Actually, the word catapult is a "umberella" term and not a specific device. Under the term catapult you have i.e. Ballista, Springald, Mangonel, Onager and Trebuchet. However when people hear the word catapult they usually think of the device Mangonel.
I have no business putting one of these Catapults in my bag with only two months of playing under my belt but I just love all of the names and stamps Westside selects. I have the Northman and absolutely love that disc. I picked it up during my first tournament after a number of other people raved about it and my drives picked up an extra 50-75 feet and it just flew so straight I feel like I can accurately hit the many tunnel shots around here. Definitely going to explore more of this brand and see if they work as well as the Northman does for me.
Yet another awesome westside disc review. You video reviews of these were the reason that i canged most of my bag to westside! Truly appreciate what you do for all of us. Keep it 💯
As a sidearm guy, this is my go to disc for all long distance drives but avoid for it for any short range hyzer. When thrown at an over angle it will always stabilize.
I'm not too familiar with Westside discs products, but these videos are really helping me out so I can throw more trilogy products. Thanks for these videos Danny! I may need to try the catapult out!
I have never thrown a Westside disc. I plan on checking them out in the future. I like how you explain the numbers and flight in a straight forward way. Keep the videos coming.
I've been slowly adding more westside discs into my bag. Just added an air king and that baby is amazing. I'd imagine this would be a welcome addition as well
This disc sounds good for my forehand, I have used a katana for a few months and every time I throw it I have to worry about it turning over, but this disc seems pretty faster than a katana and I could power on this disc without it turning over. Keep up the hard work, love the vids and all the work u put in to the videos. But overall love the vids and the reviews.
I've thrown one and it's a really solid disc that gets overlooked. I'd compare it to a champ tern or ddx, but the rim on the catapult is much deeper and the catapult doesn't turn and burn as easily as the tern or ddx.
I think it’s a bit too much disc for my arm currently. One thing I do know though: That mustache is getting ready to catapult Danny to a whole new level. And yes. The trebuchet/catapult mix up matters to me too.
Maybe it is a translation error but trebuchets work completely different then catapults. I'm with you on the stamp being wrong. Maybe needs an update? Still looks like a cool Max distance disc.

I would like to try the Westside Discs VIP Trebuchet... errrr... I mean Catapult. Either way, looks like it would match up nicely with a more stable run of flat top VIP King, which is what I currently throw for my main distance driver.

I think this disc would fit me better than the world. I can't seem to grab the world the right way. This being a superior siege weapon, I know I would be able to crush the competition with it.
It's translation error, or wrong art in disc. Trebuchet is catapult and catapult is catapult in finnish language. Actually trebuchet is translated counterweight catapult in finnish. Vastapainokatapultti. So, it should be Trebuchet, not catapult. Or they should change that stamp to catapult. 😄✌️
A while ago we decided that some of the flight numbers are a bit inaccurate so we updated them. Notable examples are the World and the Stag that both got a -1 turn rating vs their previous 0 rating.

I left my last catapult on the course on accident. Was using it for my forehand shots for almost the same way Danny described.

Our engineering fraternity built a trebuchet, 2 stories tall. The city made us take it down :-(. I will throw this discs in their honor!
