Im an over the road trucker for 33 years. I have played this album by far more that anything.... I absolutely love this band.... many many miles truckin to this..... turn it up!
Holy shit! This blew me away....never have I heard this song live, and in all honesty, this was my favorite track on the "Twice Shy" album. Thanks for sharing!! 👊🏻
Still my favorite band (with Jack). Love to see this! I have seen them more often than not over the years and never seen them perform this live. What a treat!!!
One of their best was “Hiway Nights”,But they had so many amazing songs..Damn, did this guy ever sound bad live??! Great White was such a kick ass band back in those days..R.I.P. Jack.. I I am thankful I got to see them once in ‘89 for the Twice Shy tour in an arena, then 3 other times around ‘94 through ‘98 at a small club by my house.. Right in the front..Once with Teddy Cook playing bass..Was around the time “Sail Away” released..
I listen any kind of music but I grew up with metal and hard rock. I think this song is one of the best I ever heard in my entire life. Unfortunately, there are no video versions, and this is one of the few, so thanks!
No & Yes. It’s as basic as it gets. Homie is running 1/8 notes. ...... for the ENTIRE SONG! I wouldn’t consider myself a drummer even tho I can play some. But!, even if I could keep on tempo and hold it together (which I absolutely canNOT..), I’m certain either I’d seize up with leg cramps in both legs, or they’d probably both fall off..either way I’d be laying on the floor in pain while trying to laugh about it. “When you can walk the rice paper and leave. I trace.. it will be time for you to go.” ~Kung Fu, Master to Grasshopper Same.. when & if you can play this song all the way through cleanly.. you have your double kick chops and then some.
I know you all was discussing drums but people don’t realize how good the band really is. My son plays guitar and he says some of Kendall ( Great White)is one of the hardest to play . Stuff like AC/DC , poison , Guns n Roses is easy. There cover of Zeppelin proves how good they are.
When I was young, yeah, we all liked Motley Crue and Poison and such, be we all had our personal favorites too and Great White was mine. Very rarely do you see a band where every member is the best at what they do. They come on like a freight train when they go live. None of that bullshit having the audience sing along and "help us out." An extra plus that they have Michael Lardie with them because without him, much of the guitar you hear on the album wouldn't be heard live since it's dubbed over. He fills it in and does a lot of the singing. And I've always considered Audie Desbrow to be one of the best drummers ever.
Speak for yourself about the poison thing. And the audience does sing along and some of their shows. So I guess you have not seen them. And it's usually on the Once Bitten Twice Shy tune
Thanks for posting 👍🏻one of the best bands ever. My favorite!! This has to be late 92 to 95 . Looks like Teddy Cook on bass .probably psycho city tour.
Yep, i was thinking Psycho City tour myself...i saw them on that tour at a sold out CLUB show at a place that no longer exists, JR's Fastlane which was in W. Warwick R.I., i think it was 1993 ish?.....But man!!! it was packed and was a multi level club and Jack even commented, which i remember when he opened the show that it looked like a Prison Cell Block!!!! hahahaaa!!! great memories man!!!!
Saw Great White back in 1992, PNE Coliseum, Vancouver, BC. They opened for KISS and both bands were awesome. This is likely 1995 era- sounds and looks about right. Grunge was the trend, but great bands like Great White could still get 2000 to 8000 people at a concert. Some of the best concerts, actually.
This song has always been on my double bass workout playlist (for endurance). I'm finally in a band that is willing to do it! I'll try and get a recording of it and upload. Can't wait to thump it out!
This is when they were awesome !
Man being this song was only played live twice I didn’t think I’d ever come across a love version of it
Great white. Definitely one of the BEST BANDS OF ALL TIME
Im an over the road trucker for 33 years. I have played this album by far more that anything....
I absolutely love this band.... many many miles truckin to this..... turn it up!
greatest frontman ever
Damn with Teddy Cook. Always loved that double bass intro
one of their best songs imo. most underrated group ever too
Our beloved JACK IS STILL IN TACT!! much respect Jack Russell and you're greAt white!❤️
Amazing band in their prime and the highlight was always Jacks voice live. The guy simply was just perfection
I love Great White. I saw a lot of shows in that era and they were one of the best. Jack Russell may be the best voice and frontman from that era.
Wow..... super cool.... I still dig Great White.....
Holy shit! This blew me away....never have I heard this song live, and in all honesty, this was my favorite track on the "Twice Shy" album. Thanks for sharing!! 👊🏻
Mark kendal is a awesome guitarist
But the audio is low to hear well.
Still my favorite band (with Jack). Love to see this! I have seen them more often than not over the years and never seen them perform this live. What a treat!!!
I know it’s not possible but I’d pay 10 grand to see that concert! Best live band ever!
These guys were so underrated. Omg 😳

Can you show me a video of the double bass work? I'm impressed by the difficult of this song, i'm a drummer but i can't do it.
@@silversteel2611 I was a drummer too, and I agree with you...very challenging!
