Nice vid Dan, puts me in mind of a place as kids in the east end of London we used to fish ,we called it the willows it belonged to British railways and no one ever fished it , we used to have to climb fences to get onto the railway then walk along the track to willows , little crucians mainly ,great memories of 60+ years ago , I was 5 when my brother used to take me along the river Lea , by the time I was 7 I was using a centerpin and a cane rod ,a bamboo roach pole , catching roach , I’m a couple of years off 70 and still fish for roach all the time , I have fabulous memories of being taught all manner of methods to catch roach , bread ,hemp & tare ,silk weed etc etc , I’ve been a lucky bloke from an early age when it comes to fishing … Lovely net of roach you had in todays blog Dan , thanks mate 👍🏻
As a seven year old my brother 10 years my senior took me to a local water a small lake on a farm my first fish as with a lot of people was a small perch, quickly followed by small roach and rudd, it was pure magic. Here I am 76 years old now still fishing at least twice a week the magic never goes, the float goes under, what is it you never know. Tight lines Danny I've commented before love whip fishing.
All my mates got me into fishing and me them: started all together buying a weekly fishing magazine - on the Witham in Lincoln at Stamp end lock - great video Danny - all the best👍🙏
My friend got me into fishing when I was 10 years old, I'm now in my 40s n go in rain snow frosts what ever the weather absolutely love it uk carp 40lb 9oz, cat 31lb n working on the pike at the minute, great video mate really enjoyed it
My uncle Ian , was lucky enough to fish with St Helens and with some of the greats . Did match fishing for a few years . Can remember Tanhouse lane stretch of the Sankey st Helens throwing 60lb bags and massive crucians . Cronton colliery has some brilliant pools too . Lots of secret ponds in the north 👍
I must stop forgetting what day we are on . Sorry mate. My dad got me into fishing . I used to go on a stretch of canal that was packed with Crucians . Lovely memories . I miss the old bugger.
From about the age of 5 my Dad took me fishing, mostly on the Severn, Avon or Tame. I caught my first fish when I was 6, a gudgeon. I wanted to keep it, the old man couldn't get it through to me it would die if I didn't put it back in the water so he took it out my hand & dropped it back in. I cried. Every gudgeon since brings that memory. Happy days. Great stuff Danny, love them roach 👏

Lovely little session there Danny. I started fishing at 14 with some friends, down the local rivers after Trout then on to lakes for course fish.👍🏻
Amazing video once again 😊
