Willas singing in nearly perfect German "Bitte mach mir ein Bananenbrot. Ich hab Hunger einen Tier" -> "Please make me a banana bread. I'm hungry (like) an animal". Soooo cute. ❤😊
St. Peter Ording is basically on the same latitude as southern Alaska The Baltic Sea is a lot less windy has generally warmer weather and almost no tide, if you are looking for a more classical beach day
Welcome back to Germany!! I remember that my father was sent to St.Peter Ording for a recovering time after he came home from prison camp in Russia. He was one of the last german soldiers that were released in the 50s. He was drafted at age 17 at the very end of WW2 and got captured by the russians 3 month later. He spent 10 yrs in a work camp. In the 60s they sent him to St.P.O. I know this has nothing to do with your trip, but at least I could see how it looks like there since I always remember this name.
This summer, September was defenitely warmer than July and August were. At least you got to experience the beach a little. I loved to hear Willa sing in German.
I am glad you changed your mind. Nicer weather is essential at the beach to fully enjoy it. And northern Wind is no joke. I hope next time you visit Amrum an Island, you will love it there ❤ highly recommend. Or an Hallig its an unique expierence
Joke's on Tanner. As they get further "germanized" - one day he'll sit there as an old man at the FKK beach - making videos on how awesome it is and where the best FKK beaches are. 🫣😁😂
06:15 I stayed at a thatched cottage like that on the coast near Holstebro in 1980. We got there from Hamburg very late in the evening, it was already dusk, but we couldn't find a key to open the door. Eventually one of my relatives asked a neighbour and she said it's normal for the the landlord/owner to leave the key in the thatch, close to the front door. Sure enough, with a torch and poking around in the thatch we found the key.
I hope that you may some day fund a Reetdachkate mit Küchenhexe (wood fired cookstove). Cooking on one of those things is a memory that will never leave you.
I lived near Husum for ten years in a thatched house built in 1800 something. (Forgot the exact date. It’s been 25 years 🤣!) We visited Sankt Peter-Ording frequently - it was our favorite beach. Watching this video made me feel as though I was “home” again. Thank you! So glad that you had a great time!
"Bitte mach' mir ein Bananenbrot"......... 🥰😂 my cutest "Little (big) Poffertje" Willa's been so dear and seemingly so happy! Keep worshipping your wonderful girls and enjoy Europe, my home continent! Thank you so much for having you here! ❤❤
Hi guys, great to see that you have given this area a second chance and obiviously you havent been disappointed. Such an open wide sandy beachground can be found on several other place along the coastline as well and you may understand why lots of families with kids prefer to spent their time to relax in the northern part part as well. Refreshing air, good food, many outdoor activitiy options and many things to see helps to take a nice and good brake from daily routine. There are lots nice places also along the coastline of the baltic sea and I am sure you will find some you will love it.
Oh, we were also here at Tümlauer Koog in Café Eclair on September 16th to end our holiday on the coast with a wonderful breakfast. It would have been nice to meet you here!
Yeah. Best Café ever! Great to see you enjoy St. Peter Ording, as we had the worst weather late July/early August there this year. And Willa sings soo nice in German, very very cute!
I actually recommed checking out the eastern Ostsee ("Baltic Sea") between July and September (roughly everything from Wismar to the polish border). Its way warmer than the North Sea and one of the sunniest and driest spots of the country (actually Usedom is called the "sun island"). Still love the Nordsee for its islands and the Wattenmeer. Great that you went another time, I would have probably given up after one time lol.
Omg 3€ for a Cup of coffee is very expensive 😱 But thanks for youre impressions. I live in schleswig holstein too (near kiel). Im glad you liked here in the north of germany. bless you and youre family have a good travel too. ❤
Remember, Germany does not have much coastline, but they have 80 mill people loving the nature, as Germans do. So they simply don't have enough coastline, to give them a nice nature experience. But they are in luck, just north of Germany, there is a small country with over 7000 km coastline. On the west coast of Jutland, there are more Germans than Danes in the summer time. In 2029 the Fehmarn Belt Tunnel is supposed to be finished ( Video: "The Insane Scale of Europe’s New Mega-Tunnel"), then Germans will "invade" (no dear Germans, I did not mean it that way) Zealand and Copenhagen. German cyclists have already begun. And they are very welcome, we do have enough space and nature here in Denmark.
Yip, Sankt Peter-Ording is phenomenal. I spent the first vacation with my former wife in Sankt Peter-Ording and came back several times since that days. After that I prefer the north sea coast between Bredene and Blankenberge in Belgium. Very much resembles Sankt Peter-Ording with a little bit more "adult" playgrounds like golfcourses and horsetracks.
You really should think about staying in Europe/Germany for good in order to give your beautiful girls a good and cheap education! We have regretted not having moved back to Germany soon enough so that our boys wouldn’t have to go through those insane costly college/university years! Paying off these debts is actually irresponsible, but (almost) unavoidably! I know, your girls are far away from that, but so thought we as we have moved to the US from Germany and all of the sudden they had been too old to make that move back to Germany without hurting them emotionally and academically!
If you have already taken the trouble to drive from Bavaria to the north, you should have better gone to the Baltic Sea. We Germans definitely prefer the Baltic Sea. It’s sunnier, less windy and the towns are prettier. Especially in north EAST Germany
12:41 I just have come back from a trip to the USA. I bought a cheesecake at Walmarts and also had one at the hotel. Both looked very nice but the taste! Never again! I don't know why people are buying these. But then the soft chewy cookies! Mmmmh!
(Alte Schule in Husum, kein Geheimtipp😉) Hilsen til Denmark!
Einmal Nordfriese, immer Nordfriese, egal wo wir leben. Once a North Frisian, always a North Frisian,no matter where we live Next time you are up there check Husum

I lived in St. Peter -Ording (SPO) for 2,5 years. I really miss the sunsets and the clean air!!!
We can imagine! Such a beautiful place! 😊
04:00 So it's true, Americans do not butter their bread. Don't understand that. Bread takes on a whole new divine taste with a spread of butter.

St.Peter is always worthwhile visiting, whatever the weather might be. But as a northerner we don't mind rain and storm.
I remember the Schimmelreiter 🐎 🪖 from Theodor Storm 🌪️ ...

Schleswig-Holstein, der ECHTE Norden halt. Wir können das ab mit dem Wetter, was bleibt uns auch übrig 😂

8:18 How infinitely patient little ladies can be, when it results in beauty and enchantment . . . 😊
She definitely held so still for the face paint! :)
I totally agree that Germans are very generous! ❤. What a wonderful trip.

Us Germans put butter on bread all the time
Love this video and love Willa's song 😊👏🏽❤

Willa is so incredible cute!!!! I love that video. You have the talent to be in a good mood in any weather. The roofs of the houses are amazing.

I follow you for so long now … here and on Insta … We love your videos and your beautiful family ❤
Aww that means a lot! Thanks for being a part of our adventures! 🫶
Had been there 10 days ago for a week. We had wonderfuld warm and sunny weather without wind 😄

That type of weather is quite normal for northern Germany. It is called "Schietwedder" - I don´t think I have to translate that!

Great video guys. Never been there.
This type of poppyseed Cake is my absolute favorite 😋😋😋
I like the Baltic sea more bc it is better for swimming and not so windy 😊
We can understand why! We loved Rugen island!!
But the North sea is warmer.
So happy to see you enjoyed it here.
Awesome vlog! Thanks for taking us with you :)
Thanks for watching!!

Germany has roughly 2400 km of coastline, including the isles.
@mila.aurel2604 I am not so sure. The Danish kingdom is bigger than Germany.
@@Gert-DKOnly because it includes Greenland.
@@Flugkaninchen As UK includes Scotland, Wales, England and NI.
BTW, we even have higher mountains than Germany. Gunnbjørns Fjeld is 3700 meters high.
In Greenland yes😅.

Very symphatik family
And then there are people who claim that pigs can't fly !! ;)
Haha proven wrong in this video 😂 it was a fun kite, that’s for sure!
The first pigs flew for Pink Floyd (album Anomale)...🤓😂😂

Aaaaaaarno!
I am living just 50 km away ❤
Oh wow what a place to live 💛
Hi neighbour! 😊

We absolutely loved the Baltic Sea when we went to Rugen island. :) we need to go back!!
My granny went to St. Peter Ording every year for recreation. So for me it's a bit like a old's people place.
for me too,.. hilariously enough that kept me away while i was being younger... now when i am slowly getting older i think i should give it a visit...
It isn’t! Many surfers and kite surfers over there.
You should visit the Island Norderney 😊
It’s on our bucketlist!
Well, there's nothing wrong with naked grandmas and grandpas, is there ? 😉
😁🥰

So fun you were traveling! To be honest, we would never buy a cheesecake from Walmart… Sam’s club on the other hand 😋
Much sweeter than German cheesecakes though!
When you go home?
You didnt went to the lighthouse???
It's being renovated and in a scaffold at the moment, so not as photogenic as normally.
Der var jeg for mange år siden, med til at bygge deres rensningsanlæg. Der sker ikke en skid om vinteren. 😀😀😀

Har også været i Husum - Jeg holder meget af Tyskland. :-)
Krabbenbrötchen! Soooo lecker!
It seems that you are unlucky! It is, Most the time, raining in your videos!
not that I like "Meeresfrüchte oder Erzeugnisse"
but " Schrimp Schrippe"
Ich bin jetzt mal nicht neidisch!
ST. PETER ORDING Is just too expensive.
North Sea is completely off the mark. Come to Rostock Warnemünde and well
