    I watched one of your videos last night ,they’re great, I’m a fabricater welder/ mechanic and I love doing this work too,I noticed in the comments about a guy saying you could buy it cheaper and you don’t value your time , well I’ve had those same remarks made to me , a lot of our enjoyment is in the accomplishment of a job well done and even knowing we can do it ourselves ,it’s not always about the money or time .Keep on doing what you do ,I’ve subscribed . Oh by the way I just purchased a mini excavator yesterday , will probably doing a lot of the things you’ve done, I don’t have as much equipment as you to work with but I’ve built a lot of neat things over the years ,I love the challenge .

      Yep, your exactly right, i think the same way as you.
      Sometimes i just like the challenge to see if i can do it, some times its to save me money or that i need the item right away.
      Some guys are just jealous that we are cool and can make awesome things..lol
      The thing that picks my behind are the guys who think im rich because of all the tools i have. Well, ive been building things since i was a kid and have been accumulating tools for over 35 years. None of them are big brand name, and the expensive ones i financed. Its all about priorities i guess..lol
      Thanks for subscribing and commenting, check out my newer videos, they are better than the old stuff..lol

    I'm a bit late to the game. Nice work. Silly question about the plasma cutter hose/cable couldn't you upgrade it with aftermarket version of your choice or add a wrap/sleeve to offers some protection? I know I've seen that done with tig torches and their leads.

    Great video as usual Ron. You should consider selling some parts / kits. Thanks

      I was thinking i may do that, i just want to make sure things are gonna work as they should first.
      Trying to buy buckets and accessories here in western canada is a pain in the butt, thats why i make my own stuff.

    Great video. A question, do you have to make a template out of wood or could you do it out of paper or cardboard too?

    • @FabbinAdventures
      @FabbinAdventures  10 днів тому

      I could have done it out of paper, it would still have worked

      @@FabbinAdventures Thanx for the answer, i was just curious if there was something i missed.

    • @FabbinAdventures
      @FabbinAdventures  10 днів тому

      @soulis1000 nope, you could just trace it to paper, enlarge like i did, then trace it with the arcdroid, or cut it out by hand. Its that simple.

    Great workmanship, When you were welding on the bucket as it was attached to the Excavator did you unhook the battery terminals or just make sure you have a nice clean grounding surface?

      No i didnt unhook the battery, the metal is basically new and the ground is not far from where i was welding, so i was not concerned.

      Nice!, i plan to build a ripper, rake, possibly a grapple and maybe a narrow trenching bucket yet.
      Yeah, its surprising how good these little plasmas work!

      I have card board patterns for a ripper and rake and the grapple maybe I could send a copy of them to you if your interested the grapple took quite a bit of thinking to get the linkages right

    Great video. Maybe sell the brackets or whatever they are called that you weld to the bucket and attach to the boom?

    • @FabbinAdventures
      @FabbinAdventures  8 місяців тому

      I may just do that!

    Hey Ron, I'm new to your channel, i own a similar machine and I'm trying to make my own brackets, would you be so kind to tell me the brand of that robotic arm that you used to trace and plasma cut the metal sheet? Thanks in advance, btw great videos !

      Yeah you bet man, its called "Arcdroid" very simple to learn to run and works quite well.

    It may be lightweight but it is still a reasonable tool for some gravel and ground work for levelling etc.

    • @FabbinAdventures
      @FabbinAdventures  8 місяців тому

      Yeah, i thinks so. I was digging hard at some ice and packed snow, enough that i was dragging the excavator side ways. I think it will stand up to normal usage.
      Thanks for watching and commenting!

      I have quite similar machine...its called Kingway and its more squared but its the same weight I guess about a ton. I am also doing few attachments by myself like the hook for tree roots etc. But this bucket seems really solid!@@FabbinAdventures

    • @FabbinAdventures
      @FabbinAdventures  8 місяців тому

      @inseiin yeah, i worked it pretty hard on ice and frozen hard packed sniw and it held up great.
      I'll be fabbing up a ripper and rake pretty soon as we have some bushes to remove once the ground thaws.
