Hey all! Over a year ago, I started my whole PvZ 2 music journey with this series. I'll admit - I'm not a fan of the old songs. They lack personality and were pretty "factory-made" (as in, content over quality) which is a mentality I ditched long ago. Today, I present you a new series: Zombotany: REMADE!
I tried to remake the unused "Zombotany" song from Plants vs. Zombies 1 into something they would blend in seamlessly with the current OST of PvZ 2. Mixing techniques, instruments and nostalgia into one coherent song, I am very glad to say that this may be one of my best songs related to this franchise.

could you also rework the Pirate Seas music, or at least just the beginning of it (the first wave). The original is really underwhelming and I hate it ;-;

We made our way through the ancient pyramids, sailed the seven seas, confronted the most dangerous bandits, won a war with advanced technology, prevented the black plague of the middle ages, surfed the largest waves, survived the coldest ice age, avoided lethal traps from ancient ruins, played in a band on the biggest concert of all time, fought against dinosaurs, and finally came back home with lots of memories from our adventures.
Thank you Voup, for never letting us down and delivering us this masterpiece, it has been one hell of a journey. Farewell.
It's more of killing off the plague than preventing it, since we know a lot of fellas are less fearing for their lives and more groaning brainz
And we also manage to defeat a holiday mayhem from an another universe.
And our battle still continues at the Victorian era and who knows we might have to fight Julius Ceasar or might have to confront an entire circus sue a big corporation
And not only that
We also brought a Lot from the past to our era and there's a lot of chaos all around the place and if we don't stop it the universe might get shattered to pieces

This Zombotany was really good. Its a perfect ending to the main worlds of the game in PVZ2. The nice transitions of the UB mix and the hint of Garden Warfare zombie groans being faintly heard in the background during the end of the song really does pay homage to those games really well. I also like the new parts to add to the fact that this is the final stop and to end it off with a bang, adding an extra 10 seconds to pop off the ending on you're journey. All the worlds pay their part and it felt like a scavenger hunt finding all of the world's sounds during the premiere. Really solid 9/10 track. Can't wait to see how they implement this track in Altvrz.
Interestingly enough, it ends with the long bang from the Far future, which shows that after the end of this time travel, the only thing that awaits us is the future
Was not expecting GW Zombies singing but it goes hard.

one of the many reasons why this is so incredibly good is that it truly feels like how a modern day theme should sound. everything you’ve been through, all the eras you’ve traveled through, all the plant-zombie abominations you’ve defeated, it’s all been leading up to this. this is the modern day. this is your [LAST STAND] against the zombotany. incredible job voup i love it!
Man. Over an entire year of PvZ2 Voup Zombotany. What a journey it's been. Beautiful finale.
Every world and it's instruments coming together beautifully with amazing creative and captivating instrumental switch-ups, transitions and different melodies, with loads of details to pick up on upon repeated listens. Love the sections where it rapidly switches back and forth between instruments/worlds. The snappy NMT drums and scratches, the great banger FF synths, the good ol AE harp, the chilling FC horns and balafon, the fun PS accordion, strings and woodblocks, the grand LC horns, the sweet LC strings and guitar, the nocturnal DA harpischord and flute, the banger BWB guitar and smooth Hammond organ, the melodic NMT Ballad Jam and slick 8-bit passages, the captivating DA kazoo and FC growls and vocals, as always whistling along to WW, the beautiful melancholic JM harmonica, it all comes together so beautifully. From 2:39 onward in particular is such a great harmonic ending, immaculate Finale vibes.
So glad I discovered you and your stuff through Loonboon back in 2021, it's been a real joy. Wishing you all the best for the future and looking forward to whatever might come next.
I love how you could have just chose to put various segments from the 10 previous Zombotanies together, but you chose to make something completely new instead. Amazing work!
After seeing a bunch of zombotany mixes from other creators, I thought “How on earth is he gonna top these!?”
And then you went ahead and exceeded everyone’s expectations tenfold.
This remake of Modern Day Zombotany doesn't refer to the old version's audio, but creates a lot of new things by itself!
The modern day is always unconventional, a unique soundtrack and a powerful instrument. Entirely, this is excellent. I love it!
I don't really I think can add any thing better here so I'm just mention some of the instrument's used:
Synth bass, bassoon, tuba, harmonica, harpsichord, electric organ, synth claps, acoustic piano, bass clarinet, banjo, flute, record sound effect, marimba, oboe, slide Whistle, wooden block tap, xylophone, kazoo, harp, whistling, rain stick, tambourine, acoustic guitar I believe, bottle blowing effect, accordion, brass, electric guitar and it just goes on aaaahhhhhhhh....
Notice the 10 dots above the door? This is Zombotany for the 11th and final world Modern Day

You know, I’m curious to see what your renditions of the PvZ2 UBs would sound with this level of attention. With how great this sounds, I bet you can make way better versions compared to the official versions. Also, the zombie “La la la la la” from the garden warfare series is a nice touch

All the subtle tunes, the beats, instruments, and more, i'm out of words to say.
The new parts added really surprised me.
The end part is godlike, not to mention the zombie chants, wow!

Being honest with ourselves. Pvz2 is better. Pvz1 gets boring and repetitive to one point while pvz2 has much content to be enternained with
There really isn't much for me to say, I really love this one! I especially adore the GW 'chants' from when the gardens are being captured and the homage to the original Zombotany. Really can't wait for what you have to show off in the future Voup!
Jokes aside, I legitimately shed a tear of nostalgia hearing this.
I would not hesitate to say that this is a masterpiece.

Finally. I knew it was MD ZMB! Voup also made this puzzle that was pretty much unsolvable but we knew it was going to indicate to a Modern Day Zombotany anyway due to those 10 holes so that has only hyped me up even more!
i like how you include the old zombotany reference. also this track being seconds longer than other zb tracks maybe is kind of a reference to md being the longest world. other than that, quite a paradoxical track, and cool beans. nice work voup 👍

In 2:12 I know it sounds like the Original Zombotany by Laura Shigihara. But I think another reason why this part was added in the Modern Day variant, because this part sounds like the Zombotany losing theme like it’s telling “You aint winning this one”.

on a historic day
there was a zombie detecting treasures on the beach, a zombie pirate and his group looking for the greatest treasure of their lives and some caveman zombies trying to find the most perfect thing to amuse themselves
Three portals appeared in front of all of them and curiously they went and led them to a peculiar garden where in the middle of the place there was a mysterious box
They dared to look inside and to their surprise... they had the best discovery of their entire lives.
The zombies singing at 2:47 went so well, Voup you mad lad aksjshsjdhd
THIS IS THE DEFINITIVE ZOMBOTANY!!
I love that this is NOT just a mashup of all the other ZBs, this track is its own thing, it uses the other world instruments but in different ways than they were used in previous ZBs (i hope this makes sense) and it has its own original melodys too
Fav parts:
0:02 that sound is beautiful
1:02 - 1:18 the several instrument changes made this part a lot better than I thought it could be
1:27 I just like how the wistle soundsz it reminds me of something but I can't remember what
1:35 If I'm not wrong that's the UB motif, it sounds sick with the disks sounds
2:12 It feels like being in the present helps the music get back those final notes in the melody (pvz 1 zombotany has this at the almost end)
2:55 harmonica being one of the best as always
Im gonna guess that the whistling is reminding you of Modern Day's Choose Your Seeds.

The zombotany is beyound what I expected. The clash between all the instruments of different worlds and how you put the rest of the PvZ1 zombotany, gives a sense of completion. Looking forwards for your future stuff

My Ideas for Modern Day Zombotany Zombies:
-Moon Flower Zombie: Boosts shadow plant zombies in a 3x3 radius around her.
-Nightshade Zombie: Shoots his leaves forward which damage plants when they are close but if shadow boosted, He can shoot his leaves from a far range.
-Noctarine Zombie: When defeated, Explodes leaving damaging fumes in a 3x3 radius which also boosts Shadow Plants and the fumes will go away after some time.
-Shadow Shroom Zombie: Poisons a plant he comes in contact with but gets eliminated when he does that but he cannot poison certain Ail-Mint plants. (Poisoned Plants take damage for 5 seconds)

I remember first finding this channel when I first looked into the unused Zombotany theme, and it was one of the GREATEST THINGS TO EVER HAPPEN
