Sir you helped me through the worst of problems. I am a Muslim but living in Singapore, I encountered some horrible problems and felt suicidal. I went to a monk who said, Buddhism is a concept not a religion, I am not here to indoctrinate but rather love and help you as your Muslim self. The monk really helped me. I believe without the monk I may of not been here today. You are an amazing human being Dalai Lama and I hope utmost peace to be delivered to you. You brought me so much inner comfort.

Can someone tell his holiness his Indian Mahasiddhas homes in India are found. I do research on Buddhism in Bihar- I realize Lakhisarai District of Bihar is the birthplace of Vajrayana Buddhism. It seems through Vajrayana, Tibetans preserved the history of Lakhisarai and the surrounding villages for which Bihar will one day be grateful. The villages around Lakhisarai town were the homes of great Buddhist Maha Siddha’s like Padmasambhava, Tilopa, Naropa, Atisa, Buddha Amitabha, and Dakinis like Mandarva, Niguma, Sukhasiddhi and many more. Special importance is the village of Sahur mispronounced by Tibetans as Zahor. Sahur village has a Dakini temple which is definitely Mandarva who was Padmasambhava’s first consort. Two Km east of Sahur (Zahor) is Dhanari lake with an Island which is definitely Lake Dhanakosha. And three km southeast of Dhanari Lake is Urain village which sounds similar to the Urgain in the Tibetan seven line prayer to Padmasambhava. Both Urain and the Tibetan Urgain mean to fly. Sansar Lake is definitely the lake where Padmasambhava was freed from Samsara. There is a temple called Jora temple with half a dozen Padmasambhava stone statues that are ditto Tibetan Thangka paintings of him. These have been compared by Tibetans.

Why did 257 people vote 'thumbs down'? There is NOTHING this incredible human being says that should ever make someone disagree with. His compassion, humble approach to life, and superb words of wisdom are food for the mind and soul. You don't have to be buddhist to appreciate what he says. He never preaches religion or telling someone they are doing anything wrong... unless you violate the laws of karma.

The Lama is not anything, either, my friend. Even a identification like that is limiting.
To call someone this or that is an attempt for us as humans to use our senses as scalpels to dissect the world into categories. There are no such things but concepts made by us. Therefore, you are only these things if you value social wealth. If you do not value social wealth, you cannot understand what is inside these categories. Do you see now that the Lama does not identify as a Buddhist in a personal sense, but from a perspective that it is comfortable for the perceive to add him to a category. Therefore he lets himself be categorized by others but not by the self. If you asked him, he would probably shrug and smile.
He touches this in this video: ua-cam.com/video/IUEkDc_LfKQ/v-deo.html
Use this method for yourself and you will see the meaningless you find in not being anything to be the most valuable thing you have.
Live well, my friend. With love.

The value of such peaceful listening to the mind surpasses all other values, so it is considered a priceless pearl. Nothing in life can compare to the value of inner peace, because no matter how rich you are, how high your fame, how powerful you are, you will still suffer as usual if you don't realize it. That pearl of peace and serenity in yourself.

Thank you, Your Holiness, for sharing such profound wisdom about inner peace, inner values, and mental states. Your words serve as a beacon of light, guiding us towards greater understanding and compassion in a world that often feels chaotic.
Your teachings remind us of the power and resilience within our own minds and hearts. Inner peace, as you've wonderfully put it, is not a destination but a journey of nurturing our values and fostering a harmonious mental state.
I am deeply grateful for these insightful teachings that offer us practical tools for cultivating peace and mindfulness in our daily lives. Your timeless wisdom continually inspires us to be better individuals, and for that, we are eternally grateful. #HHDalaiLama #InnerPeace #MentalWellbeing

"When I say Brothers and Sisters I really mean that, at this moment we really need that Spirit. "We" and "they" is an outdated concept, we must have a concept [that] takes entire humanity as our brothers [and] Sisters"
Well this got more relevant every year in the 12 years since this was uploaded, the fact that such a profound statement is only 55 seconds into the video shows the depth not only of the wisdom of His Holiness but his deep compassion for all living beings.

A lot of people seem to think that the moment a self-help guru or spiritual healer gets famous, that's the moment they've "sold-out". I personally am just glad that their teachings reach more and more people tbh :)

Venting frustration/sadness/anger in front of others instead of dealing with the issue.
Two friends of my mother comes to mind.
Always so uncertain even now in their 40's.
Either calling or showing up just to talk for 2 hours about stuff they could deal with.
It's not even something serious most of the time, some unpleasant remark or action at work etc. If the suffering is due to my own mistakes, then i will keep it to myself and try my best to deal with it.
Nobody can carry us past the finishing line.
I feel sorry for my mother who has to listen to this.
It's seldom a visit without "bad news" being brought up

We are all made of this planet. Each and every one of us, Our spirit is the Universe itself. We are all the same.
I am you and you are me.
We are like waves up on the sea.
We rise up take form and have motion
Though we are all still the ocean.
    Kindness for ever!
