The activist from Mexico seems confused about what the false solutions are. Too many people are trying to rope other issues into solving the climate crisis making it harder not easier to solve.
@peinliche_Befragung there is no "single solution," anyone who thinks there is is oversimplifying the issue. There are many sources of emissions in various sectors making up different proprotions of the global total and they all need solutions. I'm not sure how you'd like this presented or how much time you have. Do you want major principles? Major individual actions? Or a breakdown of emissions sources and their various solutions?
Credit to the presenter for a job well done. Honest. Clear. Direct. Fair. Not pulling her punches. Probably the best that I have seen on MSM. Ironic that she is platformed by a fossil fuel state!
The only chance of getting anywhere is for each of us to make huge sacrifices in our life-styles as individuals. We can't expect anyone else to do it for us. Human nature being what it is condemns us to failure.
No it certainly isn't. The technology exists to produce all the energy we need cleanly. The biggest issue is the massive overconsumption of the rich, especially in the global north.
Most of the global population does not need to reduce its "carbon footprint". The people who must are the top 1% in the global north who are hugely over consuming vs their fair share.
Humanity has too much of an impact on the climate... Of course you don't follow climate researchers and scientists. The Earth is not a playground. Everything has a cause and effect... common sense is no longer universal, which is why some people today question the facts and call climate change and the health crisis a conspiracy...
We know you think they are different but for millions of years it changed some sometimes fast and sometimes slow but it's always been destructive . You are not going to give up all the progress made in the world to lower your impact, power cars and being warm when it's cold or cooler when it's hot. Because that is the only way to do what people want done.
