Congratulations!! My #1 advice (got married July 2017) is to enjoy being engaged + enjoy planning- book the big vendors and then relax, take a few weeks to not plan and just soak up the cuteness of being engaged- it's the most romantic, exciting time and the JOY that people will have for you both is the most wonderful feeling, you deserve to soak it up. Best advice I received was to wedding plan for an hour in a day and then put it all aside bc you can end up on pinterest/wedding blogs until 3am and you need your beauty sleep! Congrats again, you guys are adorable!!
Cried through most of this. So happy for you! I remember how different being engaged felt compared to “dating” as well. Just wait til you’re a wife, haha! Congrats to you both as well as your families.
Awwww congrats Lucie!!! So happy for you and Michael! My husband and I got married one day before our 8 year anniversary - there is something really special about marrying someone that you pretty much grew up with :).
This is adorable. I can't believe I'm so happy for two strangers but Lucie your connection with your audience makes us care so much about you and so excited to see you so joyful! The best wedding planning advice I got when I was planning mine last year was to pick the top three things you care most about, and make those perfect. (For us it was the dress, the church, and having all our family and friends included.) That way when other things don't go quite right it's a lot easier to keep things in perspective because your most important things are already taken care of.

First of all.. what a wonderful engagement story! So so sweet. Love that your family was there like you'd wanted. Words of wisdom from engaged Toronto high school sweethearts (we're getting married on our 12 year dating anniversary!)... plan your wedding at a restaurant or something where they already have tables, chairs, dishes, glassware, etc. We're getting married at a brewery this summer, and while it's gonna be hella cool and unique, we didn't anticipate the extra costs of all the rentals that we have to bring in ourselves. Also all the little decisions that come with that. Overwhelming! So if I were to do it again, I'd go with a restaurant or even hotel or something that already is decked out for weddings and big events.

Congratulations! I literally just got married this weekend, so I have a few tips for wedding planning for you, Lucie! Just remember to have fun and don't get too caught up with the details. Honestly, no one will remember the cake you had or the decor you had. They'll remember how you made them feel, and you will only remember how you feel. And if things go wrong, don't stress too much because in a few months from now, you'll look back and have the fondest memories of everything that went right and wrong. Congrats again!! ❤️❤️

I cried so many times watching this. It took me back to my own experience being engaged and we share so many of the the things that were important to me: family, our parents being involved and having a personal experience that makes sense to us as a couple. I happened to stumble onto your UA-cam channel -I love it! And Lucie, the tears -the tears are emotions overflowing. Humans that allow themselves to feel everything -can’t keep it in. The best advice I can give you is to not stress out over the little details. The little things you worried about, will not even be noticed by your guests. Things didn’t go as planned during mine and I wish I could have enjoyed it more.

Congratulations! Such a fun and exciting time. I just got married in December and my advice is to savor every second! Even when it feels overwhelming it's all part of your future together and the planning and actually wedding happen in a blink of an eye! We did a first look before the wedding and I couldn't be more glad that we did! It was a really special few, quiet moments together before the ceremony. Enjoy every moment, it's such a wonderful stage of life 💕

Make sure you make time for yourselves. Wedding planning and the big day is incredibly hectic. You are celebrating your love so when it gets crazy make time for yourselves. When we got married we split it over the weekend so it wasnt a worlwind and we could savour every moment and not get stressed.
