He got that dog in him. This gameplay showcase will give you an idea of how the preset AC STEEL HAZE plays in Armored Core VI PvE, through a mixture of missions and Arena battles.
    TIMESTAMPS:
00:00 - Defend the Old Spaceport
    03:38 - Arena: 15/C Sulla - ENTANGLE
04:50 - Eliminate the Enforcement Squads
    08:40 - Arena: β-2 51-013 BE - Corporation AC
    10:19 - Intercept the Redguns
    17:45 - Arena: 06/A V.II Snail - OPEN FAITH
19:17 - Bring Down the Xylem
STEEL HAZE is the AC of V.IV Rusty, commander of the Vespers fourth squadron. Scouted by the Schneider Corporation, Rusty has made the ranks of the Vespers in record time thanks to his incredible skill and determination. However, his refusal of Arquebus energy weapons and easy-going attitude has earned him the distrust and derision of some of his Vesper comrades. Not to mention, his past is shrouded in mystery...
The preset AC STEEL HAZE shown in the video is unlocked by defeating 09/B Rusty in the Arena.
My opinion of STEEL HAZE is... mixed. The Nachtreiher frame is incredibly manoeuvrable, and the smart addition of the Alula boosters only accentuate this. This mobility is key to winning your battles alongside the 774LS, one of the most powerful melee weapons in the game - which combos beautifully with the Assault Armor expansion. But that's where the good times stop. Rusty's true loyalty to his Rubiconian origins is represented through his BAWS equipment, which are severely lackluster: there are like three different Arquebus generaters better than the Hokushi, while the Sampu burst gun doesn't gel well with the midrange Ransetsu rifle and plasma missiles, especially considering its limited ammo supply. Thus it becomes difficult to build up enemy stagger and maintain your energy; both things a lightweight build wants to do.
In conclusion, STEEL HAZE has incredible highs, such as melting a final boss in seconds, and incredible lows, such as running out of ammo when facing down the LIGER TAIL. A good mech, but not for beginners.
    | This is by no means a "guide" to show you how to play the AC; I'm sure there are far better players than me who can do more with these mechs. I just want to show off some of the cool mechs in the style of / @bansheent-d Armored Core For Answer videos.

Very strong preset, especially since the Sampu, Hokushi, and plasma missiles got buffed.

I recently discovered a way to find out thanks to @reaty05:
Make sure you've equipped the Preset AC Data. Go to the Paint tab and when it asks whether you want to "remove edit lock" say "yes". Then, back out without saving. Then head back in and the paintjob from the AC preset will be saved!
I'll be using this trick to showcase ACs in future without using the AC Data tab.

How do you do the force field thing?

That is the "Assault Armor" Core Expansion, which can be unlocked in the OS Tuning tab using OST chips earned from the Arena. When equipped in the core expansion slot, pressing L3 + Triangle/Y will trigger it ( I don't know the command on PC). You can also change it in the options to trigger on L3 + R3.
