    Title should read: "Wasn't as successful as I'd hoped". If people aced everything they did easy and hard... what kind of a life challenge would that be? So you knocked over a few hurdles, next time try to knock down less, and less after that. Life is a marathon not a race, you've covered a great distance so far and your life marathon will be longer because of it. Enjoy what you've accomplished and be excited about what's to come. Boogie....
    I weighed 402
    Here’s what i did to get to 235 in one year.
    1. Told my self “i want to lose a pound a week.
    2. 2000 calories a day, didn’t go over no matter what because “being skinny and living longer is more important than this food I’m about to eat” was my mantra.
    3. Ate whatever i wanted but met my calories goal
    4. Saturday was my “no rules day” i ate what i wanted.
    5. I looked in mirror every day and said “damn almost another pound down, I’m a fucking champ”
    6. Accept that i will feel hungry and that’s key. I need to feel hungry for this to work.
    7. Before each meal i drank 8oz water and steamed seasoned cabbage or broccoli.
    I was losing 5 lbs a month. With random days where i wasn’t as hungry so I’d get to like 1600 cal. Some months losing 8lbs . My fav thing was walking an hour, slowly on my treadmill by watching tv and playing a computer game as i walked (magic the gathering arena)...It’s been 10months I’m now 235lbs

      Have someone help you. Take things that you know you shouldn’t eat and have someone put them up. If you put them up yourself you’ll grab them yourself, set up a cheat MEAL. Not day. Once or ever twice per week to satisfy your sweet tooth or craving. Like drugs you almost have to ween yourself off of it. Eating healthy sucks ass but once your body is accustomed to eating healthy one or two small things are insignificant. Moderation is key. Nobody said you CANT have these things but do it in moderation. This isn’t THE way but advice from someone who been in this position. 6 days of eating healthy and on Sunday have a small meal that makes you satisfy that craving.

    • @alexiparis3244
      @alexiparis3244 6 років тому +2

      Here you go man, set up an attainable-progressive goal. First of all don't get heavier. Second, reduce the amount of "bad food" you eat per day and replace the craving with better, lower calorie options. Third, do some sort of exercise, whatever you can do, just make sure you are doing them correctly.
      Track yourself, don't negative talk yourself but hold yourself accountable. Make sure you sleep and don't spend so much time looking at screens, stop dending on motivation and other people. This is your responsibility! Your body! Your lifestyle. If you fall down don't stay down, ever!
      Learn from it and get better. Believe in yourself. Things can get better.
      Take care.

      What kind of diet are you trying? My recommendation is to not try these fad diets. Dieting is as simple as eating a certain amount of calories. You can actually still eat what you want as long as you stay under that certain calorie count. I lost 22 pounds in a month or so by eating less. I'm not a nutritionist or anything, so take my advice with a grain of salt.

    • @CPowell133
      @CPowell133 6 років тому +7

      The best "diet" is one that you can stick to that fits your lifestyle. I put diet in quotations because you need to find food that fit your lifestyle and the goals you are trying to achieve. Putting some foods in a category of I can't have or are off limits can create a bad relationship with food which is never good. Everything in moderation though that can be challenging. Trying to be active and exercising is the easy part most of the time. That is only 1 to 2 hours a day. The food that impacts your long term fitness goals are the rest.

    • @thedrugthatkilled
      @thedrugthatkilled 6 років тому +1

      You still had more good days than bad ones, and as long as you keep trying you won't fail 💕 Don't be too hard on yourself, it doesn't help 💋 When you eat something that wasn't in your plan, you don't have to throw the whole day away - the very next thing that you decide to eat is another chance for you to make the right choice - these are things that helped me to lose 25kgs. Good luck, keep fighting the good fight!

      Facts

    • @-Cold-World
      @-Cold-World 6 років тому +3

      All calories are not equal. The calories in whole unprocessed plant foods are bound in fiber and are not easily processed by the body like refined foods such as flour, oil, sugar, dairy, or meat.

    • @HVACRMICHAEL
      @HVACRMICHAEL 6 років тому +5

      @@-Cold-World This has a sliver of truth in it. Fiber, unless you have sub par digestion slows down the digestion of fats proteins and carbohydrates. It does not reduce the foods caloric value. Extra dietary fiber can be beneficial if you are diabetic, have certian metabolic issues, or are genetically predisposed to colon cancer. That being said, generally high fiber foods are less calorically dense than otherwise processed foods, so I can see where you get this idea from. It is alot easier to over eat when you are eating processed low fiber foods. Processed foods also contain perservatives and many artificial (and for the most part unhealthy) addatives that can contribute to multitudes of disease. You are being idealocially helpful but unfortunately not factually helpful my friend.

    You didn't fail. You still dropped down to 347. That's something to be proud of. Next month you'll be down to the 320s, and after that 300s. Just keep at it. Restart DDP Yoga if you haven't already, at least the exercise portion and add it to your daily routine, to build up your muscles. You'll be down to a Thicc 250 before you know it :P

      Thanks for mentioning DDP yoga. I’ve seen a number of UA-cam videos showing success stories. I’ve been trying to get my brother to embrace this method for getting in better physical shape. He knows proper eating, but he’s got to work on increasing the physical activity.

    • @ivenstorm
      @ivenstorm 6 років тому

      @@probablynot1368 I did DDP Yoga for 3 1/2 months. This was before I left my parents house, and before other stuff got in the way of proper eating. I dropped from 270 lbs down to 228 lbs. I have since went back up to 288 lbs (now down to 265 lbs due to my physical activity increasing). Sadly, I can't afford to eat healthy all the time. I live on an island so groceries shipped here cost a fair chunk.
      It's not super expensive mind you, but until I get steady hours with work, I have to cut corners here and there.

    Well, if you failed for 2 days that's still 28 days where you succeeded so I think you should try to see the positives in that. I understand that you might feel that you're letting fans who are doing the same down, but honestly I think that you're right to feel that not succeeding for a couple of days per month is okay. That way it doesn't become an obsession ending with you just living on water and lettuce or something. Anyhow, losing 14 lbs in a month is great in my book so good going! :)

    I'm really glad you brought up the aspect of tolerances building and antidepressants losing their optimal benefits. My life since the middle of high school has involved antidepressants, it feels like an absolute miracle once you find the one that lessens your anxiety to nonexistant levels, or lets you enjoy the finer things in life that much more. But the best feelings they produce doesn't last forever. But it can be live saving, and allow you to make it through each and everyday even after being on one for years. I hope that everyone truly battling with severe depression and anxiety has an opportunity to find a medication that helps them. It took 7 years and 10 pills for me, but I am so much better off now than I was ever before.
