One of the best ideas I take away from your videos is the ability to do repetitive tasks and make them more efficient as you progress. By the time you're done, what seemed to take a little while is done quite quickly. Speeding up the video doesn't hurt either, but you can see your process evolving as you work. Great job.
Great minds think alike! It's time for a Jimmy Diresta and Adam Savage (Tested) mash up. You both created the same project with amazing and unique variations. Combine the two and the world will explode!
This is great! My workshop is under the roof and there are no vertical surfaces to install tool walls. On top the flexibility with the castors. Thank you for sharing!
good stuff, classic delivery, still I picked up some tip tidbits along the way, thanks ! and Willy shows up at the end. Howdy ! Keep on trucking (from France) !
Sometimes jimmydiresta videos are like Bob Ross paintings, a lot of stuff flying around and then all of the sudden it all comes together and I silently cheer.
I'd love to see a video on your thoughts regarding brad nails vs staples, nails vs screws, self-boring screws and the like. Thoroughly enjoy your tips and tricks videos along with all of your content. Really beautiful and excellent work Jimmy!
Jimmy D... You inspire the shit outta me. I'm a multi tour combat vet, that only finds solace in creating. You've pushed me forward again and again. Thank you. My only question- What is the proper tautness I should keep my band-saw blade at? And how can I determine what tension I'll need for tougher/weaker materials?
When he's using that DeWalt track saw, how does he keep it from sliding off-track? is there some kind of clamp, or does it just sit still while he's cutting? I thought I saw it move slightly while he was using it, but maybe that was just the way the shot look. Thanks U DA Man Jimmy.
Nice. Was there an issue with making the A-frame from straight pieces instead of sheet of plywood? I would think biscuits would be strong enough and have less waste and effort.
Awesome. Any possibility of some plans for these? My wife is a literacy teacher at a public school and these would be perfect with some dry erase boards on the sides for her students.
Ever think about making a DIY track saw? Not the standard guide board thing but something that has some real features? Would love your thoughts on that kind of a project. BTW this is a great project - thanks for sharing
I do shift work & now have a little shop in my garage for days off...I come home put on your movies & just relax & learn thank you :)
Willy seems like an old soul. I am amazed to see him always busy if he isn't helping you he is cleaning up. Nice build Jimmy, congrats on the subs.
I liked when you attached the ledge to the bottom near the end. If it looks straight, it is straight.
Kevin Youngblut hahah there was a mark. But was invisible
Awww. I was just about to remark, that you're the master of eyeballing...
jimmydiresta
If it looks straight it is straight. J. DiResta :)
Thats exactly what I was thinking when I saw it!
That looks like such an awesome spot for the kids
