Grimlock getting a CHUG figure that rivals most masterpieces is absolutely wild. I still can’t believe such a heavy hitter got a standard release instead of being banished to some obscure size class you can’t find on store shelves. Studio Series Grimlock may not have been the best but I can absolutely see him being the crown jewel of a lot of collections.
1:32 I disagree, the war for cybertron Grimlock design may not be perfect, but it's still pretty badass overall. From the red details that make it look like he has fire coursing through him, to the giant sword and shield that make him a powerhouse, the sharp details, the aggressive look, it's all amazing! Also Planet X Vulcun is extremely well done even if you don't like the design.
It looks bloated like a corpse dredged up from the river too me as opposed to strong. The problem is that it wouldn't even do well here. Like it's inaccurate, and if I think it's so ugly it hurts, then it's not going to get looks cool, so even if it aced the other categories it'd be doomed to a low position no matter what.
@@PerspectiveEnd Use as much word salad as you want but this list is incomplete when you didn't even include Planet X Vulcun. That guy is as perfect of a toy based on a game design as it can get.
Seeing the 86 Grimlock beat out so many masterpiece scale figures makes me so happy as that figure is one of the 3 figures to make me smile when opening it and just staring at it's glory. Merry Christmas and congrats on 10k, you've deserved it
I love that Grimlock figure that just rockets off. "Me Grimlock must go now. Me Grimlock's people need him." Cliffjumper has been demoted to joint tolerance tester. A sad fate. God tier review. Congrats on 10k.
Thank you very much! I was very proud of this. And that's the second time I've made the PotP Grimlock Rocket joke, and the first time I did it I said "I Must Go."
One day Perspective's Grimlock collection will be as well-known and prolific as Jobby's Optimus Prime collection or Thew's Skywarp collection. Congrats on the 10k milestone! I really enjoyed this much longer video, which makes me wish you did these more often, even if it would probably sacrifice consistent uploads.
The fact that there's a CHUG figure, which the only other figures of the character that it loses to are 2 3rd party figures and an upgraded version of itself is astounding. Chug really has come a long way since the original generations.
Odd, my dad's masterpiece grimlock is... Actually good, at least, it isn't falling apart, or rusty, or loose, and the lightup fist still works, and i love it.
This is masterpiece! Well done man! I really glad that you create some thing that you want long time. I am really glad that you have created what you have planned for a long time. Hope someday I can't something like this for my channel.
This truly feels like a milestone. Congrats on reaching 10k man, that is awesome. I'm super glad that 86 Grimlock got such a high spot on the listing because I truly feel he is the definitive Grimlock for most people, myself included. Granted, everything you said does hold up with it being a CHUG figure and all, but damn if it ain't a fuckin home run in spite of that. Lookin forward to seeing more, Merry Christmas dude!
Thank you so much proud to have done something this major for it. He's definitely the Definitive Grimlock if you don't want to spend an arm and a leg, and even then he's not far behind. Merry Christmas to you as well.
Wild that you’re at 10k, honestly really happy for you my guy!! Couldn’t be more proud of a reviewer glow up ! Happy holidays, and here’s to another 10k!
Thank you very much. I remember when I first came out as a Channel, and people kept saying "How are you so unknown?" So it's gratifying to become even a little known.
I am glad Iron Factory has found their niche. The samurai style they've chosen works best for their design strengths. I went with the comic deco for my NA Grimlock admittedly. I don't know how they do it, but NewAge's metallic paint is among the most durable and natural feeling of the bunch.
I remember the day that I saw the Iron Factory Grimlock I said, "I don't care what, or who stops me. This figure will be mine." And now mine should be in by January. It even got me into the other figures in the line; I definitely spent way more than I should have on the Lio Convoy and it is really good. I'll pick up the Ironhide and Ratchet when they are released. Anyway, congrats on 10k and I even though you can die happy I hope you don't get hit by a car.
I think the giant shoulders are like that because they form the thighs or calves or some part of the leg, so they likely think they would look good in leg form
11:31 was a huge throwback, glad the explosion sound was not as loud this time though, the previous one nearly blew my ears out. Anyways, Merry Christmas! Got my hands on the Lego Optimus Prime as a gift from my parents, and while I know you may not like model building, I find it very enjoyable. Great fun, more as a novelty, and not as a fully fleshed-out figure. To anyone who sees this and was on the fence about him, if you like Lego, you'll LOVE him
Im glad for this man's content, isn't just screaming, genuinely funny, swears but not to much, cares about his community, reads comments, and I'm grateful that 86 grimlock is the biggest leader we've gotten in a hot minute
Well he's not the Biggest, but he's Among the Biggest right there with the other 86 Dinos, and yes that is so nice. They've done what they should have always done.
Its incredible how many Grimlock figures there are, especially considering the T-rex has been extinct for such a long time. lol Thank you for sharing this PerspectiveEnd! Keep on being amazing.
@@PerspectiveEnd Not to mention the worst ones of all, Energon and Authentics. I have the Authentics Bravo Grimlock, and if you have no desire to see a crappy Grimlock figure, do not lay your eyes on the Authentics Bravo Grimlock.
I'm glad you like it more than I do, doing that transformation on Camera was hell, those parts feel off so many times. And I didn't realize that. So that's why it looked that way, but then the head is wrong because it should have the Robo Teeth.
Don't worry, Toys R Us is pretty much dead in Canada as well (in my opinion). Deluxe cost $35 Canadian everywhere, but at toys r us, their 45, voyagers go from 45 to 60, and leaders go from 75 to 90. And Rog is a whopping 50 dollars when the og cog costs only 20.
I’d say it’s a fair ranking overall and congrats on a very well deserved 10k. Also, I left a comment saying line art accuracy is ugly and you disagreed saying you just made the design out to be bad. If you think about which figure is most line art accurate, it’s far and away the newage. I think that’s part of what makes it look so awkward lol
Thank you so much! But the proportions didn't look that awkward in the show, yes it's the most accurate, but I think they did something wrong with the Gold part of his torso. That parts just tying everything together wrong.
@@PerspectiveEnd yeah that’s a fair analysis but I think the toon accuracy might play a part. Also, go enjoy your break no need to respond to comments like mine.
Man as someone who can't afford third party and as someone whos interest in the transformers brand was nearly killed by the prime wars trilogy and the last knight, the ss86 dinobots are a massive event for me, especially since the last g1 styled version of the Dinobots were the power of the primes set which were just... well prime wars trilogy in all its worst. It's like why kingdom galvatron meant so much. Fantastic video man
Thank you very much. And yeah they are such a MONUMENTAL upgrade to every Dinobot Hasbro ever produced before now it's crazy. They legit compete with much Larger much more expensive third party figures, and it's insane.
Personally I love FOC grimlocks design and think that the shoulders size works with how the rest of him looks but I do agree that just placing the large shoulders on literary every other figure is a bad idea Just because they were fine on one design doesn’t mean they’ll work on every grimlock
I'll admit, I was expecting the 86 Grimlock to come out on top. Compared to Gigapower though, yeah I can see why Giga's the superior one. Still, as a dinobot fan, I'm not complaining at all. Any figure that does Grimlock justice is an automatic win in my book. Also Merry Christmas Perspective! I'm really excited to tell you about what gift I got this year: Commander Class Sky Lynx! At first, the only G1 figures I wanted were the Dinobots. But the prospect of a space shuttle turned dragon-bird creature really sold me. And boy, he's even bigger and better than I originally thought. Easily the best figure I have so far and overall best Christmas gift yet! 🎄
And he got both Number 2 and number 4, and if you don't count the Customized version at all, then it's Number 3 at worst. Merry Christmas to you as well. I'm glad you are loving Skylynx so much. He's a really cool figure.
Honestly, I find it really funny that you’re doing grimlock on Christmas when I’ve been sharing the Deviljho Christmas meme with pals. Also, christened my return to collecting TF a couple days ago with the SG Ultra Magnus. It’s a deeply flawed figure that I gave a gnarly stress mark on the shoulder peg-hole because the missile’s pegs were made too big by paint. Still love it in spite of its flaws, especially considering the TF toys I grew up with had more gimmicks than joints (Old armada toys are scuffed). Already ordered Toyhax labels for it and I plan to go all out with upgrades and gap-fillers. I wish there were more Delta Magnus toys so I could make a shrine to it, like Thew’s Skywarp Closet.
@@PerspectiveEnd It could have been worse. I could have gotten SG Starscream, who's based on a fantastic mold...and then screamed in despair as it yellowed in the box with no known fix.
hi jamal here thanks so much for the good vids and good reccomendations dude! happy 10k ur vids rlly helped me when i was having hard times so thanks perspective!!!
I think the new age grimmy is so uncanny because of how slim he is. His entire proportions match that of a generic G1 transformer to that of a massive brute like Grimlock
Wow. This channel is just… perfect. This video made me lose my shit even though I knew it was happening. Most of my gifts didn’t come on Christmas but it doesn’t matter. Thank you my lord.
They really were just using ball joints on limbs on masterpieces back then huh. Well, regardless of that certified Takara L, congrats on 10k, and Merry Christmas from the Land Down Under.
Ok I get that potp grimlock sucks but imagine this: Your 9 on Christmas Day and you open a giant red box to be greeted by all 6 potp Dinobots. Wonderful memory
You left a piece out! The deluxe Grimlock from the Classics line. He’s not great but he was my only Grimlock for a long time. He’s a little bit weird because, unlike most Grimlocks, his robot mode legs are actually made up of the beast mode head and chest. He’s definitely not anybody’s favorite Grimlock because he’s such an odd little figure but that’s why I love him!
Personally, it’s always been a gripe for me that a lot of companies make Grimlock’s dino hands silver robot claws instead of slender white glove hands.
Merry Christmas and Wow! That's a lot of Grimlock figures you got there PersepectiveEnd. A Dinobot Island full of them. Great job on this "What's The Best" video on the leader of the Dinobots, Grimlock. I only have three Grimlocks. Studio Series AOE, SS86, and Combiner Wars. The Generations Selects version that came with the other Dinobots, repainted in more G1 cartoon colors, to combine into Volcanicus. And their upgrade kits for each of the three. -SS AOE Grimlock: So heavy metal. Like his barbaric robot mode as much as his beast of a T-rex mode. -SS86 Grimlock: As it's G1 from head to toe in both robot and T-rex mode. -CWGS Grimlock: For the combiner gimmick. As Volcanicus is an interesting design. I don't have them out to play. So any QCs they have isn't a bother to me, as they will remain in their boxes. Seal and stored with the rest of my Transformers collection.
I don't know the AOE one is a barbarian so much as it is a Samurai. 86 Captures the Vibe as best as possible. Volcanicus can be interesting with upgrade kits.
I can see how much you've worked on this video, sorry I missed it before! Grimlock is one of my favorite characters, so it's good to know my 86 Grimlock is one of the best figures I could ever have. Amazing work as always! (Also, POTP Grimlock is one of my favorites due to the sheer fact you can flip the head down in t-rex mode to just have a standard head on the t-rex body.)
Hi Perspective End, I bought a number of figures based on your recommendations. Here is my experience. 1) Triggerhappy - very good transformation, I'm very glad I got this. 2) MP Soundwave - Got this before I saw your recommendation. I got RP Acoustics wave too, but I too agree the MP is better. 3) Kingdom Cyclonus - He's one of the best mainline, but the joint areas are prone to yellowing. And I hate that the outer chest was painted, because my paint scruffed. I would get the Legacy, but the color is all wrong, even though he looks beautiful. 4) Siege Shockwave - He's okay I guess? I do not like the back kibble of his super mode, so I just display him in normal mode. 5) Core Iguanus and Soundwave - I got these specifically at your recommendation. Now, I can safely say that I am not a fan of Core or Legends class. I still recognize that these figures are good, they just didn't manage to win me over to legends scale. 6) Weijiang Megamaster. Oh God. Almost every reviewer recommended this figure. Emgo, Benscollectables, Sixo, even you. I will need to write out an entire essay to prove that ALL OF YOU GUYS ARE WRONG!! I can spend the whole day talking about how bad he is. Instead, I will just focus on his shoulders. Did it occur to no one else on this planet that Megamaster's shoulders are god-awful massive? It's like Ultra Magnus and Shin Getter 1 had a baby, and the result is a monster with monstrous shoulders. Megatron was never supposed to have such high massive shoulders. MP36, Despotron, Mightron, all got that look correct. But for some reason, Megamaster decided to ape the G1 toy, MP5 and Apollyon look for god knows what reason. Perspective End, I am genuinely shocked that you rant on so long about Grimlock's shoulders, but never once actually point out how wrong Megamaster's shoulders are! I mean, it's you! How could you actually miss that?!
1 I'm thrilled to hear that. 2 He's so much more fun. 3 Sorry to hear about your paint, I haven't found mine to yellow either. 4 Yeah I like the supermode as a fun little addition, but the normal mode is the point. 5 Sorry to hear that the weren't everything you could have hoped, but I hope at least that Sondwave makes a good little pocket toy you can put on a desk and fidget with. 6 I'm sorry to hear that. I mean they are big but I've seen waaaaay bigger, like Grimlock here. I don't know that it decided those needed to be so big, but they just had to be given the way it transforms. I mean I'm looking at mine right now, and Most Grimlocks have ay worse, Sure his are big, but they aren't like OVER his head.
Congratulations on 10K! This video was well worth the wait. Hot take: Planet X Cacus is one of if not THE most posable Transformer figure out there and I own the Magic Square Light of Peace. Why? It's incredibly posable in both modes. This is something most figures can't claim to have. He has an all new set of joints as a T. rex. Yes, it's missing some minor joints here and there, but it has joints most figures don't. All the other figures are usually just bricks after transforming them. That said, I wouldn't recommend this figure unless you're a huge Grimlock fan. Also, check Jobby's video on Cacus. He figured out how to get the hands out very easily. I tried it and it works brilliantly. The GigaPower reissue of the Grimlock fixed the issue with the hand transformation where if you didn't align some part properly, it would break. I don't own this figure just for the fact that they screwed up the ankle rocker. Like how the hell do you make a figure and fuck up the articulation in such a stupid way!? I actually considered getting the OSKO of the MP Grimlock, but the more I look at it, the more I dislike it. Then I considered the Fanstoys version, but there was something off about the proportions, and your critique perfectly captures my issues with it. The SS86 is closest to perfect, but I only collect MP figures, so that doesn't fit my collection. The fat tail also bothers me in dino mode. You know Toyworld did a redeco of their TM BW Megatron and made him into Grimlock. The head is a Grimlock head. Probably not worth it since the original figure sucked, but it kinda works. If Transart did something similar, I might consider getting it. I like the way DX9 hid the dino head in their figure, but having T. rex kibble is iconic so it's fine. I totally agree with the Newage one being ugly in robot mode. I like going for show accurate, but not accurate to a fault. I'm more than willing to sacrifice show accuracy for better aesthetics. For example, the SS86 Grimlock isn't 100% show accurate but if you haven't seen the show in awhile and see this figure, you wouldn't mistaken it for anything other than the original Grimlock. Even if you put them side by side, the aesthetics of the SS86 just looks better. We need a Masterpiece 2.0 Grimlock.
That is something I do get, like even if neither mode has the most joints, they both have a lot. The problem with that is that it doesn't work if you put the hands in the wrong way, the Fingers lock it into the walls of the calf and they just can't come out. You need to snake something in there and close the hands before the can come out. I don't know how they fucked up, but that's cool, they must have beveled where the elbow goes into the arm because it could get hung up there like the hip skirts. The need to make an OSKO 86 figure. I did but I heard that thing breaks like nothing. Yeah It's Iconic, I don't want it gone. I'd not even say it's accurate to a fault, I'd say they they screwed something uncanny up in their proportions which makes it look super Awkward. We do need an MP2.0
1. Congrats on 10k, its been so exciting to watch this channel grow! 2. Merry Christmas!! 3. Can we get more long videos like this on occasion? I know short and sweet (or bitter😆) is your shtick, but I gotta say its really enjoyable to sit down for a half hour or so every now and then. 4. My personal favourite Grimlock is SS86! One of the best leaders in recent years, and possibly the best CHUG Grimlock we will ever get.
Thank you so much, so am I. Merry Belated Christmas to you as well. No... This was... BRUTAL to make. The 86 one is absolutely worth your love and admiration.
No joke my favorite WTB. The jokes slap (as always), ur style compliments the good figs, and it single heartedly convinced me to get the ss86 grim (missed the standard release, picking up the awesome SG deco soon lol)
I'm proud to hear that, people really did love this one, and I understand why, I did intend for this to be my best ever. I'm so happy to have convinced you to get the 86.
Do you like the cyberverse take on him, intelegent and charismatic in robot mode and brutish and primitive in beast mode, not to mention the other dinobots
Me at the start: "All Grimlocks are kings." Me at the end: "No, but there are some powerful figures." Merry Christmas, guy who owns a lot of Grimlocks.
I'm gonna get the model kit grimlock sometime, and definitely the samurai grimlock is amazing. Good job with 10k subs, and I really hope to see your channel expand and grow greater.
Planet x Grimlock is actually not based on the MTMTE and Lost Light version of the character but rather on the Maximum Dinobots Version from IDW Phase 1. He had a completly differnent look in those two Series, and I actually like the Maximum Dinobots Design more than the one he has later. Plus that Series is Drawn by Nick Roche so that makes this Design God Tier automatically
Fors starters, a very Merry Christmas to you Second, 11:2613:38, I alwayes love when you do those skits. And third, take care and see ya in 2023 😉 👋. (also, thank you for your gag appierence in Doc Lockdown last video. It was quite funny, and watching my favorite youtubers doing a crossover with others is alwayes a fun time. )
I just found the model kit grimlock and it’s made by the company KuBianBao. They have some other cool stuff as well like a Megatron, Shockwave, and Prime. I just bought the Grimlock, it should be a fun build and fit in with both my Gundam and transformer collection!
Yeah he was a KBB figure. I would like to point out that his name was apparently TYRONE CABLE KING! How did I forget that. That's the most amazingly terrible name ever.
Here are a few ideas for your next subscriber celebration or anniversary Do a "Perspectives top 10 favorite(or least favorite) Chug(or mp) Figures" listing your favorite or least favorite Chug toys, not the best(or worst) but the ones you like(or dislike) the most.
11:30 I remember that joke. I think it was DoibleDealers rocket that hit Cliffjumper, although I don't remember the video it was from. Also the Iron Factory is what the Bay design does, a nightmarish samurai of doom, but done infinitely better. It actually looks closer to the Bay design than the G1, especially in dino mode. Loved the video, totally worth the wait. Merry Christmas to Perspective and everyone else watching.
It's from the ER Retrospective. And yeah I suppose you are right about that. Thank you so much, happy to hear it lived up to the Hype. Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas and Happy dinosaursesesesesss. I'll admit I'm one of those people that enjoys some extra beef in Grimlock's shoulders (not necessarily high, but large) as to me, it's a physical manifestation of his personality, as in- someone who knows nothing of Grimlock can get an idea what he's like at a glance.
Merry Christmas and congrats on 10k! Had to say my inner childs heart sank to hear G1 Grimlock hit the bottom of the barrel. But there was definitely something about the one you presented, that just was so damn jarring. Mine surely did not look that ungodly awful. So I got up and got mine off the shelf. Figured it out immediately. Older toys from the 80's are cool as all hell.......when the stickers are present to aid in the whole thing. Looking between the paused video and mine sitting here.....yeah a world of difference. To the point I never really even noticed the head location till now. Mine has stickers on either side of that flat edge that breaks that up, and somehow shrinks it at the same time. God I LOVE that Samurai Grimlock!!!!!! SS86 is my top one now. But G1 will always be my friends and I playing on the playground at recess, and it was a great equalizer for my family's SEVERE wealth gap.
Even though I like Botbots I definitely agree that someone should buy the tiny Rex design and speaking of Botbots a show came out which was ………. A horrible disappointing hell hole to say the least
I’d give that model kit a 10/10 for me. Looks pretty good in both modes, about $15cad, about average WFC poseability, just seems like a good grimlock about the size of a small deluxe.
Remember? SHEESH, that was a ride. Congrats on 1.5k So many figures I love, destroyed... Iron factory tho, like damn. You really like the Bay gridlock more than the FOC ver? Something must've happened.
Of course. Indeed it was, but it's 10.5 my friend. Which figures did you love that I destroyed. Na it's just that I really don't like the FOC version THAT much.
I actually like the Cyberverse DX class Grimlock a lot more than I thought I would, though I would still have gotten an S86 Grimlock if I had the money at the time, of if he was still available at MSRP instead of insane collectors' aftermarket rates. It's not without issues, and I wouldn't put it any higher than maybe #5 in this lineup at best, but when the biggest draw is being a member of the same team as Girl Swoop (whose only toy is tragically crippled by being part of an auto-transform gimmick combiner pair, and based on early concept art instead of her show model as well, so a PotP Swoop with some red paint on the arms is a far better depiction of her anyway) is the biggest draw for him, I can live with this being my only Grimlock until the Legacy Core class dino team is complete, and then probably leaving them in combined mode because the compromises of being combiners at that scale and price point are a little severe, at least judging by the two so far revealed and the general run of Core Class besides Megatron, Soundwave, and Iguanus. I will say that Cyberverse DX Slug is just shockingly good, though, and I love how they added some gold to his color layout to punch it up a bit. Snarl, as a Warrior class, is only okayish, and his tail doesn't split out to the sides like the animation model or G1 but instead is a big chunk of rubbery plastic, probably as a safety requirement due to all the spine plates being too spiky for Little Johnny to be trusted with, and/or to not break if dropped and made out of normal ABS, but at least the sword slashing arm gimmick is done in such a way that it does not actually compromise normal poseability at all, and as such is an example to hold up for all action gimmicks ever. Sludge, as an Ultra, is basically Warrior complexity at Voyager scale, but is at least decent if you can look past the hollow underside of the dino neck, and while weaponforming the tail off isn't super the giant lance it turns into is kinda cool. He's just a big, beefy boy with a big, beefy pokey stick, and I love him much more than I'd expected too. I might go for that model kit Grimlock; I think I saw him recently and I do already have the Optimus and Megatron that appear to be from the same line, or at least came with a packed in post-card-sized peice of magazine grade glossy paper printed with ads for Shockwave on one side and what looks like that Grimlock on the other. I was never a big fan of the G1 Dinobots though, even as a kid at ideal dino-appeal age I didn't like how stupid and disloyal they were, which probably plays a large factor in why the Cyberverse team appeals so much more, beyond the spiked and punched up redesigns of the visuals themselves. Especially nerd-girl Swoop, give her the Disgaea 4/D2/5 Professor as a Pretender shell and you have my waifu for laifu.😉
Maybe there's some good Cyberverse Grimlocks out there, but I wasn't about to wade through a lot of Bad Cyberverse figures to find the diamond in the rough. Apparently they are going to do a Rerelease of the 86 Grimlock some time in the next year. Slag... Apparently it's the Kubian Bao Grimlock. It does irritate me how disloyal they are but they still have a cool gimmick and a cool look.
@@PerspectiveEnd One of the things I did always appreciate about the Dinobots was that they actualoly look like a unified team, with their shared color scheme and theme. Far more so than even any of the actual combiner groups except for the seacons, non-coincidentally another of my favorite subgroups. Cyberverse making them (for the two episodes they appear in, the "season four" specials) much closer to normal intelligence and the Cybertronian equivalent of idealistic college age kids who decided to go on a road trip and look for adventure and/or the bot whose message (from a flashback in s01) inspired an entire aspect of their culture neatly addressed both of the things I disliked about the original depictions. As long as you don't mind waving your hand a lot and accepting that it's a different universe with a lot of different events, there's no reason those s4 episodes can't stand on their own, for that matter, if you want to check them out. I'm pretty sure they're available free on the official TF UA-cam channel, and there is also the incentive of an invading alternate-AU Soundwave as a Mad Max like Ayatollah of Rock-N-Rollah riding on a crazy tank-thing.
First Time Commenting, Wooo. Honestly, this video was great. I love the humor as I always do with your videos but I enjoy the fairness you gave each figure. You showed the negatives but you showed positives. I subscribed maybe, I have to say, seven to nine months ago and to see the quality get better over time and now to this video, I do have to say this is peak quality. I look forward to the rest of your videos and hopefully whenever I get out of college and get a stable income, I can help support your content.
Glad to see your first comment. Thank you for the kind words, and happy to have kept you entertained for almost a year. I'd be happy to see you comment more often. And I'm thrilled to hear that the humor landed with this one.
For mainline grimlocks out there I'd pick studio series grimlock The only problem i have with it is that i wish he had atleast two more accessories Like his big red sword or crown Like that was a big missed opportunity if you ask me
Merry Christmas! Sorry I am posting this late! I have been sick since the 23rd. This was great video! As usual you placed a smile on my face! Man I never thought the official MP was sooo sooo bad... Merry Belated Christmas to you as well. Sorry to hear about the Sickness, I've been sick on Christmas multiple times and it sucks. I'm happy to hear that. Yeah you sure lucked out not buyign that.
Grimlock getting a CHUG figure that rivals most masterpieces is absolutely wild. To be fair Grimlock tends to get cool but Flawed Figures.
Oh yeah, he's definitely the crown jewel of mine.
For anyone interested, the Grimlock model kit is legitimately called "Tyrone Cable King".
Seriously.
I forgot that was the name and how much the name ruled.

The design is damn near perfect tho and Planet X did it justice in figure form
@@PerspectiveEnd Gonna have to respectfully disagree. I personally love that design!
Exactly! Same here!

What's funny is that I think I have more Optimuses than Jobby too.
@@PerspectiveEnd Optimi?
The fact that there's a CHUG figure, which the only other figures of the character that it loses to are 2 3rd party figures and an upgraded version of itself is astounding. Chug really has come a long way since the original generations.
Indeed it has, and some times it still stumbles and fails, but the wins are big.
Tiny Rex be like: WHY ME GRIMLOCK SO TINY AND CUTE
PerspectiveEnd be like "Because you are perfect."
Odd, my dad's masterpiece grimlock is... Actually good, at least, it isn't falling apart, or rusty, or loose, and the lightup fist still works, and i love it.
I'm glad at least someone got an enjoyable version.
Yeah mine too I love the figure
This is masterpiece! Well done man! I really glad that you create some thing that you want long time. I am really glad that you have created what you have planned for a long time. Hope someday I can't something like this for my channel.
Thank you very much!
I hope so too.
Yeah that thing looks actually way cooler than the version I got, and I normally wouldn't say that about a Comic deco.
@@PerspectiveEnd Wonder if they'll ever do a Shogun Ultra Magnus or Oni Jetfire for their new style. Tengu Seekers, anyone?
10:35 I forgot that this was a “What’s the best” and not a “Once a day roast a mans”
Yeah it's hard to separate my two forms of content now.
25:45 Aaah. The full Planet X experience!
Indeed it is.
15:49 the virgin ERjumper vs the chad Grimlock
I tend to use CliffjumpER, and there's another scene of punishment for him.
Sorry to hear about the waste of money, but I hope you love them. They are cool as hell.
I think the giant shoulders are like that because they form the thighs or calves or some part of the leg, so they likely think they would look good in leg form
But they don't look like that in the dino mode either?
11:31 was a huge throwback, glad the explosion sound was not as loud this time though, the previous one nearly blew my ears out.
Anyways, Merry Christmas! Got my hands on the Lego Optimus Prime as a gift from my parents, and while I know you may not like model building, I find it very enjoyable. Great fun, more as a novelty, and not as a fully fleshed-out figure.
To anyone who sees this and was on the fence about him, if you like Lego, you'll LOVE him
I remember the complaints last time, so I made sure to rip 14 decibels off it.
Nice Congratulations, glad you like it.
This aint even all of them, and I didn't even do versions like the WFC, Cyberverse, and Beast Wars.
@@PerspectiveEnd Not to mention the worst ones of all, Energon and Authentics. I have the Authentics Bravo Grimlock, and if you have no desire to see a crappy Grimlock figure, do not lay your eyes on the Authentics Bravo Grimlock.
Planet X is based on Maximum Dinobots which had a lot of colour differences from the MTMTE version. Also I adore it so hard
Yeah I hear that, it's just it does hurt to know my Childhood store is empty.
Personally I love FOC grimlocks design and think that the shoulders size works with how the rest of him looks but I do agree that just placing the large shoulders on literary every other figure is a bad idea
Just because they were fine on one design doesn’t mean they’ll work on every grimlock
Well the started showing up on Grimlocks long before that game came out.
When I heard that there is leaked listings for a Shattered Glass Grimlock using the 86 mould.........I just said take my money.
Indeed, they also just need to re-release them in general.
Sorry to hear that your return was marred by such a mediocre figure, but glad that it still found it's way into your heart.
@@PerspectiveEnd It could have been worse. I could have gotten SG Starscream, who's based on a fantastic mold...and then screamed in despair as it yellowed in the box with no known fix.
Bruh this is massive. I was expecting like, 10, maybe 15 minutes but wow. Thanks man
Indeed it is. I just went to town on this one.
I feel like you committed a war crime for saying a cybertron game design is trash
Yeah sever people feel that way.
hi jamal here thanks so much for the good vids and good reccomendations dude! happy 10k ur vids rlly helped me when i was having hard times so thanks perspective!!!
Sorry for missing this. Hope you are doing well.
I think you are using a new account now correct?
@@PerspectiveEnd yeah
@@PerspectiveEnd i have 2 accs now
I think the new age grimmy is so uncanny because of how slim he is. His entire proportions match that of a generic G1 transformer to that of a massive brute like Grimlock
This is kind of true, but also his chest is so puffy.
Wow. This channel is just… perfect. This video made me lose my shit even though I knew it was happening. Most of my gifts didn’t come on Christmas but it doesn’t matter. Thank you my lord.
I'm happy to have brought you one of your gifts on time.
They really were just using ball joints on limbs on masterpieces back then huh. Well, regardless of that certified Takara L, congrats on 10k, and Merry Christmas from the Land Down Under.
Indeed, what a decision.
And thank you.
Merry Belated Christmas, in your summer months.
cyberverse, animated, and rid: why can't I have a face
Ok I get that potp grimlock sucks but imagine this:
Your 9 on Christmas Day and you open a giant red box to be greeted by all 6 potp Dinobots.
Wonderful memory
I have wonderful memories of it, and it did pretty decently considering what it is.
I left a few things out, but I can only review what I have, and thats one of the few I never picked up.
Personally, it’s always been a gripe for me that a lot of companies make Grimlock’s dino hands silver robot claws instead of slender white glove hands.
Yeah most people chrome them. Which when the rest of the figure is Chrome I get, but not every version needs that.
Merry Christmas brother man. May your days be merry and bright and may all your Grimlocks’ joints be tight.
Some times too tight, but Merry Belated Christmas to you as well.
I know you don't like FOC design, but Planet X Vulcan is a really good figure, you do need that in your collection
I'm sure it is, but it's not something I'd look at and would have it spark joy.
i don't need an MP Grimlock rn, but that Iron Factory one... god i need that in my life. Happy 10k!
Just get ready for Punctured hands, and thank you so much for having my back all this time. Merry Christmas.
Most sane Grimlock enjoyer
As a fellow Grimlock enjoyer, I relate.
Welcome Brother.
13:55 no the ovel shaped grimlcok head is ten billion times worse
By that I meant one that's not an absolute animation error.
A belated congrats on reaching 10k subscribers and releasing a video you had been planning for such a long time.
Thank you so much, I'm quite proud of it.
Been here since about 2k and I enjoy every video youve made since. Merry christmas and cheers to 10k heres to 20k
Thank you very much... Just too bad you don't like my videos before 2K... Such a shame.
Well worth the wait man, loved the vid, Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas right back, and thank you so much!
Thank you so much, and I'm just happy you are watching it now.
And yeah. That is one of the best Grimlocks out there.
It’s been a long time coming.
Happy 10k and merry Christmas perspective!
Merry 10K Christmas.
It’s time. Merry Christmas Perspective!
Merry Belated Christmas!
Rocket-Lock segment was worth the thumbs up alone. Bless you, and congratulations.
Thank you very much. Glad you enjoyed it so much, I was really happy with how that Gag turned out.

Indeed.
Merry Christmas PE! So happy to be here still watching your vids, can't wait for more in the future!
Merry Belated Christmas to you.
Happy to have you here.
11:48 I swear you always taking a chance to hit cliffjumper has to be one of the funniest things ever
I don't do it anywhere near as much as I used to.
@@PerspectiveEnd My favorite one has to be in the Kingdom Cyclonus review, the rocket punch had me fuckin dying 💀
Do you like the cyberverse take on him, intelegent and charismatic in robot mode and brutish and primitive in beast mode, not to mention the other dinobots
I'm ambivalent to it. I don't hate it, but it's not something that grabs me.
Me at the start: "All Grimlocks are kings."
Me at the end: "No, but there are some powerful figures."
Merry Christmas, guy who owns a lot of Grimlocks.
Indeed. Many of these Grimlocks are Thots.
And Merry Christmas to you as well.
How awesome would it be if we actually get a faithful design for grimlock in live action
I've wanted that my entire life.

Perspective End: There's more.
Viewer: No.
You just put a smile on my face.
It is crazy the traction this video has, this video alone will support you till the end of time
Planet x Grimlock is actually not based on the MTMTE and Lost Light version of the character but rather on the Maximum Dinobots Version from IDW Phase 1. He had a completly differnent look in those two Series, and I actually like the Maximum Dinobots Design more than the one he has later. Plus that Series is Drawn by Nick Roche so that makes this Design God Tier automatically
I don't know that that's true, because the Maximum Dinobots guy had the tooth face.
Fors starters, a very Merry Christmas to you
Second, 11:26 13:38, I alwayes love when you do those skits.
And third, take care and see ya in 2023 😉 👋.

Congrats for 10k and thank you for making awsome videos all of us can enjoy. Also, Merry Christmas!
Thank you so much, and Merry Belated Christmas!
I’ve been hoping for a whats the best for grimlock. Best Christmas gift
Happy to hear it.
7:45 that's the kbb or KuBianBao which makes knockoffs and model kit transformers, they also had a shockwave too.
Now that you mention it, I do remember that.
Truly a Christmas miracle that this finally comes out
Truly a Christmas to surpass Metal Gear.
Here are a few ideas for your next subscriber celebration or anniversary
Do a "Perspectives top 10 favorite(or least favorite) Chug(or mp) Figures" listing your favorite or least favorite Chug toys, not the best(or worst) but the ones you like(or dislike) the most.
Those are possibilities yeah.
It's here finally and also happy holidays
After all this time.
Thank you right back at ya.
I curse youtube for not notifying me on this, maybe two days late, but still glad I get to see this. Congrats PE!
Thank you for being here at all. I'm glad so many people are enjoying this one.
Well then the 86 and Gigapower are for you.
I wonder how much of a disaster the core class grimlock is gonna be next year.
Probably a complete one.
I'm proud of you friend! Best channel on UA-cam!
I'm so proud you feel that way. Thank you so much. I hope work eases up on you.
Glad to see you growing.
Thank you very much!
Merry Chrismas to you as well and thank you!
Stickers would probably help, as this thing is not distracting me from where the damn head is.
7:33 truer words have never been spoken
They really haven't.
Indeed it is all that.
@@PerspectiveEnd, I have at last found a 3rd party figure I can afford!
merry cwimas! happy 10k!
Merry Belated Cwimas!
Merry Christmas Perspective!
Merry Christmas to you as well.
Congrats on reaching 10k!
Thank you so much!
Remember?
SHEESH, that was a ride. Congrats on 1.5k
So many figures I love, destroyed...
For mainline grimlocks out there I'd pick studio series grimlock
The only problem i have with it is that i wish he had atleast two more accessories
Like his big red sword or crown
Like that was a big missed opportunity if you ask me
I'd want his sword, but I've had enough of his crown to last me a lifetime.
"What the best" is the best title you got!
What do you mean by that?
Merry Christmas! Sorry I am posting this late! I have been sick since the 23rd. This was great video! As usual you placed a smile on my face! Man I never thought the official MP was sooo sooo bad... Every time I looked at it.. I thought... Nah... I don't like it... Then I saw the King Grimlock version... Nah... Not worth the money... I am SOOOOO glad I skipped it when it got out!
Merry Belated Christmas to you as well.
