Many thanks for this helpful video. I was all set to upgrade the existing 256GB sata drive with a larger sata drive, but thanks to this I've installed a larger nvme drive from Samsung (980).
If it wasn't for this video I wouldn't of known they (nvme) work in the ux330ua.

Ty this is very informative. Would an NVME PCIE 4.0 work here? Or should i stick with PCIE 3.0?

Should work just fine. I never even check what type. Rarely will there be any compatibility issues.

Thanks for posting this disassembly video. Am thinking to swap the NVME drive for a blank one; or partition the existing NVME to locally install Linux and keeping Windows on the other partition. Hopefully Linux would be able to install driver for most of the components.

BTW the Zenbook UX305F laptop is unable to run any PC games including the very old ones like Heroes of Might and Magic 3. Any idea on why the graphic card is unable to handle old games?

It's more the old games aren't designed to run on the new OS and hardware.

This is a shot in the dark but I've been trying for ages. Is it possible for you to tell me what network adapter your UX330U has? My wifi completely disappeared and Asus gave me the drivers but they refuse to install. I'm attempting the ol' "add legacy driver" method (which has worked for me in the past) but I am not sure which one to download.

Go to the device manager and find the device, go to properties and look at the hardware tab

Ahhh I was hopin you could give me the name from the one in this video, there are no network adapters (even when showing hidden drivers) in the device manager. Ill keep trying, thank you!
