That was so fun! Absolutely insane to think it takes you on an ebike to show how fast Pantini got up that mountain. Awesome job. One hundred 👍👍 thumbs up! Today was a good day for the Danes! First you…and now Jonas! 🇩🇰 whoo hoo 🎉
Ogni tributo a Pantani è giusto e doveroso: Pantani deve essere celebrato ovunque e per sempre, sia per onorare la sua grandezza, sia per evidenziare l'infamia di chi ce l'ha sulla coscienza.
Only like 3 minutes into the video and did his climb back in 98 ....I raced and was a cat 3 /2 ..... And finished in 1 hour and 6 minutes ( time trail - solo ) And 100% natural no juice
"...to feel what it's like to climb like the legend..." Without the PAIN and SUFFERING, of course. Or even minute things like figuring out what to eat/drink and when. GOOD FUN, though! Nice thing to watch on this crucial TdF 2022 rest day before les Pyrenees (though you uploaded this six months ago and I imagine filmed it earlier since I don't think l'Alpe d'Huez looks like that in January...
Ehhh Tour de France is in July and it is not a documentary -live film - it is just a nice fun video so i am not sure what your point is about when it was filmed and uploaded? Do you think this is a prof channel like GCN???? If yes than a great compliment to Thecyclingdane guys!!! I think they are 3 students with passion for prof cycling etc and does this in their sparetime! I am just saying.....
The tour back in those days were epic...... And of course they all juiced... But the races between these guys Armstrong, pantani, urich..... And so forth amazing. I could be wrong but I think the the French polka dot winner jelabert ( I'm spelled the name wrong) throughout this period was clean? Please leave feedback if you can about
@@thecyclingdane I can do 1200 watts for around 1:30 minutes so with some training 600 watts is possible even for 2 minutes but your weight to power ratio has to be high, at 180 lbs this can be possible just requires lots of cycling training, this video clearly shows how much power they had.
@savagepro9060.........WRONG!! Pantani's bike was aluminium with carbon forks. In fact, I read somewhere that it was actually lighter than most pro bikes are today at around 6.6 kilos!
Es una falta de respeto con la memoria de pantani hacer ese vídeo tan mediocre me da rabia con personas que mal interpretan la memoria de uno de los grandes del ciclismo

👍
Congratulations you are now part of the cycling history who doped climbing the TdF stage!😆(mechanical dope)✌
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is conclusive proof that Marco Pantani used an e-bike!!
a c-bike (but he's the best rider of all time). Indubitoso.
Via gli occhiali, via la bandana, in piedi sui pedali veleggiando verso la vetta. Riposa in pace Pirata, ovunque tu sia
Hey chubby Dane - I’ll bet you 1 trillion dollars you can’t ride the Alpe in 46 minutes 😂
It was good Scott it showed with the Speedo just how ridiculously fast those guys go up mountains.❣️
Exactly crazy right
Great video! And your jersey wasn’t even aero…lol. Would have loved it more if you included your heart rate data as well.
Good point I should have tbh I wasnt wearing one

Really good because this gives the feeling bend by bend going up
Is that Ef rider at the bottom magnus cort? That moustache looks familiar
Good spot not sure tbh
One is a LEGEND, the other, a Leg End. Nice try!🤣
You are everywhere
@@JPL454 omnipresent, for goodness sake it's cycling .. . I love de bike

Genius! 😍
Unless it’s on Strava, it didn’t happen! 😂
Strava is for sad twats. Delete it and enjoy cycling
So true!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
awesome dude. I am in Grenoble. Can I buy you beers?
Yes lets do it! Hit me on up on Insta will be back in Grenoble tomorrow
Great video, tks for this gift.
I just wanna say: don't forget that he had almost 200k on legs before the climb 😂
Happy new year
nice video mate, but dont forget to mention that his climbing started a few days and a few km before that spot!!!!!
Hahahha yeah that is very true just makes it more ridiculous how fast he went
Was the bike a rental? or your own bike? If rental? what was the rental cost? What model Was it?

Laurent Jalabert was absolutely not clean at all. All the top riders in the 1990s was doped with epo etc.
Wait… are you on Strava?
Yes but this ride will never see the light on strava hahaha
Ugh, those handlebars look mighty uncomfortable. Did you have sore wrists after that ride?
yeah not the best tbh hahaha
How many watts was at bike rated for?
400 for 4 hours
Only another Marco Pantini could do that, but Athletes like Marco Pantini are born once in a life time...well,keep trying.
first
first what?
😂😂😂
Winner hahahaha
Why don’t you do a new video using Pantanis bike and see if you can beat his time 🎉
Wpantani❤
so funny
the drugs were / are crazy
how the *** are they going thaT FAST
@@spainwinsnumerouno2018 They used lots of Epo, testosterone, human growth hormone, insuline, anabolic steroids etc. (sorry for the spelling errors)
The shame of it all! On a flat bar bike?
I luv your outfit especially the green framed sunglasses! Cool man!😁 And than on an e-bike!🤣🤣🤣🤣I really enjoyed this video thank you Scott!
I really doubt you can do 600 watts for 2 minutes. even someone like phil gaimon would struggle to do that.
Not what my power meter says ;)

Pantani did that on a old steel frame, in about 37 minutes, right? Today's 'dentists' with their multi-thousand-dollar bikes can still NEVER do that!
Wilier aluminum

you would need EPO/Steroids etc etc to really match his pace!
Silly. Pantani ruined his life with drugs.
