Helpful video. Thanks for posting. Is that how you explain the lighting sequence for a cold start in the manual? I'm wondering if it's the same procedure for the NSPS 2020 test since I believed most of manufacturers recommends a top lit method to minimize startup emissions. Thanks.

I was wondering, but what I'd really like to know more: Where's the instructional video on the CI2700 and the accompanying digital monitor? I'm also going to point out, though I've emailed about it, that there are several broken links on your website. In addition to that, when I went to register my product today, it gave me the same error page as the broken links!

I wonder if those gloves & thermo-probe still come with the stove.

2 errors in this video. I've been burning a catalyst stove for 20 years so I have alot of experience with burning wood. 1) 1 to 2 inches of ash left in the firebox is way too much. Your stove will not burn as hot or efficiently with this much ash. Clean it right out except for a thin layer for a little insulation of the bottom of the stove. 2) laying your logs east/west gives much longer burns than north/south. This is a much understood fact by nearly all wood burners. The reason is simple. The air comes in from the front of the stove. Placing your logs east/west protects most of the wood from the air.

He also talks about stage 3 (forearm-size logs ) to stage four (leg-size logs), but never shows stage four. I feel like he has the forearm-size logs and leg-size logs confused in the end. Also, a top-down method would work much better with less hassle for building the bed of coals before loading biggest pieces for the overnight burn.
