- Can you believe people have been lining up outside a Brooklyn bakery to pay $50 for a box of cereal? L'Appartement 4F sells a breakfast treat made up of tiny croissants. Each one is hand-rolled to flaky perfection and with a count of 200, it takes four days to make one box! This cereal is the brainchild of Ashley and Gautier Coiffard, who own the eatery. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.

I make small handmade pipes from Japanese maple and I don’t use any power tools. I sell each one for 25 dollars a to 40 depending on size. This cereal in my opinion isn’t art, or fancy, it’s simply a waste of time 😂

I’d imagine he has help though. If he’s hand making all of that and it takes 4 days to make one box, and the box is $50, and he has a line around the block, he’d never be able to catch up with demand.
Forget Cereal! Eat some oatmeal! The reason why I believe some people don't like oatmeal is that some make it too thick and have a higher oat-to-water ratio. Once you get the ratio correct and it's properly cooked add some canned evaporated milk, sugar, butter, and cinnamon and you have an amazing breakfast. Also, quaker oats do not pay me.

You could set up a machine to do most of the work, like cutting and rolling. All they would have to do is put it in the oven, take it out and package it.

They don’t make 1 box at a time. It’s like saying a pizza takes 1 day to make. 1 hour to mix the ingredients, a few hours to let the dough rise, then more hours to mix the dough again, then more time to portion it out etc. You’re not following these steps for every single individual pizza. You’re making it in larger batches. The same applies here
If it truly takes 4 days to make 1 box it would be way more than $50. Would try it nonetheless.
