Finally, F 16s Headed To

That announcement on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Washington came on a day Norway announced it would donate six F-16s to Ukraine.
Hoping to change the course of the war, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wants the 32-member alliance to send more weapons and money, and to offer security guarantees.
Norway has said deliveries of the F-16s are planned to begin this year.
The Norwegian prime minister first announced that Norway would donate F-16s to Kyiv in August last year.
Since then, Oslo has sent two F-16s jets to Denmark to be used for training Ukrainian pilots.
F16s have been on Ukraine's wish list for a long time because of their destructive power and global availability.
Denmark has committed to donate 19 jets in total, while the Netherlands has promised to deliver 24.
Both countries have been driving forces behind an international coalition to supply Ukraine with the fighter jet.
But a delay in their supplies has given Russia the time to prepare defences to try to nullify the impact of F-16s. And Ukraine has had to survive with a depleted air force which is a fraction of the size and sophistication of the enemy's.
The targets will become more valuable when the aircraft, pilots and maintenance teams arrive. This is likely to force Ukraine to install missile defences to protect them, even though it is short of both air defence systems and ammunition.
