Great tips. Thanks! I just ordered the game after watching this video, primarily because they've designed the game to be more action heavy than grind heavy (which almost all modern games are). Games make you grind so much (looking at Diablo 4), just so that they can tempt you with add ons and micro transactions to ease the progress. It just takes the fun away and turns a game into a full time chore. I also like that FF16 is a more linear game compared to a massive open world (also a popular feature of most modern games), because that just takes the focus so much away from the main story that one eventually burns out before ever completing the main story quest. I think Square Enix got it just right in FF16, and am really looking forward to start playing this game.
Late to comment, but for anyone new, don’t sleep on the Wypes ability you get after unlocking Limit Break. The description makes it look weak, but it’s honestly one of the best skills in the game. Deals multiple damage near enemies, no damage from attacks, recharges right after use (meaning you still have it for a while even while it recharges) the ability is absolutely broken but it’s easy to miss because the skill description makes it feel non appealing
The dodge ring is a brilliant inclusion. I found it taught me how to dodge, it actually helped me learn when to do so. Half way into it i was good enough to take it off
@TheSolarium18 Oh, I've been playing Souls games since Demon Souls. My ability to dodge has not improved a bit. Which is why I go full block builds, hah.
Finally, someone explained the difference between the + and ! quests. I'm right before the final mission and still didn't know the difference, lol. I'm pretty sure it's the final mission anyways, you never know with rpgs. Could be the "this is my final, final form" tropes, lol.
I switch between Quality and Performance modes depending on the location. Quality mode's lower FPS actually hurts my eyes when i turn the camera, as the scene is hard to follow whilst moving, but Performance mode gives a smoother experience which i prefer. I use Quality mode when i want to see great scenes in the game 😊
My main complaint? No outfits, i really wish the game had them. Quality mode is the way to go here. The visual hit you get in perf isnt worth it, its rarely at 60 fps and 30 fps mode is so much more steady. Upscaled 1080p with a couple frame boost, that goes up and down all the time just isnt worth the visual hit. Graphics mode. Perf is just too blurry, the world is too pretty for that.
Apparently I bought this at Launch. Forgot about it and then noticed the game case and the steel book as well. Installed it and played a few hours this morning before crashing for my 6 night work week. Great fun so far and just taking my time with it
I am so slacking on this game havent bought it yet and i truly dont know why looks absolutely amazing watched the first 5 6 hours of it everything looks amazing just gotta get it truly don't know what im waiting for
Do you lose score points after the battle if you equipped these help accessories e.g dodging accessory? Because if u do that will effect the quality of rewards
It will most likely increase your score and give you better items. This game forces you to choose between cheesing the game or not. Using ring of timely evasion, ring of timely strikes and ring of timely healing creates a game that smashes square and will always score high. Just smash square and get on with the story. Or don't use the rings and actually face the challenge of combat.
@@acecha05Kinda want to sell these items. Unless you have an actual physical disability then what's the point on playing this game with these items. Just pure cream cheese.

Don’t get me wrong i really enjoy the game but it’s definitely not a GOTY game. It serves for me as a much needed easy cheasy fun summer break from better more complex games like Eldenring, Anno 1800 complete edition, Baldurs Gate3 beta, GoW Ragnarök. Its a fun stupid cinematic popcorn action bombast which you can play at evenings for a hour but certainly not a anything relevant for the gaming industry. It has the most generic and boring sidequests i can imagine, very outdated immersion (npcs without daily routines, invisible walls, gear without optical representation, very few world interactions, incapsulated fights, no dialogue options, no choices etc) Loot is completely uninteresting, levelling itself is irrelevant except for unlocking the abilities, etc The only thing this game has going for it are the cinematic presentation of the story and the chill action gameplay (which either isn’t even far the best in the industry) Even the story is pretty dumb and a lot of it is just cheap game of thrones copy but with practically an embodying of what dragged the got series down and nothing of the grounded inner logic it made it great in the first place or the complex characters. All in all this game is a simple over the top popcorn movie entertainment at its best points and a filler with boring mmo gameplay at points were the plot is sagging
