In High school , (early "70"s) We would carry Led Zeppelin albums with us when we go out and party Fri, Sat nite , so We always made sure no party went WITHOUT listening to Zeppelin!!
they are the best band ever, simple as that. all 4 members were top 3 EVER at what they did, there were no weak links at all in the band and the chemistry they had together was unrivalled, this is their 1st album!!! they EXPLOLDED out of the gate and just kept going!
Zeppelin were together from mid 1968-1980, when the drummer died and the band died along with him. They were the kings of blues rock and hard rock 1969- to at least 1975. As a famous interviewer once said “If you were to look up the phrase “sex, drugs and rock and roll, there would be a picture of Led Zeppelin there”. These four guys were the zenith of the virile, alluring “rock god” mystique that many tried to copy. None did it with quite the swagger of Zeppelin. They paid a huge price for their success….but man oh man, they were a force in hard 70’s rock.

Zeppelin and Floyd are my two favorite bands! Time to do a live reaction to Zeppelin so you can experience the whole vibe. Incredible live band. If you don’t mind hearing a song live the first time, then watch either Whole Lotta Love or Black Dog from MSG 1973. This is an iconic concert as you might have guessed. Always a pleasure to see someone else near my age or younger discovering these magical pieces of art. I heard some of this music through my father as he'd been a fan of these groups when he was a teenager. Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Who, (Emerson, Lake, and Palmer), and Yes. It was through these that I found music I love and could share with my father, like my favorite underappreciated prog-rock band, Camel. It's not just the complexity of the music, the unique time signatures; there's a soul to this music. You know there's just something to it when it touches you in a way that only a sunrise had before. Subbed and looking forward to more. Hopefully you'll come around to Camel eventually as I really love their music despite not reaching the same commercial success as Yes or King Crimson. I recommend "Song Within A Song" as a first introduction to the music of Camel.
I started high school in 1969. Led Zeppelin dominated those 4 years during a period of time when great bands and music were exploding everywhere everyday! They are in another stratosphere!
Every house needs the floyd and zep discographies. Along with the Beatles they are the goats of rock. Whatever you do in life hector make sure you do find the time to listen to their albums. As both bands were more album centric rather than hit producers.
🤟🤟🤟 Fantastic reaction man. John Henry Bonham my hero. In my teens when I started listening to Zep. Yeah I can remember that far back 😁 Let's have some more.
Ah those hazy days of getting out of it and blasting Zeppelin out of the stereo. Their debut is one of my favourite albums and although there maybe better songs on others, the first had the foundations for what was to come. Check out 'I can't quit you baby' you don't have to make a video but just to listen to. It's so good and one of the clearest indicators of that blues influence. Funny my head always goes straight into 'how many more times' when this song ends, trippy dude.
LZ1 is soooo damn good. Between my Dad and his record player and, later on, 90’s classic rock radio, I got totally burned out on Zep. Didn’t listen for a good 20 years. Got back on a few years ago because of watching music reactors and appreciate Zep on a whole new level. I had taken them for granted because they were ubiquitous in my first 30 years on the planet.
As soon as you said "Don't hurt me" @2:43 I thought "Dude, with this song, they might just kill you." Every time I listen to this song I feel like I just got my sorry arse kicked something bad.

Four people in a room together. Guitar, bass, drums and voice, totally locked in to each other. No computers or digital trickery. Just masters at the top of their game. When The Levee Breaks next please mate 😁
Was 19 when this album came out. "I'll be damned if I'll miss another track like that"....well hang on brother, there are a ton more of them from this band .
growing up listening to what is now "classic rock", i could never have imagined there would be a day when i would be watching people 40 years younger than me discovering it for the first time. it's a very weird (in a good way) phenomenon seeing all these reactions from you and so many others. it also gives me hope that this music has found a new audience who will carry it on to the next generation long after i'm gone.
I believe you would really enjoy their song "When the Levee Breaks" I'm glad you got to experience Dazed and Confused. They have live versions that are more than 20 minutes long. The song is from their first album. Hearing this music in the 80s blew away anything anyone was doing at the time but the music scene had changed. Seeing these guys come out in 69 must have felt like they were from another planet. 4 phenomenal artists that clicked so well.
Led Zeppelin were predominantly a blues band, at least that's where their roots were, although they took their music to other places. So tick this one as another part of your 'Blues' assimilation. Try also some Fleetwood Mac; not the famous 'Rumours' stuff of the 80s & 90s, but right back to the beginning in the mid 60s with Peter Green. Try 'The Green Manalishi [ with the two pronged crown ]', or Madge #1 from 'The Vaudeville Years 1968-70'.
The lead singer of Led Zeppelin is Robert Plant. Led Zeppelin's first album release was in January of 1969, when Plant was 20; the band dissolved in December of 1980, releasing Robert Plant to a solo career. You would do well to follow his musical arc. -"Addicted to Love" 1986 -"Gone Gone Gone (Done Moved On)" 2007 The last thing Robert Plant recorded was a concert in June of 2022.
Loving your reactions, man. That epic track was from Zeppelin's debut album which was recorded in September 1968. From that same album, check out "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" and "How Many More Times". Zeppelin are the greatest.
How you went from David Gilmour to Jimmy Page and survived is beyond me. Two of the greatest guitarists to ever live. Oh and welcome to John "Bonzo" Bonham on drums. You ain't heard nothing yet.
Great stuff as always, thank for you sharing.. If you love the drums on this... You will explode to the ones in When The Leave Breaks.....stay awesome.. much love
I had their second album when I was 14, 60 years ago. My dad wouldn't let me play it though because "it was the devil's music". That;s how wildly innovative and new their sound was. It was really shocking for the late 60's. My favorites are LEMON SONG, WHEN THE LEVEE BREAKS, BLACK DOG and ROCK AND ROLL. Now that you're in the rabbit hole, enjoy the trip.
Really enjoying your Led Zeppelin reactions. Very real and visceral. No band before or after them could touch their magic, that's for sure. Dazed and Confused is from their debut album (recorded in 1968, dropped in early 1969). The guys were pretty young and clearly incredibly gifted. Jimmy Page - guitarist, band founder, genius producer - age 24 Robert Plant - vocals/harmonica - had just turned 20 John Paul Jones - bass/keys/multi instrumentalist - age 22 John Bonham - drums - age 20 I was thinking about which songs I would recommend you give a listen but the list would be an extremely long one. If you're interested in doing a deep dive into Zeppelin's music, maybe just start at the beginning with album 1 and keep on going? I think you'd be hard put to find a Zeppelin song you won't like, you'd learn just how creative and versatile they were, and you'd have a chance to hear their progression/evolution through their 12 years together as a band. Edit: Just an idea. Thanks.
And they were really young when they played this, Robert Plant the Singer was 20. Also, there were only four people in the band making all those sounds. No one was using some computer pre-recorded stuff in mixing it in. They were playing it in real time.
You're my new favorite person. Hip hop used to be awesome; I'm from it's birthplace, the Bronx. Led Zeppelin ruled the 70's. Most brilliant band EVER. THE GOATS. Every member, talented beyond belief. Most complicated time signatures. A lesser band would devolve into chaos. Dig in.
Looove your enthusiasm. I was lucky. I grew up with these guys being the backdrop soundtrack during my high school years. You have literally no idea the greatness of that.
From their first album. Robert Plant (singer) was about 19 or 20 when this came out. Jimmy Page, formerly of The Yardbirds, on guitar. John (Bonzo) Bonham on drums. John Paul Jones on keys/synths, bass and other instruments. There is a killer live version from Madison Square Garden, 1973 you should check out. btw, many hip hop artists have "sampled" LZ's riffs. Keep up the good work, Mark!
You’re a kick, Hector. Yeah, Robert Plant, the vocalist , was sex on a stick when he was young. Considered one of the greatest frontmen in Rock history….confidence, charisma, swagger up the yin-yang. And a voice…at least for the first 4 years of the band that was unmatched. He did some damage to his vocal chords in ‘72 or so, but was still a great singer and has had a solo career from 1982 until today. Still tours lives in the West Midlands where he was born

When these were recorded, generally it was onto 4 or at most 8 track tapes, overdubbed using multiple recorders, edited by chopping tape & sticking together with sellotape, then mechanically cutting the groove into a wax disc, to press out vinyl discs down the road. Whatever they put onto disc had to matter, & deserve its place. Today, there are 64 & 128 track, digital desks that can cut, edit, correct and overdub at the touch of a button.
Led Zeppelin's roots are in Rhythm and Blues as many of their most iconic songs show. They were part of the Birmingham Rock Explosion started by Black Sabbath, so many great bands came out of the Black Country.
Their 1st album that came out in 69, I played all day long everyday, I've always thought that it is the greatest album ever, and at 70 you are reminding me of that, my other greatest ever is Pink Floyd ❤️
Hi from Texas! 64f here loving your reactions to my favorite music! This is not their most pornographic song, believe it or not. For that, try The Lemon Song. You just can’t go wrong with Zeppelin or Floyd. Oh, and back in the day Robert Plant was quite the panty dropper indeed. ❤
when i was in my late teens, early 20's Cover bands played these songs at local clubs every weekend. Not as well but still Zep songs. Grew up on this music. Also went to Zep concerts whenever they were in this country.
When I saw the title of this one, I knew you were gonna have a few "feelings" about Robert Plant's vocals! It's inevitable - much shagging was instigated by that voice!
Your reaction was nuts, love Jimmis guitar fundament and build and caprioles while Plants voice for me, often too much, too over, here is arranged so nice well dosed 😊
It’s like watching his hymen being busted every damned day when i watch this dude! I havent enjoyed any reactions like I do Hector’s. Greetings from Detroit, loving you here.
Saw them at the pavilion in Queens NY, 1969. I was 17. Didn't even know of them . I got right up front somehow and stood there in awe, sticks with me to this day.
LOVE how you immerse your whole being body and soul. 76 yr OLD F here. You take me back to how LZ songs made me feel. Can't follow anyone else they're all so FUCKING UPTIGHT
Ok,...so normally it takes quite a few videos for me to subscribe,...but you got me after 2...truthfully, really this one is what did it. Your enthusiasm, energy, & sincere love for the music had me hooked on the spot. It was like I was listening for the first time again! Can't wait for future Zeppelin videos. What a ride that will be!!
There are much longer versions available, including live versions. Try the readily available version on the album " The Song remains the same " Just a mere half hour long ..... It was one of the ones they used to use for extended, improvised jams. You also get Jimmy Page playing a Les Paul guitar with a violin bow, & a panning/flanging box, and Bonzo at full chat. But, never forget John Paul Jones underneath on the bass, keeping the foundations solid. They were 4 musicians, & never brought on extra players to the stage.
No you aren't going to die... I promise you.... Can you imagine how amazing it was for us that every week we had yet another album of music of the quality of Led Zep and Pink Floyd.... Not in the same leaque as then of course but equally as fertile.... Believe me we were so lucky.
Knew your reaction wouldn’t let us down bro 😂John bonham (drummer) widely thought of as the greatest or at least top two by most pro drummers.. absolute legend.. looking forward to so many more of these 🙌
Your reactions are absolutely awesome, uplifting and entertaining. Found you from a Tom Macdonald reaction and now I'm reliving my rock n roll days with this Zeppelin and Floyd reactions.. Two Zeppelin recommendations would be 'In the Light' and maybe 'Moby Dick' live with Video of Bonham on the drums!!! 🔥
I expected you to light up a cigarette after that reaction. I love to see people rediscovering and really getting the muic from this era. I hope you're open to branching out from Pink Floys and Led Zeppelin -- they are the best, but there's a lot out there that's pretty damn good, too.
Robert Plant was the main lyricist of the band after the first two albums. He wrote the lyrics to Stairway. HE was the Tolkien freak. Also Welsh, English history and lore…also Norse mythology. A smart dude and well-read (as was Page) in addition to his physical attributes…which were …… widely appreciated 😁
Real music. Real Drummer, real Guitarist, Real Bassist, Real Singer. No auto tune, no pitch correction. Real.

You would do well to follow his musical arc.
-"Addicted to Love" 1986
-"Gone Gone Gone (Done Moved On)" 2007
The last thing Robert Plant recorded was a concert in June of 2022.
Brain Squeeze, those are your fellow countrymen from the late 1960s. Enjoyed your visceral reaction. Subscribed.
Thank you!!! Fantastic reaction! Robert Plant lead singer, Jimmy Page lead guitar, John Paul Jones bass, John Bonham (rip) drums.
One of my all time favorites. Now listen to the Lemon Song!!
Really enjoying your Led Zeppelin reactions. Very real and visceral. No band before or after them could touch their magic, that's for sure. Dazed and Confused is from their debut album (recorded in 1968, dropped in early 1969). The guys were pretty young and clearly incredibly gifted.
Jimmy Page - guitarist, band founder, genius producer - age 24
Robert Plant - vocals/harmonica - had just turned 20
John Paul Jones - bass/keys/multi instrumentalist - age 22
John Bonham - drums - age 20
I was thinking about which songs I would recommend you give a listen but the list would be an extremely long one. Thanks.
Got 2 Led Zep coming on the weekend and wow.....just wow!
@@brainsqueezereactions Thanks, looking forward to them! Have subbed so I don't miss a thing. :)
This is by far my favorite reaction from you by far! I love how blown away you were literally over and over and over again!!!! 🤘🏻
And they were really young when they played this, Robert Plant the Singer was 20. Also, there were only four people in the band making all those sounds. No one was using some computer pre-recorded stuff in mixing it in. They were playing it in real time.
Zeppelin, Sabbath, Stones, Floyd, all you'll need.
You make these songs fun again thanks for your reactions there greatly needed
From their first album. Robert Plant (singer) was about 19 or 20 when this came out. Jimmy Page, formerly of The Yardbirds, on guitar. John (Bonzo) Bonham on drums. John Paul Jones on keys/synths, bass and other instruments. There is a killer live version from Madison Square Garden, 1973 you should check out. btw, many hip hop artists have "sampled" LZ's riffs. Keep up the good work, Mark!
Yes yes yes!!
Yes Yes Yes, close to the Edge.
Desde pequeño la escuche y quede sin palabras. Zeppelin... .grande!!!!!!!!!
I sometimes take it for granted that I grew up with the greatest music ever created. Let's keep this train a-rollin'
Along with 180,000 other Led Heads I saw Zeppelin at Knebworth 1979
Just awesome!
Fantastic concert!
Please make sure you check out “Since I’ve Been Loving You” live at Madison Square Garden. It’s an EPIC performance and I don’t use that word lightly.
Have said it before...welcome to the mighty zep rabbit hole. No stopping now bro. Hands down, most amazing rock band ever.
boy are u fucking in for it -ive been with classic rock from the start of the beatles and had every beatles and led z album as they came out THE WHOLE FUCKING JOURNEY saw led twice.....this as far as i know is the best of my life and i was a wild get in trouble at school woulnt shut up hyper active kid and adult really i sinned beautifully and fully in the golden era my friend IT KILLS me to see young smart unique talented ones like you discover this i actually can get emotional because it means so much to me THANK YOU i have lived (and it aint fucking over ) a great life and seen music all around the world Asia Africa Europe Caribbean islands etc.. had many adventures including teaching at the college level and running fine dining restaurants got awards for journalism BUT what you are discovering is my greatest adventure the most rewarding
Comments like these are the exact reason I take the time to read and enjoy. Thank you for this and also the love 🙌🙌🙌⏪️🧠 Happy to be on this re-lived journey with you again!!!!
Today, there are 64 & 128 track, digital desks that can cut, edit, correct and overdub at the touch of a button.
that is a great start to LZ...Like Pink Floyd, every song has it's own greatness.Enjoy!! Cheers
Soundtrack of my youth...love your reactions...same as mine when i fisrt heard them in 1969
Love ur reactions to music. Led Zeppelin have always been my fave group along with pink floyd. Enjoy the music.uve gone down the rabbit hole.
Led Zeppelin's roots are in Rhythm and Blues as many of their most iconic songs show.
They were part of the Birmingham Rock Explosion started by Black Sabbath, so many great bands came out of the Black Country.
Its great to watch how raw you feel the music !Great watch !
Another band with epic drummer, try out 'the who', especially 'won't get fooled again' and for their epic bass player 'the real me'
Their 1st album that came out in 69, I played all day long everyday, I've always thought that it is the greatest album ever, and at 70 you are reminding me of that, my other greatest ever is Pink Floyd ❤️
Texas, here also. 71. A reaction to Stevie Ray is warranted.
when i was in my late teens, early 20's Cover bands played these songs at local clubs every weekend. Not as well but still Zep songs. Grew up on this music. Also went to Zep concerts whenever they were in this country.
When I saw the title of this one, I knew you were gonna have a few "feelings" about Robert Plant's vocals! It's inevitable - much shagging was instigated by that voice!
Hahaha! "Much Shagging" is the greatest explination of this track ever!!!!
@@brainsqueezereactions every song...I swear!! Greatest band to grace the planet! In nearly 63 and have loved them since I first heard them in 1969!
@@brainsqueezereactions Wait until you hear the “Lemon Song” by Led Zep 😂 Ahh, to be young again and hearing LZ & PF for the first time!🔥🎶🔥
@@brainsqueezereactions yeah…. And Much of the shagging was enjoyed by Mr Plant! 🙄😏 and Mr Page
@@brainsqueezereactions Wear a condom when you react to Whole Lotta Love!!! ua-cam.com/video/HQmmM_qwG4k/v-deo.html
Your reaction was nuts, love Jimmis guitar fundament and build and caprioles while Plants voice for me, often too much, too over, here is arranged so nice well dosed 😊
Please do “Since I’ve been loving you” by them.
It’s absolutely mind blowing.
I knew you'd love this.Your approach to LZ should be album 1 and then 2. Albums afterward are less blues influenced and get more celtic.
But he loved Stairway, so being more Celtic is not a drawback for Hector , I don’t think
Hector is a lover of all music, all the time...anytime!
Love,Love,Love the reaction !!! I think you’ve been Zepplinized !! Lol
Welcome to the Machine !! PinkFloyd
It’s like watching his hymen being busted every damned day when i watch this dude! I havent enjoyed any reactions like I do Hector’s. Greetings from Detroit, loving you here.
Thank you so much 😊😊😊😊😊
As you’ll see , most of the fans are also Pink Floyd fans too!! You will adore “ When the Levee Breaks”… You’re Welcome!!😉
They brought in the darkness from--- Dark Side Of The Moon---Pink Floyd.. MY favorite Hector!!
Sweet! And love that you enjoyed the reaction as much as the song when it first came out!
Thank you Trudy! Im excited too!!!!!! More Led this weekend 😊😊😊😊
Half hour!!!! Of this masterpiece!!! Chas....do you want me to die ..... lol 🤯🤯🤯🙌
Zep has over 100 songs. If you put them all in a hat and drew out 50 to react to, you'd love all of them!
People with large feet have large pairs of socks, right.
