I used to play the guitar when I was about 10, 11 yrs old, me and this childhood friend Kelly, would go to nursing homes and sing songs like this to them. This was Kelly's favorite song to sing, her voice was beautiful!
I'm 60 yrs old now, Kelly passed away several years ago. For some reason this morning I found myself missing her, missing our childhood years and remembering how she loved this song the most out of all the ones we sang.
Why didn't anyone tell us how fast the years go by? Why didn't anyone tell us too make the most of every day we have because there's no promises tomorrow will come? Why didn't anyone tell us how precious the gift of life is growing up? Why do most of us not realize this until we lose someone near and dear to our hearts? Why didn't anyone prepare us so that we knew how big of a piece of us they take with them when they are gone?
