I’ve owned my 02 for 51 years. Got it when I was 16 years old. Liked it when I bought it and still do. Of course it is no longer stock. The best modification I’ve done is fuel injection some 17 years ago. I had the Weber setup for many years prior. I retained the comforts like a/c, heat, and radio.
Back in the mid seventies l owned a 1972ti l pulled the motor when the valve guides were done. My engine builder managed to get 195 hp out of it Back it the seventies it surprized everyone that when for a ride in it! Currently I'm restoring a 1973 2002tii in Agave green l can't even remember the last time l was in a 2002 I sure hope l fit! If you want current values give Hagerty a call, you might be surprised
@@premiumheritage3322 So would l as it been in the body shop for almost a year!! So 2002 stands for 2002 places you'll find rust When completed l plan to post a walkround UA-cam video
Great video. Love the car and story. Would have liked to see some interior footage and more old pictures from previous iterations, so we could really see the progression. Keep it up guys. 👍
@@premiumheritage3322 awesome, i actually creative direct videos for a living, haha. it just so happens that i also love cars. keep up the great content fellas, i'll keep watching!
Having the 68 bimmer next to the 64 impala next to it made my day. Wish I could take my 71. 2002 to him to get it dialed in perfect so I can actually drive it, mine is only a four speed tho😔
@@khalid749 but it doesn’t run good at all, it doesn’t even go pass 3500 rpm’s I have taken it to three different places and nobody can get it fixed, wish I knew what is wrong with it
@@waterlover you have to find better mechanics. It’s hard nowadays to find people who actually know how to work on these. The folks that know/knew how to work on these are either dead or retired. If you’re in CA I can recommend some places.
@@khalid749 I’m game I’ll drop it off as long as they can get it running it runs turns on like a match just runs like crap and back fires like a son of a gun and can’t get passed 3500 rpm’s . From what I was reading I thinks it’s out of timing. Everything in the engine and Tranny are brand new everything even pistons , rings, clutch , chain, valves, everything even the carburetor

Ben Lau is the greatest human in existence. That is all.
This a stunning machine!!
We agree!
The stance really makes the car, I see you are running 185/60-13. What is the wheel width and are the fenders rolled?
