As a follow-up. Mine just came in the mail and from just playing with it in the backyard it's awesome. Mine has a nice round beam with no inclusions. Super brite and easy to switch from one setting to another. Way better than I'd hoped for. Thanks for the great review.
In case anyone reads this: It seems that the first iteration or "variant" of the C3 had an unpleasing beam pattern. I think they fixed it rather fast, though. Mine has a very pleasing round beam pattern. I don't know that there is any way to tell this first batch of lights apart from the improved version; but every new flashlight you can buy should long be the fixed version.
While on, do you have to wait a few seconds for mode memory to activate? Or is it instant; if it's turned on for a second and turn it off, will it turn back on at the last brightness used? Thanks!

The way it was described in the video is what is commonly known as a reverse clickie in flashlight circles. That means that you have to press the button all the way down until it locks in place to turn it on. You can then press the button lightly without clicking it again to interrupt the power (turn it off) which will cause it to change modes/output levels. This type of operation is not desirable in a flashlight used in conjunction with a firearm. I also do not want it in any flashlight I own.

Good review. The Wuben C3. What a strange beam. It has all kind of artefacts. Ok, the throw is good enough but that beam. I see a price of €26.80, nice price but for that money there are lights with better beams.

I think the light is made in China but is also being marketed to Japan, reason why the language written all over the manual. I also saw somewhere in facebook that the box is different compared to the ones directed at chinese consumers, although I may be wrong....

hi, quick question, do you experience flickering light showing on video while recording using this wuben c3?
Not to my eyes, I can only sense flicker with my eyes when using Xanes flashlights or similar quality
That's usually due to the frame rate if you're able to change your FPS it will usually stop doing that.
