Hej, Guy! You were great, I loved to watch "allt för Sverige". Even I as a Swedish are both touched by you and got to know Sweden is also a little better. Thank you!
It's kind of rude showing Guy that book in the end. "Let me show you the real Sweden", I mean... Come ON! RUDE. The people on this show are not naive, they most certainly get it: we have dirty streets and garbage containers and the grey, depressing and rainy days in suburbs too. AS DO ALL COUNTRIES and I'm sure that the contestants saw a lot of that too, off camera. And when you come think about it: is a dirty alleyway really the essence of Sweden? As a Swede I've seen the beautiful Brösarps backar in the South, I've been stung by mosquitoes in the North, cursed the neverending rain in Gothenburg (although I've also loved it as a melancholy backdrop). I've walked among the Brahe hus ruins in Örebro and among the rauks of Gotland (and I could go on for ever like this). That is what I consider Swedish. And I don't think you have to lecture a New Yorker (or anyone for that matter) on how even a great place has it's flaws. Mr TV-host, what were you trying to convey...? Really? "The real Sweden" my eye! Btw, having lived abroad for years I can say this: Swedish cities, whether they are large or small, are generally kept very clean when compared to other places. The countryside is clean, people throw the trash away and don't just leave it on the beaches and by their camp sites, as opposed to what I've seen abroad. And let's be honest, Swedes, aren't there just a few things that would provoke a Swede more than people throwing trash on the ground...?
I agree with most of you, So typical swedish to search after something bad. I mean...that silly broadcaster showed a brickwall from a backyard in that book. Yeahhh, this is sweden! We have amazing nature and should be proud of that. It doesnt mean that we are best in the world or anything. But we are so damn afraid of being better then "lagom". The "Jantelagen" is really deep in this country as someone said here before. Anyway...I liked allt för sverige....Great and fun people who was involved.
Fan vad trist att SVT killen ska vara så negativ till Sverige. Sverige är hur vackert som helst, världens vackraste om man frågar mig. Trist ... Uselt.
@gayacresdotnet I absolutely loved the show! Just finished watching the last episode. Are all of you still keeping in touch? Do you have, like, reunions or something? Thanks for charing, Guy!
Guy, you and Brian were my favourites, so I was torn in two during the final. When ever I talk about the show and people don't really know who Guy is, I say, with no disrespect that "Guy is the gay guy with the bowtie". Then they remember you. Hope too meet you someday.
@GayAcresTV You were great Guy! This was the best show I've ever followed I believe and your. I don't know where they dug up the journalist for this interview though. He's a weird and rude person. Welcome home!
Dear Americans who watch this video. The Swedish host here does NOT represent a "true" Swede. This man is boring beyond words... He really sucks, where did SVT find him? Thanks Guy for being such a funny guy, we really enjoyed you at "Allt för Sverige" :-)
@85JTL It's a typical move for too many swedes actually. We can't be proud about having a beautiful country, no no. We have to "balance up" some things. Thats so sad :( I think some of those americans in "Allt för Sverige" were more swedish in spirit than many native swedes.
Hej Sweden
I hope that you all have enjoyed me on ALLT FOR SVERIGE!
Guy Clark

The book "the Real Sweden" is a typical SVT move. WHY, SVT. WHY !? What's the purpose???! Otherwise I really Loved the show. GO GUY!

Thanks for charing, Guy!
have your journey changed anything in your everyday life/job back in NY?...probably not alot, but fun to know if there is anything :)

Snacka om trist programvärd! Noll inlevelse och engagemang. Guy verkar dock vara en rolig prick :)

I agree with GamleErik and Mathias.
Read what they said and think about it.
It is true.
Svt mindpolices seem to have given my thoughts a ddr-welcome. A little cencorstate Politicly correct sweden. I bow for the smutz . never ever!

Det kallas ödmjukhet, vilket ger en mycket mer genuin skönhet
@GayAcresTV
We have!
@hanssonj I agree! Some swedes can't be proud of our country, so they have to dig up some crap to back up their view... Sad but true...
I'm Swedish and I feel sorry for Guy Clark who had to meet such a boring interviewer.

Dålig journalistik.
Well, you didn't visit the ghettos, which is a big part of "swedish" culture today.
