- The Castle District is one of the districts of Budapest's 1st district, called the Castle. Since 1987, the UNESCO World Heritage List has been named Buda Castle Quarter. On the territory of a number of medieval origin, the monuments and the 17-18th century houses and public buildings are located. The three main parts of the Buda Castle District are the Budavári Palace, St. George's Square and the historic residential area.
