ? Can you please shed some light on it ?

Also I’m trying to tame a skittish goat. I might have to sleep in the pen. !!!
@AnimeDreamingEcchi old wise tale is they produce great milkers if they have waddles
