Today we stretch the swingarm of our 2007 Harley Davidson Sportster 1200. We use a donor swingarm and make 2 cuts to stretch it 3 inches over stock length in order to make clearance for our rear 26" wheel. Will it work? Watch the video to find out!

great vid i like how you explained the width of the rotors, axles sizes n bearings most vids just assemble n everything is perfect
Working on the same type project, I like what you did with your board racer. Awesome!
Thank you! Good luck with your build. 🤙🏻
Can you buy a stretched out swing arm kit as opposed to cutting and welding? ya did a great job and able to keep it stock like that was a great idea but not sure i trust myself welding a key joint on my bike
I think I looked at the time and there wasn’t anything available as a bolt on. If you don’t trust your own welding you could always reach out to a welding company. Would likely charge a couple hundred bucks and give you that peace of mind.
@@SignMeUpDesigns yea $100 probably a lot cheaper then a kit and you can use your same hardware and axel 🍻
@@SignMeUpDesigns thanx for gettin back good advice i think a mig welder would be better then a tig for that kinda job better to outsource
Skinny mountain bike tires
Almost. About 4x as wide.
how much did you add to the stock swing arm to get the 26inch wheels to fit? besides the chain kit what parts, spacers etc. did you need to get to make this fit? I've been wanting to do this for years
3” stretch. Go back and watch all of the videos in the build series. I don’t know the exact parts list but you can probably piece it together by watching the videos.
So how’s the fender look, did u have to stretch the upper rear frame aswell?
Watch the rest of the build series videos. Fender looks great and I actually ended up chopping the rear fender struts.
Hey man what year model sporty ya got there. I have a 2016 xl1200c with the same color scheme. Would love to go duel big wheel, i just dont know have you guys know and understand all the measurements before purchases. I would loose my mind.
This one is a 2007 XL low 1200. To my knowledge all sporty swingarms are almost identical, with the exception of the axle. I used a 2003 swingarm I found used on eBay for around $35. I welded the axle portion of the original to the pivot section of the 03. If you rewatch the video I explain how I did it with the measurements. Don’t be scared! Worst case you buy another used swingarm if you botch the stretch.
@@SignMeUpDesigns yeah i saw the one you used, actually a pretty cheap deal if it goes south.
I can't find these wheels anywhere, they only have the straight laced wheels on ebay now
I can’t either. At least not these exact ones with the black rim and hub. I can find the full chrome wheels tho.
@@SignMeUpDesigns i just seen those too, I'm getting those ones
Flux or mig?
Mig. I threw all of my flux wire in the garbage. I now have a tig welder too which would have been the way to go for this swingarm.
Stop losing footage or letting it get corrupted. Include your Instagram in the description. What direction do you think you are going with the tracker build? You have stretched it out and put 26" on it.
Build is done now, the last video was just uploaded today. This is only 1 video of 7. As for the footage...”stop letting it get
corrupted”... 🤷♂️ Not really sure what I can do there. It was lost due to the corruption, not my own negligence. It’s apparently a huge issue with GoPro Hero 7’s. Either way, thanks for tuning in and check out the finished product!
Please the music is terrible
Valuable input. 👍
