I am a Marine of 12 years and I am TIRE of seeing these undiscipline "police officer" walking our streets, there's no accountability from the TOP to the BOTTOM. The Uniform Code of Military Justice is the working framework that keeps service member in good order and discipline. I believe congress should put in place a similar system that will hold police accountable for their actions. For example: Miltary - misconduct unbecoming of member, Dishonorable Discharge. Law Enforcement - Misconduct of public servant, unlawful arrest/assault, Dishonorable terminations. These laws would reflect the duties and responsibility of police. What do everyone think of this idea of having police having their own laws.

I do have to say as a citizen living in the suburbs of Minneapolis myself that you all have made very thoughtful points that I personally agree with and a strong majority of viewers will agree with as well. When we talk about the fact of the people protesting and rioting and looting within the city of Minneapolis, it’s easy to see what is actually going on here. You are right when you mentioned that there are protesters that are using their civil liberties to speak their opinion in a lawfully way and following social distancing guidelines. However there is a much larger group of people that are not following these guidelines and laws that are set in place. These people never started as “peaceful protesters” but they started as the rioters and looters that we have all seen on the news. What has happened in the city of Minneapolis and what is causing the city to burn is not because of further “police interference” past the point of the original event that took place last Monday. This group of people are not respectful to their neighbors or other citizens of the city by burning low income housing or grocery stores or small businesses that are already struggling from the pandemic. I think this needs to go as noticed as the original event itself. I think that the killing of unarmed people in broad daylight needs to stop however, I also believe that as a community if we want justice for what has happened we should take the time and end the violence and destruction all together because we are just creating a relationship that is worse between law enforcement and the general public. All while pushing the stereotypes that are already in place for all groups involved.
