For those of you complaining that this was boring, or wasn't show offey enough for you, that was the whole point. Watch the whole thing. Mr. Ferrone even points out that hey, sometimes it's all about the groove ladies and gentleman. And this was fantastic.
What's a groove!!!!! Most of these cats today have no concept of it at all!!
They think that the more "tricks" you can do the better drummer you are!!
I had a young drummer about 20-ish tell me " Man you are OK...
but you're booing!.........all you do is keep the beat" Best complement a drummer can ever get!!!

He's gotten plenty gigs over the years with his style, along with Jonathan Moffett as Michael Jackson's drummer. What good are solos and extra fills, when you can't keep a clean pocket?? Sometimes, less equals more, which is why I appreciate guys like these.
Anyone who paints negative about this has completely missed the point.

I watched this a long time ago because of Steve Perry, whose voice was as strong as ever, by the way. Then I fell in love with the whole thing. It is suck "feel good" music.
That yeoww is none other than Steve Perry. Who says he can't sing in the high register he used to? Listen closely to this and you'll hear those sweet high notes. Steve looks wonderful too.
This man can still play a mean cowbell too.

Perry looks great to me!! I'm not familiar with Steve Ferrone, but I think it was nice of him to introduce Steve as a friend of his. I saw an old pic of Steve Perry when he was a teenager, and he was playing drums, so I guess he's good at that, too! I thought he sounded great, too!!

As a sort of new drummer, watching this makes me so sad lol. That pocket is so clean omg. Hopefully I can be this clean someday in the future
Buy a pair of good ear protection headphones and a guitar player with the same and have metronome jams everyday for a few years
