According to religious belief and mythology, it is said that many years ago there was a demon named Dushan in Ujjain who used to torture the subjects and the king there. Troubled by him, people worshiped Mahadev and pleaded for their protection. is called That by accepting his worship, Mahadev himself killed that demon. After this, he adorned himself with the ashes of the demon and then settled there. Since then this place has been named Mahakaleshwar. Bhasma Aarti started.
Lord Shiva is decorated with the pyre burning in the crematorium as ashes in the Aarti. However, apart from this, cow dung, peepal, Palash, Shami, and ber wood are also burnt together.
