- We took our Navitas Club Car Precedent with a 72 volt lithium battery conversion to the track to put down some real numbers. The cart is powered by a eco battery 72 volt kit with a navitas 5kw 600 amp motor and controller set up. Some impressive numbers coming from this bolt on conversion. We are running a stock club car axle with stock gears 12" rims with 20" overall size tires. We put down a 2.4 60 foot. 330 feet at 8.38 seconds with speeds of 39 mph! Topped out speed at 41 mph at the quarter mile. Pretty fast street legal golf cart that is stock height cart. We had a great time at lapeer dragway! Its always a good time. Gotta love 72v! My 04 precedent is running a 72v lipo pack, navitas controller and still on the stock motor... Eventually I want to upgrade it to 5kw ac... She'll roast the 26" tires as is though

You're running 72 volts into a stock 48 volt DC motor with a Navitas DC controller?
That's asking for a smoke show. I've got the 72 volt LiFePO4 BigBattery running into the 5kw Navitas system. 26 inch tires on 16 inch Chevy Cobalt wheels. Tops out at 52 mph. Out accelerates any car at the traffic lights 😁
@@goldenlife9856 she's on a full ac kit now... The stock motor handled it but got hot pretty quick any time you would climb a hill... Got 6 months or so out of the stock motor on 72v though

I cannot find a place to just message you directly - I am creating a hybrid ATV/golf cart for someone in a wheelchair. Think we have everything figured out but I am starting fresh with all the electronics. Going to be attaching the golf cart motor to the front end of a four-wheel drive ATV - overall weight and other dimensions should remain kind of close, except for the weight of the wheelchair. Plum quick quoted me there most advanced electronics package at around $2,100 plus the battery. Do I need to start at the upper echelon system? Are the prices for a new 36 volt / 48 volt / 72 volt close enough in comparison that dollar-wise I am best to go with the new AC conversion? Because they are so close in price? You do a lot of projects, I'm sure you have a lot of stuff laying around that could be used. Anything you might want to sell for my prototype? Thanks, and really enjoy your videos.

I have a stupid question can you do a "what electric Motors to look for/teach us dummies that don't know nothin" I love electric power but I wanna build a sick ass dragster kart finding a go kart on market place stretch it widen the rear and find like a 100lb electric industrial motor like a big one lol but would that even work??
My knowledge is more in the golf cart stuff. I could tell you all the parts you needed to make it work on a go kart frame. Would be a similar setup as the cart in this video.
