So informative video☺Good to know how worm composting works😊Very useful information for gardening beginners☺Thanks for sharing good video🎉Take care friend😊🎋🎅🎉🎋
You have a regular cafe going for the worms. Steve's worm cafe now open. Family owned. Opened for young and old worms and family. Super cool, Steve. Nice feed.
Beautiful looking castings, Steve. Too bad about your camera fail. I've lost several videos to camera boo-boos and it's always disheartening. You're one of the few worm farmers who also feeds leaves to indoor worm bins. Clearly, your worms love it! Happy new year! ~ Sandra
The glitches in life as a UA-camr. 🤣 People worry about bringing bugs into the house along with the leaves. I really haven't had a problem and the only extra's have been Roly Poly bugs. Plus the texture of the castings from leaves are great and totally worth a few pill bugs getting into the bins. Thanks for watching Sandra.
Nice way to harvest a bin! Castings look terrific!! I liked the way you showed how you store your castings. It is pretty important not to let them dry out, keeps the biology, plus any worms or cocoons that hatch out alive. Finished making my CFT bin out of a 55 gal drum yesterday. Making fresh bedding and grabbing a bunch of worms out of other bins to get it started. I am making a video about this project, hopefully my friend can retrieve my channel. Have not started my onions yet, hopefully tomorrow. Have a great day Steve! Stay Well!!!!
55 g will hold a lot of worms! That size bin will keep you well supplied. I got my onions started on Sat and am starting to see the 1st of the seedlings emerge. Thanks for watching Brian.
@@stevefromthegarden1135 How much snow did you get? I measured 8" Guess the next one coming Friday will be a real doozy, then some nice arctic air. Glad we are getting the snow 1st. Stay Well my friend!!!!
@@brianseybert192 I got around 5 inches of wet and heavy snow. With the cold that is coming the next snow should be much lighter but with the probability of it blowing and freezing. Stay warm and hopefully it won't be as bad as they are calling for.
I haven't grown mushrooms but there are vendors online that sell starter kits targeted at specific varieties of mushrooms. I recommend starting this way to ensure any mushrooms you grow are safe to eat and are exactly what you're looking for. Once you have the fungal spors growing, you should be able to keep growing them by replacing the growing medium with materials that are like those used in the start kit. Good luck to you and thanks for watching.
Great harvest. I like your sifter Steve. Awesome way to get rid of the old corn stalks. I just realized I did some planting and the mic was on but not transmitting or receiving. Plus I ran out of memory card space too. It was a double whammy. 😁🪱
lol. That happens. 🤣 I was filming 1 video and didn't realize the battery had died on the Transmitter. Having missed the moment, I ended up skipping the whole thing.

Thanks for watching. I now have plenty of castings ready for seed starting.
Great video and demo of your harvesting techniques!🪱🪱🪱
The softing frame i built last year is worjing out well. Thanks for watching
Great video and gentle way of coaxing out the remaining worms from your harvest 💩👍🪱👍💩
Thanks for watching Peggy. The wet paperbag is a simple, low effort way to get them back into the bins. 😀

I left the blended cafe food 😀 sloppy to add some moisture to the dry bedding materials and to draw them in.

Happy New Year Steve! 🥳 Bins and castings are looking good 🪱💩
Happy New Year Heather. Castings are ready for seed starting in a few months. 😀 Thanks for watching
Great video thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for watching.
Nice worm castings. You should set up a roadside stand and sell the castings. I bet you would get a line a block long. Good Stuff. Looks great!
The castings did turn out really nice but not ready to go commercial just yet. 🤣 Thanks for watching Tom.

Hello, don't be tired, can you help me prepare button mushroom compost?

Bin looks active and producing well. Going to be cold here so can't do mine yet.👍🙏👌🤠💩🪱
With your bins being outside, best to leave them with as much material as possible. Thanks for watching Nick.

Nice castings and great sifting set also 🪱🇳🇿
Thanks for watching. The sifter has been quite useful and makes quick work screening out chucky bits from compost, potting soil and worm castings.
