That shouldn't be possible: you are a great singer with a fantastic voice, you write a song, heavily based on dramatic passages in your life, and people feel the emotions more from a young teenager who clearly didn't have those deep life experiences yet, when she sings your song! With Angelina everything is possible!
yes, she really disproves the adage you have to live it to sing it.
Adele is brilliant but the reason I find this more emotional is the thickness she puts in tone that slight nasality you get when you are about to cry. The more you watch Angelina the more you realise that's a choice. She has complete control over the texture and tone and colour of her voice.
From what I've seen so far, which is only 3 songs, I do believe her to have full control. I really loved this one, I preferred the Suspicious Minds cover. I have only begun this journey down the Rabbit Hole. Cheers!

A brilliant song written by Baby Fuzz...but he was getting no traction with the record company so he got 10 year old Angelina to sing a demo. It is brilliant. I am sure if this had been released at the time it would have charted. The video montage was fan made a couple of years after. This was leaked by somebody from the studio as too good to be held back. Iam not surprised they were proud of it. Angelinas mother and family were trying to give Angelin as normal a life as possible. Only letting her perform on holidays. They turned down so many record deals only signing with Republic Records at 14, with the agreement that they did not push her out till she finished school.They are the opposite of stage mums. The push has come from Angelina. The whole family supports and protected her. There is a recent shot of her at coachella her mum and grandma are with her.

Speaking of haunting your ears...
Angelina's first release from her label (republic records) was Million Miles a tribute she penned to her grandfather who passed in 2019. The live in studio version has the best vocals, if you go to check it out. You can really hear her soul cry into the void, and she will tear your soul to shreds, as she rends her own, only to put you back together a little better than before by the songs abrupt end. Those we lose are never really gone; they exist in the tears we shed for them. I look forward to more reactions.
Apart from making her own music, lyrics, arrangements, writing books and performing barefoot, there is more! She made her own art, made a suit for herself using a print of her grandmother’s art, has done a ton of charities and plays instruments (piano is her best and she working on the guitar and apparently she also the violin and flute).
If you listen to them back to back, you will also notice that difference between the voices with the Angelina’s (in my ears) having more warmth and texture to it. Adele is big inspiration to Angelina and Angelina has covered a bunch of her songs and they are all great!

Easy On Me
Both Angelina Jordan and Adele are under the Republic Records umbrella, 12 hours after Adele released "Easy On Me," this video was dropped on the internet by AJ, and Adele has seen it. Adele wrote the song with its producer, Greg Kurstin, and it is about a broken marriage and a mother trying to explain to her son why it is happening. You have to ask yourself how a 15-year-old Angelina Jordan could do this song justice and give it the emotion it deserves? Here again, AJ takes on the impossible and makes it a classic as she always does.
As usual, grandma Mery is close, and even appears in this video with AJ. Mery has been a major powerhouse behind AJ, and they would be lost without each other. One genius helping create another.
Every time this girl opens her mouth and those ethereal sounds come rolling out, I lose my breath, and the tears appear. There is no one else on earth that moves me like AJ, and at 75 I have experienced the best the industry has to offer.
She is a child prodigy and a musical genius her grandmother, who you saw at the beginning is also a prodigy but a artist, she is fluent in 4 or 5 languages , she was born a extraordinary talent and in the music industry she is considered a generational talent, but even with all that talent she is a grounded ,humble human who's message is to be kind to one another
Angelina is in charge for most of her musical arrangements since she was 8 years of age. The musicians she usually works with are calling her 'the boss' (in the most positive way) because this young lady knows what she wants and what music is all about. The older lady at the beginning of the video is her grandmother Mery Zamani. She is an artist herself and she is the one who introduced Angelina with jazz/blues/soul music from the moment she was able to listen to music as a baby. She is also the producer / co producer of most of Angelina's videos. The two are very, very close till this very day.
Angelina was seven years old when she auditioned for Norway’s Got Talent. She had just turned eight years old when she won the contest. Her four America’s Got talent performances are breath taking. Other than hearing some occasional applause of appreciation from the audience the studio is quiet. It’s quiet because the audience is so completely mesmerized and hypnotized by Angelina’s performances. That is a common affect when hearing Angelina sing in that type of concert setting.
Angelina is multi talented artist, in addition to being a bona fide genius level musical talent. She was only nine years old when she wrote her book. In doing so she became the youngest Norwegian citizen to have written a book and have it published. She wrote and recorded four songs by the time she turned twelve years old. Angelina signed with Republic Records in August of 2020. She was fourteen at the time. She wrote a song, “Million Miles” in memory of her deceased grandfather. She also dedicated her song to everyone that has lost their loved ones. “Million Miles” was her debut single with Republic Records. It was released in November of 2020. It is a heart breaking song that will always remain relevant as long as people suffer the loss of their loved ones.

Well, as you listen to her sing 'for you' you will realize she has touched your heart and when that happens her love will never leave you. If you guys love Adele, Angelina video's many of Adele's songs and I think it's important to note Angelina admirers Adele very much and considers it an honor to sing her songs. Sometimes she alters the lyrics of a song because they may not be appropriate for her to sing them because of her age. If you listen to her and notice the lyrics are not in the same place as the original she does that intentionally because she wants to put emphasis on the love in the message of a song and often times we understand the meaning of a song much more after listening to her sing it. Adele is my favourite Angelina songwriter. Her music is perfect for Angelina's voice. The pianist here, is Rob Christie, the studio head at Republic Records Los Angeles studios (who has become her musical mentor). I love Adele and I've heard her version all of twice. To me, this is Angelina's song now, like so many other classics have become hers by the mere fact of her performing them. 😎
No one covers Adele like Angelina does. When Angelina chooses to cover an artists songs she sprinkles her angel dust on them and then takes ownership of them.
The best way to describe the barefoot princesses voice is hypnotic. At least it is for me. Absolutely an angel sent from heaven. Some other fun facts about the barefoot princess. English is not her first language. She speaks four languages. She plays like five instruments. While both Adele & Angelina have beautiful voices, what differentiates Angelina is her innate GOD given gift of being able to emote the essence of each song she sings direct to our hearts & souls allowing us to also deeply FEEL her music as it flows through her. Norwegian born Angelina Jordan began singing at the age of one and a half, and by age three was listening to jazz and classics legends on repeat. Her grandmother was her greatest influence, but Angelina chose her own path. Her first studio performance was at age 7, singing I Who Have Nothing. She won Norway's Got Talent at the age of only 8, singing old time classics from Billie Holliday and George Gershwin, and became the youngest ever vocalist to win an international Got Talent Show! Her performance at 9 years old of Screamin Jay Hawkins, I Put a Spell on You is considered one of the finest recordings ever of a 9-year-old vocalist! Angelina also went viral on America's Got Talent the champions in 2020 with her unique versions of Bohemian Rhapsody and Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. Angelina sings in English which unbelievably is her third language! She is a true prodigy.
She is now 17, and has recorded a huge library of songs, including covers and several originals. Why does Angelina sing barefoot? The answer may bring a tear to your eye. It is related to a promise she made to herself and to the world when she was only 6 years old. She was traveling in the Middle East with her mom and grandmother and they came across a young orphan girl with no shoes and scarred feet. Angelina gave the girl her own favorite shoes. Angelina ask the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and she said a doctor, but she could not because she had to take care of her siblings. She asked Angelina the same question and Angelina said I want to sing for the world. The young girl said she would pray for Angelina. Since then, Angelia has forever performed barefoot as a reminder of all those less fortunate. At age 9 she wrote a book about this experience, Between two Hearts, becoming the youngest ever published author in Norway. She also has helped raise millions for children's charities. She even donated her winnings from Norway's Got Talent to charities. She is a special individual, and one you cannot follow without developing an emotional bond.
Angelina captures hearts because she is humble and has compassion for humanity. Her stated goal from childhood was to sing for the world and spread love and peace. That dude playing the piano is Rob Christie Republic Records Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California, and he has been working with AJ since she signed with the largest record company in the world at the age of 14, three years ago. Rob was the MC of AJ Christmas Show that aired Dec 23, of 21. AJ’s Christmas Show that live-streamed on Dec 23 of 21 had some of the most important musicians of our time: Frank Sinatra's drummer for 6 years, and sun in-law of the late Henry Mancini, Greg Field has won 9 Grammys, and the bass player, Chuck Berghofer who also played for Sinatra for 6 years, and toured with Barbara Streisand, accompanied AJ on her Christmas Show, and they stated that she had the "storytelling ability of the greats, Streisand, Fitzgerald, Vaughan, including Sinatra, to name a few. The main pianist, a five-time nominated for Grammys, Shelly Berg, stated in all his years working with the greatest vocalist, he had never encountered a talent like AJ. Did I forget to mention Jimmy Z, the famous Sax Player who worked with Rod Steward, Etta James, the Eurythmics, and Doctor Dre, was part of the band for the show? Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California played the guitar, and was the MC of the show. (I can't list the complete backgrounds on all the band members because it would take several pages to do them justice.) Her voice is like auditory velvet to me. Soft, pleasant and rich.

I think Angelina with her natural breathy, raspy and beautiful vibrato gave the song an even more personal feeling than the original ! Just an observation but I loved Adele's original immensely ! Angelina is only 16 here but her vocal nuances and inflections are so heartfelt and emotionally connecting to her audience ! The piano guy is Rob Christy. He is in charge of the California studio and plays piano and guitar very well. Angelina has already been introduced to the president of Republic records as well as the top dog of their parent company. Every artist from every record company knows about Angelina at this time. They are going to have to tune up their computer enhancement program to compete with AJ!
Charity, she donated the 80,000 dollars she won on Norway’s Got Talent
Angelina Jordan won Norway’s Got Talent at the age of 8 in 2014, the prize for winning was eighty thousand dollars, this money was donated to children’s charities. At age 8 her first charity performance was in Germany to raise money for heart disease. Again, at age 8 she does a telethon for Plan International Children’s Charity. Still at age 8 she performs for Norwegian Sea Rescue Society Charity. On the 12th of Dec still at age 8, she performs at Save The Child Nobel Peace Prize, 4 days later, even though she has a very bad cold, she performs for the Swedish Heroes Foundation against her doctor's orders. At age 10 she performed for the Norwegian Refugee Council Charity. Also age 10 she performed in Seoul in South Korea for Rotary International to raise money for children’s vaccinations. Angelina Jordan comes from a very wealthy family and does need the money, she, and her family want to share her wonderful talent with the world. This is what makes AJ and her family so very special. She started singing at 1-1/2 and her Grandmother raised her musically on Jazz. The girl she spoke with and her struck up a friendship and Angelina made her take her shoes. The girl said she would pray for Angelina to get her wish of being a Singing Superstar... She's raised in excess of $10 Mill for Children's Charities.

At two going on three she is scrolling through UA-cam looking for Jazz artists to listen to on UA-cam for hours.
At three tells her Mother she wants to sing on that Simon show.
Enters school at four, and in addition to normal classes, enrolls in after school program taking music, piano, violin and flute.
At five is studying music theory and speaking three languages, Norwegian, Persian and English,also reading English.
At five tells her Mother she wants to sing at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert.
At five try’s to audition for Norway’s Got Talent, but is told she must be seven.
At five is practicing four to six hours per day, six days per week.
Driven, obsessed, more than a prodigy, genius, yes, but much more.

Her family has been protecting her from the bad aspects of the music industry for the last 10 years in order to allow her as normal a childhood as possible & to allow her to finish her basic schooling. Well in a few weeks she graduates HS a year early at 17 (she skipped 6th grade). Any day now she will release the 1st single from her upcoming debut album of original songs scheduled for release in the fall. Then her record label promises a global promotion & world tour. So get ready because her popularity is about to go nuclear.
Just FYI, she also recorded an album at age 11 (released at age 12) called It’s Magic. It contains her first two originals.

Angelina released this You Tube video cover of "Easy On Me" only 11 days after the original release by Adele. It seems that she interpreted the poignant lyrics in terms of her own life experience, perhaps harking back to the change in life for herself and her whole family after she won "Norway's Got Talent" at the age of eight: "Go easy on me baby; I was still a child; Didn't get the chance to feel the world around me; I had no time to choose what I chose to do". AJ expressed some similar sentiments in her own song "Shield" [lyric: "Forgive me for all that I am"] which she wrote, performed live on Norwegian TV, and recorded at age 12 ua-cam.com/video/lQtUbVKb0vs/v-deo.html . "Shield" is an astonishingly good song, well worthy of your reaction. Why does Angelina sing barefooted? Angelina Jordan is known as "The Barefoot Princess" or "The Barefoot Princess of Jazz," amongst many other names. She always performs barefooted, whether in front of a live audience or during a studio performance. The story is that while living in the Middle East, at 6 years old, Angelina came across an orphaned girl, of her own age, sitting in the street, weighing people on a bathroom scale to earn money. Angelina said to herself, "I would like to share her life for one second to know what it is like to sit alone, wet, and damp, and barefoot in a corner of the street." Angelina could see the girl's bare feet were scarred and that it was cold outside, so she offered her own shoes to the girl. Little Angelina says that she really loved her shoes, as they were very nice and she knew she would miss them. But she saw the other little girl’s need for them, which outweighed her own desire to keep them. So she insisted the little girl take them.
Angelina called her Princess, even though the girl said she didn't live in a castle, but the ruins of a building next to where she sat. After sharing their hopes and dreams, the little girl said of Angelina's wish to sing for the world, "You will become the one you dream of and when your dreams come true, you have to remember the poor children without shoes; and I will pray for you Angelina.” Later that day, 6 y/o Angelina wrote in her diary, "The world is very strange. Right then and there, I felt as if a door in my heart opened up, and it was filled with lots of lights. It was as if there was, from Earth to Heaven, a staircase. I climbed the stairs. To be able to do something for another human - it was such a big thing…hard to describe really.”
From that point on, Angelina takes off her shoes, in honor of ‘Princess’ and all the other less fortunate children of the world, who are orphaned, hungry, or in want of even basic clothing. In 2015, at the age of 9, Angelina wrote a book about the encounter, as everyone continued to ask why she sang barefoot. Her grandmother, Mery Zamani, created the artwork for the book. So at 9, Angelina Jordan became the youngest published author in Norway. Angelina has performed alongside many other artists, raising attention and helping to raise over 21 million euros and millions of dollars for children in need.
