Legally I believe it is. Although an Australian promod made a 5.42 1/4 mile pass at the PDRA finals a couple years back that wasn't during a competition run.
@@jvracingvids6529 That 5.42 at VMP was a Pro Extreme Car not legal for the class in this video. Turbo car went 5.37 in South Georgia a year or 2 before that 5.42 with a Pro Extreme quickest doorslammer pass to date. Those Extreme cars are restricted to 1/8 for the most part you rarely seem them run full 1/4.
I love blower cars as you, but the turbo cars are just starting to get wound up and just as musi said, the turbo cars need to be in a class of there own or weight restrictions need to be applied. NOS and blower cars are on the same page but the hair dryers can make more horsepower if the turner knows what he's doing.
@@brian5606 well ya. In OPM and RVW the turbo cars weight 300-600lbs more than their nitro and blown counterparts if they want to race in tournaments when they are unsure of who will win.
Love your videos, but you need to start filming from the finish line. Starting line footage is ok but you don't get the full sensation of speed. Especially on quarter mile racing
I can't think of anything more Maryland than pro mods going down a quarter mile track.
So proud to be born and raised here.
Damn 5.8 @ 206MPH shit that car was hauling ass
that 330 angle go hard
Some drone footage at the end of the track would be cool.
Love pro mods. Wish the guy had more than one camera, tho.
That's gotta be a new record !

@Matthew Vincent yeah that's 1/8th mile, this is a 1/4 I'm talking about and it was an exhibition run. 2 different records.

Kevin McCurdy is a badass driver
if i win the lottery my 1/4 mile race car is a Hemi Blower car. 1/2 mile is a 3500hp Huracan.
