I carry tools with me it’s the old HD roll bag tool kit that I believe Harley has discontinued in the baggers, I used them mostly especially for those parts which tend to get loose like your foot peg did.
Now about my 2nd trip to Sturgis, I rode solo to Sturgis to meet up with friends who had their bikes trailered in as they traveled by air. I rode 621mls. starting from Rhode Island to the 1st stop in Euclid, Ohio, the next day 366mls. to the 2nd stop in Joliet, Illinois waiting for two other guys who never made it to my destination, I continued on solo 561mls to the 3rd stop in Sioux Falls, SD and then 354mls straight to Sturgis. I have to tell you it was one of the best times riding solo because I broke it up with the in between short days. You can ride hard straight through if you’re pinch for time, but here’s an example of doing so with those two other guys I was waiting for they both started a day later to accomplish the 1000 miles a”Iron Butt Challenge” in one day. While doing so they both got speeding tickets in PA traveling over 100 mph, which could be considered “reckless driving” and the one who ruined his engine on his brand new bike on a 2015 HD Road Glide Special riding practically on 1 piston all the way back home.
Thanks for sharing!
glad you get out and ride with your dad my son 43 years old and my granddaughter rides to im 63 and love that i get to ride with my son and granddaughter
I love that Night Train, such a nice and mean looking bike. I have a 2001 softail Deuce, still in good shape.
Thank you! Love deuces!
I can go back far enough to remember carrying extra points, condensor and plugs as well as extra tools. Yeah ironhead and shovelheads were my rides.
Awesome!
We have a family/friends trip booked for sturgis this year! We're staying at custer state park the 9th-13th! My father inlaw, a family friend and myself will be on our bikes and my wife will be pulling the trailer an camping gear. should be a good time an hopefully turn into a yearly trip
Sounds like an awesome time!
Nice video. All the bikes are looking nice. That Dyna sounded mean at the end, let er eat!!! 🤘🤘
Thank you!! 🤘🏼
Great video 👍👍👍 I carry a small tool bag, first aid kit and a tourniquet on my 21 Road glide. 🦈
Those are all great things to have!!

@@maldog4303 thank you for your service! 🇺🇸
I haven’t been to Sturges yet either. For me from NC would be a good 600 miles a day saddle time. That’s a hell of a lot of riding.
split it up into smaller ride times... I go up from Oklahoma, and we take the scenic route and take in the small towns and such... just leave a day or 2 earlier so you don't have to ride as hard... or as long... it's a great time and well worth the trip... even if you only go once... you can still say: Yeah, I've don Sturgis...
Guestimating you guys are in the Albany area... it's about 26 hours to Sturgis from there... so you need to figure out how far you can ride in a day without pushing yourselves too hard... it'd be a great VLOG series...
I'm in Oklahoma and rode my FXD up... was a GREAT time...
Great video. I watch it on my TV. When we went to Sturgis, 2017. We did trailer the bikes. Stayed 14 miles up into the Black Hills from town. 8 day's there to ride. Made the most of that. I do need a tool kit. Again this video was cool. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks Ray! Sounds like an awesome trip, would love to do it one day
Hey guys great video, good looking out falling parts. we went to Sturgis stayed in deadwood it was awesome as usual, have lots of pics can’t attach them on here 😎
That's awesome!! Glad you had a great time!
🛑🛑 Great Bike Night 👍!!
It’s good you guys got out. As a parent of 3 girls, nights where you and your spouse are out being free of the kids are “golden”.
Enjoy those days apart from the kids, as much as the days with the kids 😀👍.
Thank you! That's for sure, very true words!
@9:18 SLIM! Love it. You said, "It's been three and a half years since you had a no-kids night," I heard, "It's been three and a half years since you had your pegs tightened." Hiyoooo! Ride safe!
🤣🤣 thanks!
I have been to Sturgis 3 times. You don't have to ride, especially when you are 2000 miles away. When I get there, I like to ride and enjoy the sights and sounds. If I rode a couple thousand miles, I would need some down time. And I went the week prior to the actual event, the vendors are set up and not as many people. But just the beautiful riding is worth the trip!
That's a great point!! Either way we would love to go!
Always carry tools, tire repair kit, pump, jump box and cylinder of fuel.
Watching that video of your ride to the event, your husband's video seem choppy when he spoke as opposed to yours, It could be the camera mount but I wondered how rough his bike rides compared to yours which seems to glide over the bumps like a bagger.
Seems like it depends on where the microphone fell in the helmet that day. They are different helmets, so wind noise will never be the same.
Awesome video, man I miss riding and hope to have my 82 Wide Glide up and running soon. Cheers from TX BTW. 🍻🎉
Thanks! Hope you're up and riding soon!
Loved the video you two. Love those handle bars on Tanya's bike. I had to laugh that you both talk with your hands while riding. But that shows how comfortable you are riding. Peace and Love you two.
Thank you so much Dave! It must be a mix of a comfort and an Italian thing 🤣🤣 We appreciate you hanging out with us!!
Hello from Southport North Carolina! Love yall's content. Awesome stuff all the way around. Absolutely incredible
Thank you for that! Really appreciate it!!
Was wandering what swing arm bag you are running. I also have a side mount license plate. Didn’t know if it interferes with the mounting of the bag or not.
It was just a generic one from a leather shop, it took alittle finagling to get it on there. Zip ties help 🤣🤣
Love the channel! Also I bought a full set of Eagle lights for my 08 ElectraGlide Ultra Classic with the promo code you gave us.
Thank you for that! 🤘🏼
Looks like north west of NYC on the Hudson river ?
I have a little tool bag but always forget to bring it with me on rides, I need to find saddlebags. Lol
Too funny lol
Put some blue lock tight on your foot peg.
Thank you!
The wife’s 5’ 2.
She’s interested in the dynas & soft tails. We were wondering if you had a few suggested mods that you did to make your bike rideable for a shorter rider?
You're welcome! Definitely lower the rear for her. They also make some seats designed for shorter riders. If the bike has forward controls, it will help to put more of floorboard style peg on it. Also, if you do mini apes or pull back style drag bars, they can reach easier! Hope that helps!!
Eric can you please tell me what type of handlebars are on Tanya's Bike they look amazing,
What brand and what size ?
Thank you 😊

They are the 12 inch bars. We also have a 2 part video of the install on our channel

Amazing riding video, like always 💯.
I love the way you guys explain all the mods and the custom parts you guys put on those Bikes 🏍
Keep that hard work 💪🏽 💯
Thank you for that!!
Could you tell me what type of communication system you are using. It seems like it works very well. Thank you in advance. Dustin. Southern California.
Hi Dustin, We use the Cardo packtalk bold to communicate to each other. And the movo lavaliere (Amazon) That connects to our GoPros thats how you hear us talking in our riding videos.
Cool! 🍻
I always carry tools. Never been out thankfully and had to use them on my bike however I’v used them plenty on other peoples bikes who didn’t have any tools.
Most of the time that's the case for us as well! Nice to have though!
Clutch cable looks short
Aloha guys!! Nice video I totally like how the Dyna is coming. Bike nights are fun, hope to have those start up in Kona again soon. You guys are so awesome, keep rockin and doing what you guys do. Much Aloha from your friend in Kona
Aloha🤙🏽🌋🌴
Thanks Thony! We hope they start up for you soon as well, always a good time! Thanks for the love our friend!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Awesome video guys. You both need to get out to the Black Hills. Best riding ever. Be going back out to the 83rd next year. And definitely ride out there. Be the 7th rally for me. And the first not riding a bagger. Gonna do it on my 96 Softail. Should be interesting lol.
That is going to be awesome! Good for you!
Hey guys, Awesome video, as always 🤘🏻💯!! Love the riding videos and the bike night stuff too 🤘🏻💯. Just got back home from riding tonight with my friends, nice 126 mile blast to end a long work day. Bikes are looking BAD ASS as always. Sturgis is definitely on mine and Melinda's bucket list to do as well. Thank you guys again for showcasing my bike this week on your Facebook page. Means a lot to me 🤘🏻💯. Keep up the great work that you guys do, and have a great weekend 🤘🏻💯🤘🏻🍻
That's the best way to end a work day with a nice ride! Hopefully you make it to Sturgis one day too! You're welcome Jay!!
awesome channel, and great content! keep it up guys!
Thank you! Will do!
cool vid guys! hey Eric even though you only lost that little Kickstand cushion (Good eye Tanya) you mentioned the motormount....probably not a bad idea to change the front isolator for good measure...they take so much abuse especially from guys who ride and shift as hard as you and I do......
it was the first thing I had to replace on my evo lowrider. ✌️
Thank you! That's a great idea, definitely will need to do that!
I refused to carry tools. And my bike has left me stranded on the side of the road multiple times. The problems my bike had they weren't going to be able to be fixed on the side of the road. what did you have for a dirt bike? I had an RM 400 then KX 420
Many dirtbikes over the years! But the one I was speaking of specifically was a CR125 (long gone now). We still have a YZ 250 2 stroke though!
Looks like great ride
Another great video guys. Ride safe.👊
Thank you!
i always carry tools .maybe from bieng a shovelhead rider
It's only smart!
Love the video
Great video as always 👍 I see on your Dyna you have Thrasin Supply risers awesome are those Thrasin mid-bars ?
Thank you! Yes, Thrashin riser clamp but Biltwell bars
Did you get your pegged fixed? Before you guys headed home
Yes thank you! It was fixed in that other video, what you saw was just a flashback
Are you still thinking about selling the dyna Eric, or is it one to keep, you've done a great job on it.
As always another good video, it looks like you have a great biking community, before i go off like to say 've never seen anyone jump a speed bump before so that's a first🤣. The only tools i carry are a Puncture repair kit and mini Air compressor, there's nothing worse then having a flat in the middle of nowhere, been there got the t- shirt 😩
Honestly we would love to keep it! We'll see how it goes and thank you for the compliment!! Too funny about the speed bump, first for everything! 🤣🤣
All it takes it to be burned one time and you know what you need to carry! Thank you as always for hangin with us!
Hey Tanya another sick video!
The wife is curious how tall are you?
Thank you! 5'3
She's as tall as a bowl of oatmeal...
Did you wink at us at the end?
thats what happens when you ride a stupid SOA looking bike
🤣 real nice!
Wear gear, don't even have gloves 🤪
I have many gloves and gear.. just chose not to wear them.. great thing about my
Life is I chose how to live it the way I want 🤪
@@VPCustoms you're right, my bad 👊
