I am sharing my journey of expanding the work area for my small business, by buying a pre made wood shed and turning it into a profitable and efficient workspace. I am hoping this series will be helpful, insightful, and most the time laughable when it comes to me learning things the hard way.
I would love to hear from you all give me your thoughts on what you think I should do to make my shed all that it can be.

I don't know what I'm more jealous of, the fact that you live in a forest, or the fact that you're gonna have a new workshop. So awesome, and well deserved!

Haha it sure looks like a forest where we live. Thanks for watching I am a lucky guy to be able to get an extra workshop.

I love the title. Great use of Failed with Felling trees alongside Succeed.

Glad you caught that, I was hoping I would get a ton of people telling me I used the wrong word but… alas not many have taken the bait.

You and me both! I should definitely leave that to the Pro, I won’t always but I should. 🤫

Up in the Northeast, felling 7 trees would have cost you a whole lot more. I was mentally estimating that job at around $400-500 each, more for the ones closer to structures. Nice work though.

Yes my tree guy is definitely asking too little for his work. I imagine if he had a call for just one tree he would definitely charge more. At least I hope he would.

That was VERY cheap for having those trees felled! Watching you fell trees... was... well, let's be honest, terrifying! That being said, no harm no foul! Be safe and hope 2023 is a great year for you!

He definitely isn’t charging enough for his time and experience. Luck was really on my side, I definitely won’t be taking on dropping trees as a profession.

Just saying here that if you're going to cut down trees any larger in diameter than 4" I'd advise a new blade. It's a cheap insurance policy for the damage, injury, or death a large tree can do. If you sharpen a blade and don't do it correctly there's a good chance it won't cut straight misdirecting where you want the tree to fall. Also, a weakened cut tree, wind, tree lean, and limb weight can break and barber chair the tree or send it off where you don't want it if you have to stop and change a blade to correct the already wrong cut, witch is a sketchy situation to put yourself in in the first place. Depending on where in the cut you are you may not have time to stop and change blades or run to the store to get a new one. Use caution and be safe.

1st comment before the title gets corrected from failing to felling 😏

Right! Actually after doing it and seeing they blued the steel which I am guessing means over heated and probably softened the steel I won’t be taking it back there again. Guess I’ll have to keep buying new chains instead lol.
