The best bit of advice you’ve given is to put labels on my products. So I took the plunge and ordered some. Iv used them 6 times. and everything looks so much better. I put them away safe so I don’t lose them in my craft room….. gone 😂.
The consensus is that those new labels are definitely worth it. I might have a pair of corduroy slacks that will never fit me again lol so I might make a bag.
Love these bags Christine, I'm definently going to make some of these after I've finished 2 grandaugthers dresses, a pile of alterations and various other stuff. Getting a bit behind..I might make a sneaky one in-between. Thanks again Christine. 😊
Christine, I think to increase even more sales, how about adding your city and country to your label? Or maybe an additional label (with your city and country) on the side seam sticking out like a loop/strap? They are lovely.
Love the labels, real classy. Great idea using the corduroy, i have a jacket that is now too big😅. I'm planning on cutting it up and using it for the bags. Didnt have a plan of my own yet, so thank you for the tutorial. Love tuning in to your channel, look forward to it. 😊😊
Hi Christine, Love your new labels. I have those faux leather labels as well and they do make ones items look authentic. Love your teaching methods thank you so much. Cute little pouches.
Lovely bags. And I went and ordered labels too. The projects I've added them to came out so nice. Cross body bags and the family really likes them. Great job as always.
Love the fabrics especially the light blue ones. I have some lint rollers from the £1 shop - great for collecting all the fabric fluff and bits off your clothes. I see you are wearing sleeves - the weather is finally cooling down for you! 🌞 Our days are just starting to get a bit warmer, but we had snow forecast the other day - fingers crossed we don't get it! 🌨 Best wishes as always 😁
Thanks for the tip Lesley. I'll go to our local cheap shop. Yes, the weather is cooling down. One more weekend of hot weather coming up, but then it'll be sleeves for a while😁
These are lovely. Do I have to worry that my needle will get sticky from the zipper tape? I love the idea of using the tape for stabilizing the zipper tho. Thanks for this. You’re a great teacher.
Love the video. I also get a lot of upholstery fabrics from local stores. Mostly their sample swatches but once in a while a large piece left over from a project. They call me when they have a pile for me. Question: your new labels are so nice. Can you share your source with us? Also, is there a video about installing a gusset to a bag, tote, etc.? If not, would love to see how you make it easy for us. Thanks for sharing all your expertise. Diane in Salem, Oregon, USA
I've attached the details to my label suppliers in the description below each of my videos Barbara. I also love those samples. They're my favourite thing to sew. I don't think I've done a gusset video yet, but will add it to the list😁
I truly enjoy watching you. You explain everything where it is so easy to follow to make the item. I have a curious question; on your sewing machine, what is the mechanism that is above your presser foot?
Another great video! But a question, in your supply list, you have fusible fleece. At what point do you use this and does the fusible have any problems with the plush fabric?
I fuse the Pelon/Parlan to the wrong side of the outer (fluffy) fabric. I always use a baking sheet or teflon sheet to protect the fabric from the heat of the iron😁
What double sided. Opper tape works best for you? I’ve found on that is so bad it gummed up the needle, the foot, the machine bed. That one left the building.
You can Dave, but you'd be wasting the other side of the zipper tape unless you had a spare slider. You could also cut the fabric in half, and have side seams using a regular zip😀
Susan, the labels are faux leather, and are washable too. There's a link in the description to the label supplier, where they'll have better information😁

haha, I bet if you order some more, you'll find where you've put them. The labels were a game changer for me too😀
Love the new labels. Great job using every last bit of fabric. Thanks for sharing
Thanks Cynthia. I was determined to use up every last piece😁
Boy, not only do we get the instruction for making the bag but the pricing points as well! Super 👏👏👏
Thanks PJ😁
I know those card holders would be a fantastic seller at the SR Centers, they love playing cards.
I think everything you make is great. ♥️♥️👍👍
Thanks so much Jan😀
I love the new labels. I took your advice and I now use labels for almost everything I create. Have a grand day. Kathleen
Have a fabulous day too Kathleen😁

I enjoyed the tutorial, always look forward to seeing the next video. Use your sew technique multiple times.Caldwell, Texas USA
That's wonderful Dianthia. Thank you😁
❤. That magic tape again. 🙂
It's the best!😁
I remembered this technique from your tiny ping pong ball holders and have been using it this past week, even before I saw this!
It's a technique I don't use often enough. I keep forgetting about it Lori😊
Love your bags.
Thank you Kim😁
❤what a wonderful idea thanks
Thanks Sheila😁

Christine, I think to increase even more sales, how about adding your city and country to your label? Or maybe an additional label (with your city and country) on the side seam sticking out like a loop/strap? They are lovely.
Thanks Bessie. The labels I usually use, have my website, store name, and the town we're in. Just forgot to put them on the inside this time😁

I hope so! Thanks Christine😁
😁🪡🪡🪡👝👝👝🙂🥰 lovely , you always have a great teaching love it thanks for sharing
You are so welcome Joy. Thank you😊
Thank you these bags are great. I also ordered similar faux leather labels and found that its easier just to glue them on the fabric with fabric glue.
That's a great idea Catherine. Can you still wash the bags with the labels glued on😁
I haven't thought of that to be honest. I will glue a label on a piece of fabric and wash it and see how it goes@@ChristinesHomeAffairs
I glued a label on a piece of fabric and hand washed it today and the label did not come off but I guess it will all be down to the glue that you use
@catherinamurphy7007 I think you're right Catherine. Thanks for testing it out 😄
Great use of your leftover fabric. I like the idea the added zip pulls.
Thanks so much Kay.😀

Very cute little bags!! I do like your labels too! I’ve been looking for some new labels for myself. Thank you for this tutorial.
You are so welcome Cindy. Thank you😁
I love that fabric and the labels look great ❤
Thanks Valerie😁
I do like your new labels. I’m still trying to decide the type of label & what I should write on them for my branding.
Thanks Kay. The hardes part is figuring out what to have on the labels. 😀
Thank you for another excellent video and love your new labels - go Christine x
You're welcome Elly. Thank you😊

Thanks Christine watched the video today, very helpful thank you😊double sided tape!!got to run to get my order in😅😅
haha, I think everyone else has the same idea Vicki.😀
They are so cute! I love the new labels and the Zipper Pulls look just like mine 😉
Thanks Sue. Why have you not told me about those pulls before? I wend down the rabbit hole of pulls on Alibaba, and ended up with these from Amazon😀
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs I get mine from temu. All sorts of colours and of course black. I put them on everything 😊
@suewalsh4216 I almost went for some colours too, but decided to keep it simple 😀
I love your videos. Thank you.
Thank you so much😁
Love your new labels❤❤❤
Thanks Karin😊
Ooohhhh nice labels! This is a great bag. I hope to find some inexpensive fabric to make a few!
I hope you find some too Christine😁
Also, love your new labels xx
Thanks Pauline😁
Those are very pretty.
Thanks Geraldine😁
You make these look so easy xx
Thanks Pauline. The are easy. Just sometimes fiddly when putting the pulls on😁
I like your new labels.
Thank you Lucille😁
I wish to make a tote using this type of fabric.
It's great fabric to sew with😁
Love both of your bags. Looks like velvet corduroy.
Thanks Patricia. It was lovely fabric😁
These are gorgeous!
Thank you Sandine😀
Good project and easy made. Really like the labels been wanting some but don’t need large amount. Will check them out through your site.
Thank you Dorothy.... You'll be able to order very small quantities from them too😁
THANK YOU!!XXXX
My pleasure Kay😁
These are lovely. Do I have to worry that my needle will get sticky from the zipper tape? I love the idea of using the tape for stabilizing the zipper tho. Thanks for this. You’re a great teacher.
Thanks Peggy. Some double sided tape is horrid to use. I'll be doing a video on some brands today😁
I like your new labels i was given a small amount of chinelle pieces so i will use your idea to make the pouches thanks
Oh, that sounds like a lovely idea Pamela😁
Wonderful
Thank you Robin😁
I like everything you create. What kinds of machines do you have? If you didn’t mind me asking.😊
Thanks Nohemi. I have a Prosew straight stitch at home, and Jack A5E at work😁

Hi Christine, I love all your videos, the explanations are so clear. What is the size of your labels? Thank you
My labels are 20mm x 60mm 😁
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs Thank you so much. Cheers from Switzerland.😀
I truly enjoy watching you. You explain everything where it is so easy to follow to make the item. I have a curious question; on your sewing machine, what is the mechanism that is above your presser foot?
Do you mean the wire thing in front?
It's a finger guard to stop my fingers getting stitched 🤪
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs LOL - I need one of those! 🤣
Great tutorial. Have you found a good double sided tape?
Yes I have Nicole. I'll do the report tomorrow night😁

Thanks Susan😁
Hello Christine,
Debbi here. Did you ever decide which tape you liked best? I have missed several videos and never found out.
Yes! This was my final test project for the tape Debbie. I'll be recording a video today😁
What double sided. Opper tape works best for you? I’ve found on that is so bad it gummed up the needle, the foot, the machine bed. That one left the building.
Some double sided tape is horrid. I've been testing brands for several months, and will report on it today😁
Hi Christine love your new labels, my question for you is does the tape gum up your needle, or bother the machine??😊
Thanks Vicki. I'll be doing a video on double sided tape today, but I used one in this video that didn't gum up my needles😁
Great will love to watch
Please let me know what one u use I have always been uncomfortable with zippers
@@vickisparks5612 I've just finished the video and will try to post it tonight 😀
Can u use a regular zipper?
You can Dave, but you'd be wasting the other side of the zipper tape unless you had a spare slider. You could also cut the fabric in half, and have side seams using a regular zip😀
Are the labels Tyvek?
Susan, the labels are faux leather, and are washable too. There's a link in the description to the label supplier, where they'll have better information😁
I always am disappointed when I turn my project out. When you bring it together which way does the zipper face?
The curved edge of the zip slider usually points to the left of your bag😁
Instead of top stitching could you under stitch the lining?
Yes, some people prefer to do it that way😁
What kind of fur fabric is that?
Valerie, it's a very soft furnishing fabric😁
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs furnishing fabric? Hmm
Upholstery fabric Valerie😀
😃❤👍👍👍
Thanks Arvetta😁
Nothing to do with sewing……You need to wear more of this colour, you look fantastic
Thank you Ruby😁
Looks interesting but I fell asleep watching the intro.
Haha. You write very well for someone sleeping 😄
Thank you for sharing. I can think of several sizes and uses for this pouch. WHICH SEWING MACHINE FOOT ARE YOU USING?
Pat, I'm using a very narrow foot for the zipper. May have been using a teflon or narrow foot in other parts, but should have had my regular foot on😁
