Mid Century Modern House Designs

Desert Modernism provides inspiration for our Rummer Remodel. Checked out some great tracks of mid-century modern homes in Palm Springs. Even found some new Eichler Homes. One just like our A. Quincy Jones designed Rummer.

A developer was building a tract of NEW 'Eichler' homes in Palms Springs in 2018? Where is that? I want to see them! Mr Eichler was a developer like no other. He was committed to building modern style homes and used several great architects to design them. Great video. Now I have another reason to visit Palm Springs!

They are 6 of them located in the central Palm Springs neighborhood of Tahquitz River Estates. Have a fun visit!

You know most of these homes were dilapidated in the 1980's. You could pick them up cheap. A number of flippers spruced a lot of them up and many were later renovated as modernism began to be discovered. These homes were far ahead of their time and weren't really appreciated until many decades later.
