I have so many questions! Hopefully you’ll see this even though I’m a year late. How do you practice the dives when getting it wrong could seriously hurt you? Why do they yell CHOP after you jump? How do you have time to do all those twists and how do you hold a pike as you’re falling so fast? I wouldn’t even be able to stand on the platform
So I may not be a cliff diver but i know a couple so here are some answers:
They practice diving by jumping into bubbles (made by a bubble machine) so they don’t get hurt
The yell (it’s actually tuck!) to tell them when to pull out of their flip
They just have to do them very fast and make sure they jump the right night.
You just have to be very strong

It's a niche sport right now. Not many people can dive from twice the regular height.
