- I'm super stoked about my new Twinzer, but the conditions today!? Heavy claims of 20 degrees & sub zero surf. Home for Christmas & the dream is coming up. Looks like my WRV ( wave riding vehicle ) twin fin of the mid 80s . Thinking back I am amazed I rode this board at 6 foot one and 190 pounds on a 5/6 board but it took allot of effort . Fortunate for me I was young at the time . It died in a fantastical wipeout that broke the board in half and I went on to larger boards
When I see your gear (boards, wet suits, etc), I think of myself as a Neanderthal. Heck Ben, even your van! My stuff was like antique. The one thing Bro are the waves. They are still happening!! Wish my body was like 🏄! Gettn up there! I remember surfin all winter up in Rockaway. U could build fires with drift wood, then the cops would come and spoil the party. Have a Happy& Merry!! You need to bring that new board up north to this sick secret novelty left in the Hudson. When a Nor'easter comes through the waves hit the sunken 50 gallon drums and boom, NUKING double overhead barrels all day. The water has a reddish tint that looks majestic against the rising sun.
