Tv before cable was a golden period . We have enjoyed so many shows of Lahore tv by rotating antena . I remember we asked our father about timing and days of shows becoz he was the only one who could read urdu. So many memoeies 😊

I am not a 90's kid but of 2000, surely childhood memories related to tv (Doordarshan) are so awesome man 🥺 jungle safari..that cartoons only on Saturday afternoon ,one movie in 2days ,half movie each day(Fri and Saturday), golden time 😍❤️
I always try to explain my siblings n all that how we used to play outdoor games etc how we used to enjoy our childhood days and the most important thing that we used to get good punishment from parent's because we used to spend more time playing outdoor nd coming home getting dirty but 20s generation parents are worried that their children don't like to go out n play nd busy with cell phone etc
I can say that 90s is the last generation who enjoyed childhood life fully
90s & Early 2000 was best Period of my Life & hope Same for every 90s child

The days when Ramayan was telecast our hall used to be full, and We four kids were not able to see that show. Now when in COVID crisis the show was again telecast and I saw it with no problem. Adjusted TV antenna many times on terrace as I was the only boy as I had three elder sisters. It was very funny, I used to shout from above and my younger sister among the sisters she is to stand out of our building, we used to stay at ground floor and my 2nd number sister in front of TV. So this was our connectivity, till we were able to see TV properly. Thanks fo.r recoiling my memory and took me back in the year of 1987.Thanks a lot

Before 2017; Doordarshan was dish- free channel. As it was free satellite channel, it just needed antena which needed to be adjusted time to time (for loose contact problem).
Much later after doordarshan, cable tv came and then, lastly dish antena.
now due to digitization policy of government, no channel can be viewed without set top box. But thankfully, there are free subscription set top box, for those who are mot able to afford dish packages.
I was the tv intina rotator.. Saying ayai kiya and response never wanted to listen nahi.. Phir kisi ke pass TV hote toh humlog sab daar daar ke dekh the the bale malik ke beta beti aap ko gussa kar rahe hai ya maar rahe hai per bardaasht karke bet the the. Abhi sab officers aur sab kush hai.. Mein arunachal pradesh india se hai

we didn't have too many options back then, but that only meant that in terms of quality, we'd get decent stuff on TV. And the best part? Doordarshan knew more than a thing or two about genres. Kids who were born after cable television became mainstream might not believe this, but DD even had sci-fi serials in the early '90s.Believe it or not, there's a world beyond 'saas-bahu dynamics'.
