It's a great clip Mike, and not wishing to dilute the focus of the clip, which is really important. but another case of a thoughtless limit change, just before a hazard, which means both incoming and outgoing traffic are either speeding up or maintianing 30mph... Surely a no brainer for authorities to put limit change after (outgoing traffic) hazard and before (incoming traffic) . My local council puts limit changes (increase) right before potential hazards far too often 🤔🤔
It's a common problem that is often caused by limit changes being at parish boundaries. Ancient history affecting modern riding/driving. However, in this case the limit change is actually due to the creeping extensions of the 20 limit through the village. Complaining would probably mean the 20 would be extended to encapsulate the bridge, then you'd only have a couple of hundred yards of 30 before the NSL. Limit creep is a thing and is the cause many of the very short sections of NSL all over the country. Off my soapbox! 😃
Hi Mike Hope you’re well. Excellent little clip, shows how we can get caught out/lulled into things if we aren’t careful. Have a good bank holiday weekend
We have to keep a balance between having restraint and the making of progress. Restraint first and then if all is clear then progress. The car appeared as he was almost on the 'give way' line so its understandable that he had to brake somewhat harder than normal and in doing so appeared to be clumsy. Had he been going a little slower then I am sure that he could have stopped before the give way line.
But of course he wasn't going slower, and that's the point.. You 'plan' for a vehicle coming over that bridge, and if doesn't, then its a bonus. Just my thoughts.
Thanks Mike and thanks to the rider being observed for allowing it to be shown.
The use of your highlights in editing really useful.
Glad you found it useful.
Nice one Mike, so easy to get caught out when multiple hazards and warnings appear together or quickly one after the other !
Multiple hazards have to be prioritsed. Easy to get overloaded if you've been riding for a while that day.
Mike, always enjoy watching your video's. Very helpful. Thank you 👍
Glad you like them!

All good thanks. Glad you liked the clip.

They should have seen the car earlier using the cross view. The camera is bike mounted a bit lower than our eyes at headlight level.

Good learning points there Mike, thanks for posting. As it happens, I was out for a ride today on that route (amongst others).
Thanks. I was through there early this morning too.
Planned to go, forced to stop!
Yep, they went in expecting to go through.
