I just finished watching this on TBN and I am so glad I found it on YT! We never know when God is going to use someone to deliver a word for us (me). See I thank God for the people who he delivers that has actually been through some things. See it's only after you have gone through some things, that you have a TRUE testimony! If you've not been though anything who are you going to help with your testimony?
Look at the God in the man, and not the mans past! God will use who ever he wants!
It doesn't matter who is teaching him, what matters is he is trying, he has acknowldeged that he's had faults and he has acknowledged that he's not perfect...But each and every single one of us are a work in progress and as long as God knows his heart, who are we to judge?
"For I delivered to you as of FIRST IMPORTANCE what I also received: that Christ DIED FOR OUR SINS in accordance with the Scriptures, that He was BURIED, that he was RAISED on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,

That is what's MOST IMPORTANT! EVERYTHING ELSE SHOULD BE A DISTANT SECOND!
Pray for Steve Harvey that God open His eyes to the reality of who Christ is.

If only Steve had asked Jakes to show him WHERE that was IN THE BIBLE...
Thanks for uploading!! He has definitely imparted some truths into my life.
I'm not a big fan of Steve's earlier works, but I really admire him for letting God work through him. I love his "don't trip" DVD, and I see his faith growing. I think most people who condemn him are just upset that they don't have what he does, be it material or anything else. They may cite doctrine clashes, but the bottom line is jealousy.

@NotYourTypicalNegro I like your reference to your elementary school that taught you about the word 'metaphor' I wish I had that experience at such a young age. You're right, that next level is never explained. In my opinion it is a way of allowing you, the audience to think that "going to the next level" is a way to rise up from whatever down or depressing situation you feel that you are in. It just does not tell you how to do it exactly, but it could set you in a path to find out how.
Tell them again!!! Apparently they don't read the Bible! The Bible says you should hide the word in your HEART! Steve has the word in his heart! Just because he didn't quote your favorite scripture, does not mean God didn't touch him! What kind of Christian are you calling yourself? How can you down play God in Steve Harvey's life? The Bible states that we all have sinned and come short of His glory! That doesn't mean that we don't deserve it,that just means we have to look to God! You need God!

@barryasus, when I was in elementary school, I learned that a 'metaphor' is a figure of speech which shows show how two things normally not alike are similar. With that, I would like to know what "the next level" and "breaking through the glass ceiling" is being compared to. Steve Harvey doesn't make that clear. He simply make some abstract references.
In the modern American church today, there is a lot of talk about "going to the next level". But nobody ever explains what that is.
@NotYourTypicalNegro I have to agree with you in a sense for sure because I have read the Bible myself and I have not found it either. However, I think that somewhere in the Bible there is a situation tantamount to breaking through the glass ceiling and getting cut along the way and shedding the old for the new. In this sense the statement he made "In order to go to the next level, to the next dimension, you have to break through the glass ceiling..." would be a metaphor in my opinion.
@Kosm2000 You are absolutely correct. When Steve started out in comedy, we didnt hear this info coming from him. There is a change that we can see in this man but we want to keep him in a box. We were sinners saved by grace. What if God said to all of us that I will never allow you to grow in my love. What you have done I can never forgive or forget. Alot of what he speaks about is key to change.
Thanks for posting this. It is another example of how "Christian" TV, or some preachers put a celebrity (musician, big business-type, ex-con, etc.) in front of an audience to essentially sell this person's books, tapes, etc. or be some sort of donation pull or marketing ploy. The preacher (or tv guy) in this case essentially PIMPS the celebrity. Unfortunately, the celebrity is not equipped to be in front of an audience let alone preach the gospel. Sad, just sad.

There biggest sin is they think they are God! If they knew the bible so well then the number one script they would remember is Judge NOT unless ye be judge!

The problem with the body of Christ is all the christian critics. Jesus was perfect and he was talked about. Everytime a Preacher converse or impart wisdom it doesn't have to be scriptural. I heard him say some scriptures he learned inpart. He also said different Pastors taught him wisdom is different situations. People can you just be a blessing. And not be Seargant of Arms of every conversation you hear, He said he was a Key Note speaker and now you have him preaching.
He's got a lot to learn. They didnt teach him how to get ppl to sow a seed on the word yet... He's teachable though so I am sure he will pick it up soon.

Please stop judging this man. He is a baby in Christ. He is learning and he is changing just like the rest of us are. This man has done wrong, but so has everyone else. That is why Jesus died for us. No man, but Jesus, is perfect. Even when we follow Jesus and follow him to the T, we will fall short no matter what simply because we are human, but He is a loving God and it is his grace and mercy that is saving us all. Don't judge this man on his past
I think he said he was trying to do that with all the lessons his mom gave him.
The more I listen to Steve's Morning Show, the more I see hypocrisy or Biblical ignorance or a combination of both. One TBN he's the "Christian" struggling to follow Christ. On his radio show he claims to be a Christian, but yet has stated clearly he is "pro-choice" (i.e. pro abortion essentially), and I have heard him clearly make comments in support of gay "marriage." Something is wrong with this picture. Either he needs to be truly Christian, or he needs to stop playing both sides.
For what ever reason I thought that "Saved People" would be a bit less judgmental concerning someone who has not always lived a life according to the ways of church folks! We are so easy to pass judgement on someone b/c they are not bible scholars. Let the man continue to grow in Christ and stop acting as if you were all manger born and have never made a mistake! Romans 3:23 : for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God! Just a reminder for those of us who have forgotten!

Another question: In your efforts to discredit "Bishop" Eddie Long, do you feel that there are levels to sin?
( This is not about SALVATION!) The people who STEVE was speaking to are (CHRISTIANS/CHURCH FOLK) and did not need Acts 2:38! They already know who Jesus is, and have a relationship with him! This was totally about EXHORTATION & EDIFICATION! PERIOD! It has been taken totally out of context.
Secondly, only if we could create a "TMZ" for all who decides to quote all of the scriptures for condemnation purposes, many would become "KNOWN CONVICTED FELONS" and would have to purge themselves.
@Kosm2000, a person who is interested in truth will take these claims Steve Harvey made and study to determine if what he says is true:
-If you are a Christian, you should have material gain to prove it.
-'Haters' validate the lifestyle and choices of the Christian.
-Any person -- saved or not -- can succeed by taking portions of scripture and 'applying them.
-To get to the 'next dimension' you must break through a 'glass ceiling.
You will see that NONE of this is found ANYWHERE in scripture.
I feel sorry for this man. Hes in the hands of false prophets n wolves n sheeps clothing. He will never know what true salvation is if he stay yoked up with them. The church needs to WAKE UP!!!!!!!! Where is our disernment?!!

Paul here is talking about "overseers," but how much more does this apply to preachers?
I don't see half as much wrong with what Steve Harvey said in this sermon as I see wrong with the people who allowed him to go up, or the people who mindlessly cheer him on.
Reminds me of a sermon by Tim Conway. "Bad Preaching Gets Applause - Good Preaching Gets Questions."
@3apostlemattiabolton Who is Steve Harvey talking to? The audience of Praise the Lord. How long do you need to practice addition...eventually it is is OK to move on to Algebra, geometry... The Church has been talking about salvation for generations to say "when I get to Heaven." Steve is bringing truth that heaven is here. Jesus paved the way. If Israel could walk blessed under the Old Covenant, why shouldn't I walk blessed under the new and better covenant through Jesus Christ?
@Osborne85, virtually all of the 'wisdom' Christ imparted was based upon what was written. Several times in scripture, he is seen referring to what The Law, The Prophets, and The Psalms said concerning Himself and The Kingdom of God.
As this relates to Steve Harvey, he is not imparting wisdom from God. Rather, he is simply retelling what he learned from TD Jakes, Kenneth Ulmer, and Joel Osteen. And last time I checked, they were not deity.
@NotYourTypicalNegro just remeber the begining when u first started asking questions... dont forget where u first started.... its obvious steve is a real baby christian and its awsome! its wat we call an analogy! the bible is meant for life application, and thats how hes using it... some people prefer dates, places, and systematic teaching but the holy spirit works with each individual different. show me where it says in the bible to criticize baby christians
@NotYourTypicalNegro I think Steve was referring to his past, meaning he did some bad things in the past, but that was the person he was at the time...so Steve is ok with that because being that person made him who he is today....That's what I got out of it.

Doesn't it seem like maybe breaking through the "breaking through the glass ceiling" comment may be a play on words? Maybe refering to the sea of glass in Revelation.
"If you follow the Lord, you ought to have something to show for it." So, Peter, Paul, the Desert Fathers, Boenhoffer, Kolbe, Mother Teresa, Oscar Romero, and the lesser known Civil Rights workers must not have been good Christians? They died with hardly anything. Harvey speaks well for motivation and success in society. But, there is something more important.
Does he know he wrote a book about himself and what men not to get involve with? He thinks money is the answer to what women should look for in a man. If he is the example of a good man I will pass on that one. A woman that is self sufficient is the key, professionally and spiritually. It is evident all these women has dust on their Bibles. They will read his book and won't read the Bible. Amazing !!!!!!!!

@MannyManFresh7, there's more to the bible than Acts 2:38, so I don't quite know what you're talking about there. The prophets and Christ Himself did quite a bit of preaching before the events of Acts 2.
@NotYourTypicalNegro T. D. Jakes is his pastor! You would know that if you actually listen to Steve! He has said it on more than one occasion that his mentor and pastor is Bishop T D Jakes.
He found wordly success outside of serving God so why should Christians take his advice?

What do you expect from a new convert who look to T.D Jakes and Joel Osteen? T.D Jakes and Joel Osteen are motivational speakers who use the Bible as a self-help book like other “seeker-sensitive” churches do ... they won't preach the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. Their teachings are for people who don't want to hear the truth, they just go to these churches to be entertained, get emotionally hyped, and hear what they want to hear but not what they need to hear. That's not preaching.

He omits key lessons:1)Most significant and concerning is the fact that someone scho oling believers does not teach from the Word of God let along even have a Bible open with him 2)Promised blessing

obeying Him in areas His Spirit makes known to us. Yes God has and will bless because of His unconditional love for us but Steve is misleading many! I plead with believers to stop buying into beaytiful speech and return to loving God...studying His Word for yourself!

I stopped watching tbn many years ago! It seems the teachers rightly dividing the Word cannot afford to be on television! We all must study so we r not deceived by all these false teachers including Steve!
