I have the 3 great colors sounds great no issues the 4 takes forever to release to the east coast June can’t wait love the new purple color and Wimbledon green you can pair them eq them a lot more to offer I have all the GO series they still sell 30+ dollars and up I love JBL they give you a lot of colors and I’m sure more colors will be released
U checked out their soundbars ? I got the JBL bar 9.1 with a 10 inch subwoofer. It surpasses every other high end soundbar I ever owned. Definitely worth a look!

I had the go3 but it was so thin sounding compared to my clip 4 I sent the go3 back but this new go4 is comparable to the clip4 in sound and I love this new go4. Its is perfect for watching UA-cam on my phone and music while out where a phone speaker is too quiet.
I already have it, both in fact and I can say that there is a notable difference in audio quality and power, let's say that if the GO4 is a 10, then the GO3 would be an 8, that is my perception.
Im about replace my go 2 with the go 4 i need new version with type c jack vs my old go 2 has teg android jack.i prefer that but there all good. Ive had many brands nobody beats jbl audio.
Some of my silicone stickers on my JBL Go3 have fallen off, but the sound is still good. Hehe Based on this video, the JBL Go4 has a slightly better bass though. Hmm. Maybe it is time for an upgrade since I’ve had my JBLG3 for 3-4 years already. ❤️

I still like the aesthetic of the Go 3 more tbh; I really don't like the orange borders on the logo of the 4, wish they kept it more seamless like the 3

I heard you say "stick with the JBL signature sound" setting... I'm torn between that setting and the "Energetic" setting... as to which sounds better... What are your thoughts?
Looks like I will stick with the Go 3. It’s a to go speaker, not a surround system. The design of the 4 looks like the 2. Not that impressive. They do peel off, but once that done, they are great. If I need something better then I’ll bring my JBL flip.
In my humble opinion i think the sound is more crystal clear on the go 4 I also think the couple of little upgrades done to the esthetics do make a difference, 2 key features on the new one compared to the go 3 are the ones you mentioned about the top part where the buttons are located and the silicon strips on the bottom of the speaker

I wish JBL can create an auracast device/adaptor for all kind of speakers using bluetooth or connected to the speaker input source.

Go4 have slightly (I mean barely perceptible) more bass. I own Go4, but Go3 it's a good choice too.

I can notice a difference in audio quality but it's not an HUGE difference as you said it was.

The design on the 3 had some flaws, the rubbers come off overtime and the speaker will have no stability on it's base, the 4 corrected those flaws
