How to comfort someone in their times of grief:
1. Don't try to relate by saying "I know how you feel.". No, you don't know how they feel. Everyone feels differently towards grief.
2. Make them feel loved. Get them gifts if you can. If you want to help, offer a hug. NEVER say that they're being dramatic. Even if it's somebody you don't know.
3. Spend more time with them. Go for a walk with them. Try to spend more time with them if they want you to. If they don't want to be with you, don't take offence to that; that's a sign of grief, and is completely normal. If they don't want your help, leave them.

My mom's 91. Even though she's stubborn and still insists on doing almost everything for herself, I can see her struggling. I know that she will not be with us much longer. I will miss her so much, but my grief will be for myself and those she left behind because I know without a doubt that where she's going is her reward for doing time here on earth. She will leave behind the frail body that doesn't always respond to her brain. She will no longer be in constant pain. So yes, when she's finally free I will sing hallelujah.

Sometimes when I hear of this song, it reminds me of the people who just wanted to be loved and be understood. It tells me a tale of the people who ended their life for inner peace and they didnt know there was one person who actually cared but didnt made them feel they were. I just hope someday people would just take depression seriously and not make it a trend or an excuse because some are genuinely scared for their lives cause they're really exhausted. Some just swallow every bit of pain and do their very best to hide it cause they fear being called out and it just worsens. It hurts more that no one listens and they blame you for not speaking up. No one would listen because its annoying and yeah.

I just got reminded of my grandmother with this song. She passed away a year ago and it hurt me so much. She was the one who raised me and she meant the world to me. All the tears I’ve been holding back for so long was finally released when I listened to this song.
One of my friends passed away in september the 10th this year from suicide. He was only 19 years old when he left with a future ahead of him, loving parents and many friends. He was the type to always cheer you up when your down and be there for you. He once told me that all girls are princesses and should be treated like one. I really miss him, even before he passed he texted me "You'll always be my best friend, make sure to remember me". At that time I had no idea this would be the last I'll hear from him.
I feel bad that I didn't know he was sad as he was always happy around us. It was only after his death I looked through his account he kept away from us where he would write about his sad emotions and whats really going on in his life. I found out the reason for his death was misstreatment from his teacher who always belittled him and bullied him despite him being absolutely excelled at dancing (his a dance major). His teacher bullied him for his sexuality, for being gay.
We had so many memories and everytime I look back I cant help but cry and wish he was still here.

Missing all my family and friends back in the Philippines. This song is gold.
This is my favorite song from the album. I don’t know why but i fell in love with it the first time I heard it. At that time, my grandma was still with us. And whenever i listened to this song i would pray that “that day” would never happen, at least not for a few years i hoped. But last january 17, my lovely grandma finally went “home” after a month long of struggle with her disease. I sang this at her funeral and that was the most painful moment. I hope my grandma is in a better place now.
