I remember in the 1980s he sang the jingle for a bank commercial and I was going to contact him and suggest he record it, because at the time he was saying he couldn't get a recording contract and it was a pretty good tune This was before "You're the Voice" was such a huge hit.
Underrated? B Not really, just under exposed globally, but he has said that family came before world touring. He seems to be a lovely family man, a lovely human being, who has the most astonishing voice. Lucky for we fans that we can watch and listen to his performances. I have a daily Farnham fix via you tube, it's sheer heaven, sometimes lasts for hours! E❤
I heard John "rock this" at many a concert & always loved it 🤘😜🤘 Any of his shows were always a treat to attend & any time he ended a show with this rock classic, you just KNEW you'd had a "top night" 🤙😎🤘 Sure, there were no bagpipes in it, but who cares??? I love this man nearly as much as life itself! He's magical!!!!! Met him when I was 3 when he did Dick Whittington. Been inlove since. THEN my first job was in a Pharmacy and his Grandmother was a customer there. I was always asking about him LOL! Never got to meet him, I'm living in the USA now doing music, but have introduced him to a whole heap of people who just love him! I have been fighting Cancer for 2 years now, so it's one of my wishes to just meet him and thank him!

I was born in 1944. No idea what "year/grade" that makes me, just know that this version is my fave rock song ever. Live in the UK, never seen a Farnsy concert live and don't have the Internet, , so am thankful for the smart phone and a UA-cam video playlist of his petformances. What a joy, john farnham concerts look like one huge happy party.
