A guy in another video didn't bother explaining anything, didn't warn for the adhesive tape holding the keyboard, didn't explain the ribbon cable and all the intricacies. Even when he was opening the laptop, he slammed the lower part on the table so hard that it bounced.

You can not upgrade the GPU.
Just opened friend's one, one note: while splitting the two parts (after removed the screws under the keyboard), start from the back and then open it like a book leaving the front side as a fulcrum, don't force the opening from the front or you'll going to break the plastic bridges.

Whats the advantage of SSD drive and how do you format it.
7.0mm form factor SSD will do. i.e Kingston A400, Crucial MX500 or WD Blue 3D NAND

Just a quick question what does one do if a few keys are not working in the keyboard and not sure it's a system issue. How much does a keyboard replacement for this version go in your country btw in USD
Might be a faulty keyboard, I usually search ebay for this kind of parts and also aliexpress.

You should check with the Lenovo memory compatibility list if they have one on site.

Maybe they changed something, might an extra screw, or some extra adhesive tape.

I cant enter Bios or start from USB tried it with FN +F2
did you try the poke hole near charger plug? a lot of people don't know about that. that is used for bios and boot settings

What causes certain keys not to work anymore?
If it's not from the ribbon connector then probably you need to replace it.

What is not working more exactly? Doesn't turn on? Doesn't boot? There can be a lot of things to check such as battery, charger, bios settings, drives, memory.
