Thankful someone who actually knows about drew's bag and buzzz reviewed the disc! That's what I thought when I reviewed this disc, but I'm a hack and a fraud so i didn't check to see if his buzzz truly was SUPER flippy like I though. BC the supra def feels like a buzzz but doesn't fly like it as much as I thought (finally figured that out after reviewing it for like an hour lol)

@Apollo Disc Golf @Bodanza Disc Golf One of my favorite disc reviews I've ever watched. Insightful, concise, meaningful content. I feel most go way too in depth on shapes and plastics just to add time to the video. You covered everything I'd need to know without wasting a bunch of time. Killer video. Only thing lacking was a flight tracker on the flights. I know nothing about producing videos or how hard that is to do, but it is such a game changer, especially for anyone watching on smaller mobile screens or with sky/woods backgrounds (so every shot basically. ha) that make it hard to follow the disc. (Anthony, you, too, on the flight tracker). Hopefully this comes across as constructive and not critical. Love your stuff. Keep it up. Thanks so much to both of you for the content.
Picked up a 180g white launch edition supra recently. I'd number it 5/4/-2/0.5. For reference, I throw Wraiths RHBH about 375ft on controlled golf lines. 415ft to 430ft just launching them in a field. Your mileage may vary.
Supra was more understable than expected. It never burned all the way over into a cut roll, but it turned consistently. It's not what I was expecting, but it did turn out to be something I liked. After waaay too long trying to make it be the straight mid I thought it would be, I finally gave up and just accepted that it's a disc that turns. Then it was great. I could trust it to turn. It wasn't a case of "I can make this disc turn when I hit it right." It was a case of "this disc always turns. I can trust that it will turn." It was actually really great. I threw it down a bunch of left gaps where I would typically throw a forehand to get that left-to-right movement. The Supra did a great job of turning right on my backhand every time. Good, smooth turns. It only crashed over if I started it off too flat or just smacked it like a driver.
Not a straight mid. But it's a great understable disc.
One thing I'll mention is that it is low glide. Noticeably lost altitude quicker than my other mids. So just know that it needs a little height.
I'm hopeful the composite plastic Supra (whenever that is released) will push the stability of the disc up to that true straight mid flight.
yeah, the glide is definitely something I didn't really touch on... But I can for sure see how it has less glide than the others!
I've had one for a few weeks now and I really like it. I don't know if I'm taking the MD1 out of the bag for this, but I also don't think the Supra is leaving the bag. It keeps surprising me by doing exactly what I want it to!
Yeah it’s a solid disc! Definitely had a unique feel to it compared to the MD1
Drew just posted an "In the Bag" yesterday and had 4 different Z Buzzz's in his bag and doesn't bag the Supra which I found interesting.

I think he mentions that the in the bag was during Jonesboro. And if that’s true then it was filmed before the Supra was made or approved!

I’m telling you, that light orange Z plastic is DIFFERENT. He has that buzzz worn in to perfection, just to the point where it doesn’t burn over.

Yeah the old Z plastic is SO GOOD! Don't know if it's because its actually better or if its just because it's older and different than what you can get now 😂

There are already so many straight mids on the market that all feel amazing in the hand. It really just comes down to which one feels the best in your grip
Oh for sure! This one is the most unique I think too! So will probably be polarizing for people, you would either love the feel and have nothing else like it, or it will be uncomfortable in which case there are a ton of different options like you said!
Drew is bagging 4 old buzzes right now. I buzz OS that is very stable and 3 flippy bois.
I believe that was from the Jonesboro tournament earlier this year! The Supra has for sure made it's way in there by now! It would be interesting what he does with his midrange lineup now!

I would say this is a touch less stable than a Pathfinder! But they are pretty close!
For me i dont have a problem with lettering on the inside rim because i fan grip everything for throwing except my distance drivers
Yeah, I mainly power grip everything! But it still didn't really bother me

Thank you for this video. I love the Era. I love the plastic. Just bought the last two orange Supra's from Infinite. Hoping this disc flies like my Meteors. Love the Meteor, but they are too domey for my taste.

I would say this is a little more stable than a Meteor! At least the meteor I have thrown... But I agree, with Marcus, less dome and less glide for sure

The Supra is supposed to mimic the Buzzz? I would have never guessed that as it doesn't resemble it's flight profile or design
Yeah, that was one of the points I was trying to make! I think a lot of people were expecting a buzzz. But it’s not, it’s less stable, more like a beat up buzzz!
The sport is trending to disc collecting. Justifiable as an enthusiastic frisbee junkie, but searching to find and throw the perfect plastic don't mean a thing if you fails to make repeatable shots.
Changing flavors, tweaking flight characteristics, swapping out cuz you got a new one, may result in improvements. But putting the old tried and true back in the bag come game time, chicken dinner.
So support and grow the sport: new manufacturing, new content providers, new courses and local events. Be one.
There may never be another boom in this sport like this generation.

Oh yeah... with all the new discs I try, most of the time when it comes to performing... I always just revert back to the tried and true molds I have thrown for years! It's just so hard to replace discs that you know like the back of your hand in ever situation!

Yeah, it sounds like that in the bag video was filmed during the Jonesboro Open, so they hadn’t released the Supra yet. Would be interesting to see how many of the flippy ones will be replaced with the Supra at the start of next year!

Gateway Prophecy has that blocky design. However they are a bit more stable i think

Yeah. I’m not sure! I’m sure he stuck with the Buzzzes for the feel and because he had thrown them and knew them so well by the time he threw it enough to have it that understable
No one gives gateway any love but they make the element which sounds like a similar disc as well.
Oh man. I LOVE the Element!! I rocked those for a while back in 2013-2015ish to compliment to my Buzzzes! Such a great mid! You just have to get past the rounded inside rim and it’s a wonderful mid… I might need to do a video on that!
@@ApolloDiscGolf dude please! Gateway has a bunch of great discs other than putters that get no light shined on them. And diamond plastic is great. Specifically the Diablo(thunderbird numbers), mystic(overstable driver), journey(stable-understable driver), and demon (overstable mid) are phenomenal for faster stuff. The chief and shaman are also great slower speed discs. And you’d be the first high quality channel to shine a bright light on gateway for a while if you reviewed any of these. Everyone has an Athena review but do a quick search for reviews of gateway discs and you’ll find there’s not much out there.
@@wreagin1 Yeah I might have to do a review on some of their stuff! I have always thought they have a few underrated mold outside their putters! And even their putters... with so many new players in the past two years, I bet there are a ton of people who don't know much about their putters!

Yeah but I’m terms of comparing it to a Buzzz… it’s not the same because someone can’t just pick up a Buzzz and it fly anywhere close to that! It flies like a completely different disc than a stock buzzz. That’s what I meant
